"W-what are you doing there?" Septima asked, suddenly feeling like something was off. She figured it was just some magic stuff, but couldn't help her worry.
"W-what are you doing there?" Septima asked, suddenly feeling like something was off. She figured it was just some magic stuff, but couldn't help her worry.
"Like I said, Hang on tight" He said his voice laughing as he said the last word of the incantation before leaping off the cliff, "Astros!" Suddenly it seemed as if the stars had come down to surround them as Skye loped across a path seemingly made from stardust, looking down you could see the land far below them as Skye picked up his pace.
Septima's eyes widened and she drew in a sharp breath. She was more shocked and in awe than scared.
"That's… crazy…" she whispered, "It's beautiful out here…"
"Glad you think so," said Skye, distracted by concentration. once he'd figured out their path he drew in a deep breath, letting out a long, mid-pitched, musical howl, infused with magic so his freind would hear it.
Silver had been relaxed against the old bars of his cell when he heard Skye's call, "Glad to hear it pal" he said softly, wishing he could howl in return without upsetting the guards, and hurting his ears.
"We're close, aren't we?" Septima asked, looking ahead through the dark, "You're trying to communicate with someone…"
Aurelius was distractedly tapping at the bars of his cell when he heard a whisper come from Silver. He looked up, curious as to whether he was talking to himself or someone else.
Skye let his call continue for a few minutes before responding, "No. we're nowhere near close, but I have a link with my freind that'll allow him to hear me."
Silver sat there listening to the call for a few moments before remembering something, rustling in his bag for a moment he pulled out an old panflute. Dusting it off he raised it to his lips and began to play a haunting tune similar to Skye's howl. Silver let his Luna aura flow into the song as he played, knowing Skye would hear it.
"Oh…" Septima muttered, "Well, that's good at least. You know for sure he's alive."
Aurelius watched in awe as Silver played the panflute. A shiver went down his spine at the sound of the chilling tune, and he couldn't help wonder if it maybe had some magical properties.
Skye's ears pricked up when he heard Silver's song, "Yeah, It's good to know," and they perked up even more when he heard the response from the triplets, "Its also a good way to let the rest of my nosy siblings know I'm still alive" he said before howling his response.
"You have siblings, too…" Septima sighed, "I know I miss mine. I wish I had a way to tell them I was okay. I know my younger sister must be worried sick."
Skye's howl finally died, "I think it'd be better to have her worried about you then have her here with you where she could get hurt right?" said Skye as he began his descent.
Silver let his song die, happy that not only Skye had heard his song, But that his big brothers had heard it too…
"Yeah, she couldn't handle it… She's very soft and sweet, and a little clumsy," Septima said, "But truth be told, I wish I had my older brother with me… He makes me feel a lot more secure, and he's a lot stronger than I am."
Septima's grip had fallen slack, but she tightened it again.
"That was beautiful," Aurelius called from between the bars, "Where'd you learn to play?"
Silver turned to his fellow prisoner, "My mom taught me when I was little" he said simply, pushing away old memories.
"Then why didn't he come with you?" asked SKye as the spell let them beck down on the crest of a hill.
Aurelius sighed. Last thing he needed was a reminder of mothers…
"She uh… she taught you well, then."
"He's too busy protecting other people. Why follow a woman who can handle herself? I would've felt awful asking him to come," Septima replied, "Besides, if there's any need for stealth getting our friends out of there, I'm not so sure he could do it."
"I think stealth will be the least of our potential problems" said Skye as he loped down the hill and into the next stretch of trees.
(Morning! I think we can assume MOONY isn't coming back…)
(Yeah, probably not…)
"Mhm… We can only hope we've got a bit of luck on our side here. If not, though, I'm a perfectly capable fighter, and I'll make sure to pull my own weight and then some," Septima said.
"You can count on me for that too" said Skye, breaking out of the trees and onto a flat plateau.
"Good to know," Septima muttered. She held on a little tighter to make sure she didn't fall.
"FYI I can keep going all night so let me know if you get too tired" said skye, sensing the adjustment in her grip.
"I'm fine. Just jolted a little there," she told him, "How far are we talking, exactly?"
"If I went to my limit I could have us there tonight, but I would be drop-dead exhausted, and we might have a trail of guard on our tail. Going at this rate we should get there by tomorrow night assuming we dont stop to rest." Said Skye "also the first option involves magic"
"That first option wouldn't be so wise," Septima said, "We should probably rest for a little bit at some point, because I'm sure we'll have to do some amount of fighting our way out."
"Probably," said Skye, leaping over a fallen log, "But we should wait until morning, that way it will be harder for guards to spot us."
"Right," Septima agreed, "You call the shots, though. I'm just along for the ride."
"You're the rider" said Skye "we have to work as a team"
