"One of my buddies went missing awhile ago, he had powers too," said Skye slowly, not sure if he should trust her, "but why are you telling me?"
"One of my buddies went missing awhile ago, he had powers too," said Skye slowly, not sure if he should trust her, "but why are you telling me?"
“I overheard your conversation in that bar… I thought you might know something, and perhaps we could help each other,” Septima replied, “I wouldn’t have approached you had I deemed it unsafe to do so.”
Skye couldn't help but smirk, "I'm always open to team up," he said, "Besides it'll be a bit easier with someone to watch your back" Not that I'm going to trust you with everything right away,
“Alright then… do you have any sort of plan? What else have you found out? I’m just about clueless. All I know is my friends are gone…” Septima sighed, “I’ll have to trust you I guess. At least, as much as one can trust a perfect stranger.”
"I don't really do plans" said Skye, "And as for info all I needed was a location, and now I have it"
"Alright, then. I guess that is all we need," Septima said, "Were you heading straight there?"
"Yeah, more or less" Said Skye, "Why? did you have another idea?"
"No, I just didn't want to get in the way if you had other plans. Besides, we probably need to get there as quickly as possible. No telling what they're doing to our friends in there."
She sighed a little bit, and while this breakthrough had been a relief, she was still worried.
"Well I'm going to keep moving then," said Skye turning to head out onto the street on the other side of the alley.
Septima nodded and followed quietly. She opened her mouth to ask him something, but quickly changed her mind, figuring it wasn't something he'd want to answer. She fastened the buttons on her coat and kept walking.
It didn't take them too long before reaching the trees just outside the village, Skye kept walking a little farther off the path before dumping the cloak, revealing his multicolored hair. "I don't think I ever got your name" he said to the girl following him.
"Oh. I suppose that's important. I'm Septima. What about you?"
She looked him up and down, and was somewhat mesmerized by his hair.
"Skye" he replied before pausing and turning around to face her, "I don't suppose you'd mind to much if I made an effort to get to our freinds a bit faster would you?" he asked
"By all means, do it. I'm sure I can keep up," Septima said, brushing a strand of dark brown hair out of her eyes.
Skye nodded before shifting to wolf form, and padding up beside her, "You may as well ride," he said, "It'll be faster that way."
Septima smiled. "Oh, okay! That's… not what I expected, but this is cool!"
She carefully climbed on Skye's back and grabbed onto some of the fur around his neck.
"I'm not hurting you, am I?"
"Nah" said Skye as he padded off into the woods, quickly increasing his gait to a steady, ground eating, lope.
Septima sighed softly. She wasn't so sure what they might have to face, plus she was in the company of a stranger. At least he had powers too. That meant she could somewhat trust him.
"Hey, I think you should know that I've got powers… Just so you don't suspect me of trying to catch you or get you locked up or anything."
"I figured as much" said Skye relaxing into the woods around him as his paws thudded softly on the forest floor.
"Oh, okay… So you'll just take my word for it…" she whispered, "I dunno, you seemed awfully wary of me at first, but I guess rightfully so."
"Street guts" Said Skye as a way of explanation, "Being initally wary of people is a good way to stay alive, And not that I actually trust you just yet, I am smart enough to realize that we're after the same thing at the moment"
"That's perfectly fair," Septima said, "I'm about on the same page. But unfortunately, I'm so worried about my friends that I'm almost willing to overlook danger. But that wouldn't be good for anyone…"
"Yeah, best to stay on your toes," said Skye as he swerved slightly to the left. "Hang on tight ok?"
"Yeah, I gotcha," Septima muttered, tightening her grip a little bit. "I'll be fine."
Skye couldn't help smirking, knowing that what he was about to do would definitely freak her out just a little. "Altas" he muttered, summoning his aura in violet, silver, and blue whisps as the underbrush fell away to reveal the fact that they were headed straight for a cliff.
