"Oh good, so this is it," Septima said, taking in her surroundings.
She silently hoped they had made the right choice. Of course, a rebellion needed to happen, but was it so wise to take Aurelius here in his current state? She looked to him again. He was half-asleep where he still clung to Silver's back.
Skye and the others spread out, Arthur calling over one guy, who turned out to be the leader.
"Oi! Ray!" Arthur yelled, "Come meet the new recruits!"
Septima then looked the direction of the guy Arthur was talking to. She waved, then checked that her siblings were still following.
( "Ray" is not my character, I made him up on the fly so feel free to use him…. Please don't leave all the extras to me…. my characters are a handful as it is… XD)
Ray came over, "I take it you're Skye and Silver?" he asked, gesturing to the two.
"That's us," said Skye, "And we brought more reinforcements too!"
(Okay! Got it!)
Septima stepped forwards and shook his hand.
"I'm Septima. That's Aurelius…" She pointed at where he was slumped over Sliver's back.
Ray looked as if he was about to say something about it, but before he could, Septima spoke up.
"He was taken… In a prison cell for well over a month. They barely fed him, and he's still recovering. It's… it's fine."
Taurin stepped up next to Septima. "Name's Taurin. I'm her older brother, and Rosalie over here is our little sister. I hope we can be of use to your cause."
"Well, I'm certain all of you have a place here. We need as many hands as we can get," Ray replied.
Skye grinned, "Have any more of our lot turned up?" he asked Arthur,
Arthur shrugged, "Well, we have me Alex and Blaze. Sirus couldn't make it but we have Damian and Frost, we also have the twins and Avalanche. But they're all elsewhere at different outposts."
Skye nodded, "I'm surprised Avalanche came out here…"
"So there are more outposts out there?" Septima asked Arthur, "Actually, if you don't mind, could you tell me how all of this works so I know what we're getting ourselves into? All I know is that for some reason, a lot of people without magic hate us and want us dead or imprisoned, and it's not okay."
"Well I only got out here a week ago," said Arthur, "But yeah, there are other outposts for resistance folks to hang out and collect intel. Basically we send we people out to infiltrate, spy, and sabotage anything we can that relates to imprisoning or harming out kind."
"Alright, good to know," Septima said, "I was slightly afraid that this might turn into a full-out war, and it might, but if we can do what we are right now, we'll at least have some advantages."
"It probably will turn into a war, right after we protest publicly," said Arthur, " But first we need numbers to do so."
"Yeah, luckily we have the power, even if we're less numerous than normal humans," Septima said, "But hey, uh… let's get my friend over here somewhere to lie down, if that's alright."
Arthur nodded, "There are a few other healers over there" he gestured to oneof the other tents and Silver immediately headed off.
Aurelius became a little more alert than before.
"Hey… where are we?" he asked, "Did we make it?"
"Yeah." Said Silver, quickly explaining Aurelius' condition. "Just hang on and let them help you off of me."
"Okay," Aurelius replied.
Two of the people there helped him off Silver's back and had him lie down on one of the cots in a nearby tent. He didn't know what they were going to do to help him, really.
Aurelius started to sit up on the cot instead of lying down, once they had left him alone for a moment.
Silver rolled his eyes, "There really isn't anything wrong with you." He said casually "you're just malnourished."
"Well, yeah, I know that… My question is, what's going to be done about it? It's not like I'm immediately going to get better."
Aurelius crossed his arms in front of him, his white blue eyes flickering with great intensity.
"I dunno. Medical help seems like it's not going to do anything."
"All you need is food, rest, and activity." Said Silver flatly, "but at the same time you'd be of no use in a fight. Which is why you're here."
Aurelius grumbled. "Yeah, yeah. I know, okay?"
He ran a hand through his hair, extremely frustrated and trying his best not to seem hostile towards Silver; he really didn't mean it. This whole situation was just terrible, and there wasn't much he could do about it.
"I'll try to pull myself back together, hopefully sooner rather than later."
"Hey I didn't mean to make you feel bad about it." Said Silver. "You'll probably have a job of your own soon enough."
"It's not your fault I'm hard on myself," Aurelius told him, "Gods, it's too bad you met me while I'm like this."
"I'm just glad you aren't someone who tries to get hurt." said Silver flatly. "Unlike Some people I know…."
"Septima says I have no sense of self-preservation, so I wouldn't say that," Aurelius replied, "Well, it's not that I try to get hurt. I just don't care whether I get hurt or not, as long as the cause is great enough. Some people call it brave, others might call it foolish. I'm not sure I agree with either."
"Oh great…." said Silver sarcastically, "And I thought you might be reasonable!"
Aurelius smiled very slightly. "I try to be…"
His smile faded, and his eyes were very dull, perhaps sad. He looked right past Silver, towards the blank wall of the tent.
