"Depends on what you can contribute" said Skye. "Oh and theres a rebellion of magic users popping up all over the place" he said in answer to Taurin.

"Like I said, glass cannon," Aurelius said, "I mean… I guess I'm also fairly smart, so there's that, but…"
"He's powerful," Septima said, "He's an absolute terror in a real fight. Just wears out quickly, susceptible to injury…"
"But he is really intelligent," Rosalie piped up, "He can pick up just about any skill on the fly."
"So we keep him in a team of defensive geniuses" said Skye, "Problem solved"
"I'm no genius…" he huffed softly, "In fact, quite the opposite. I act on gut feelings, and I'm a disaster. I'm just good with books and understanding things the first time I hear about them. I think Septima would be far better at defensive tactics than I would."
"There's a place for you somewhere," Septima promised, "We might not know until we get there."
"So you're going too, huh?" Taurin asked, "Guess that means I have to tag along." He snapped his fingers at the newcomers and a small flame appeared between his thumb and index finger. "I've got pyrokinesis. I'm sure there's a place for someone with my skill set."
"You'll fit right in with my sister then" said Skye, "She's half Solaris, in other words half fireball"
"More like volcano" said Silver.
"He may control fire, but he's actually really soft," Aurelius said, "I know you talked about your sisters being terrifying, but he's not. That said, he'll get along with anyone."
"A soft fire user?" said Silver, "That'll be the day"
"Well, he's not wrong," Taurin said, "I'm kind of the exception, not the rule. I'd compare myself to more of the warmth of the hearth than a relentless blaze."
Aurelius nodded. "That's exactly what I mean."
"Right" said Skye, "anyway we can head out for the resistance anytime you like"
"Of course. I'll pack up my things, and we can go. Lee, are you coming?"
Rosalie shrugged. "I'd like to but… but I'm not good for anything…"
"There's a place for you, I'm sure," Aurelius said, "They might need healers or something. You're very compassionate, and that might be a good fit."
"Doubt it, but okay…"
Septima went back into her room to gather up a few things, and she walked in, slinging her bag over her shoulder. "I'm ready whenever you are."
"Good, 4 of you, two of us," said Skye, "We can handle that right?" he asked Silver.
"We're walking, " Septima ordered, "No way is anyone carrying Taurin."
"Suit yourselves" said Skye, figuring it would be best not to argue with her over it twice in one day.
"Buddy, I weigh over two-hundred pounds. I'm pretty sure you don't want to lift me and someone else," Taurin said.
Rosalie came back in with her own bag and set it down on the table. She had changed from a dress into some pants, boots, and a loose-fitting top layered with a brown jacket.
"I hope this is actually a good idea," she whispered.
"I am also a huge wolf" said Skye, and weather we all go on foot or not I don't think either of us can stand walking all day.
"If you really want to go there, you'd be best off taking our lightweight to compensate, but I can't say I recommend it. Besides, Septima and I at least are very well-versed in traveling long distances by foot. Depending on how far it is, it might not even be a big deal."
"Calling me a lightweight…" Aurelius muttered, crossing his arms.
"Oh shut it Skye" said Silver, "We'll figure it out on the road."
"Yeah, let's just get walking and see how everyone feels," Septima said.
Aurelius bit his lip when she said that, but he didn't say anything in return.
Skye rolled his eyes, shifting as he got outside.
Taurin strapped his warhammer to his back once everyone started leaving, and he followed them out, making sure to lock the door behind them.
Skye noted the last action, before loping out further into the woods ahead, not waiting for the others.
Taurin held up the rear for a bit, but he had caught up before they were out of the village and in the woods. He kept a close eye on Aurelius, suddenly feeling concerned for the young man.
Silver shifted to wolf form and kept pace with the others while Skye scouted ahead to the edge of the valley.
(I gtg sleep now!)
