(thanks!)
Fae felt a pleasant rush of warmth, as if she'd accomplished something. "Thanks!", she replied as they entered the sweet smelling flower shop, British accent showing through more than ever.

(@Chronicle, it's in Niagara falls, New York, in March just before Easter. I'm not sure what "beta tester" means, but I know for sure that you can't be that bad.
(@TopazWyrmlet~, Are you guys allowing magical characters? The fact that it's in the real world is kind of putting me off. Most of my characters are fantasy characters.
If not, that's fine!)
"Hah, you sound like August," he lightly teased, reaching for her arm again with a light hand.
(yeah, of course! Fae is magic, as will be further explained later)
Fae breathed in the heady aroma of flowers, tilting her head at Cruz. "Is that a bad thing?", she asked playfully, not really meaning it.
"Not at all," he answered, "unless you want to be single and infatuated with dirt in the prime of your life." He snickered.
Fae couldn't stand it any longer. With tears springing to her eyes, she burst out laughing, doubling over with her wings shaking with each spurt of loud laughter. Luckily, there weren't many people in the cutesy shop, but even so, the pair at the cashier shot her and Cruz strange looks. Straightening up, Fae walked to one of the tables displaying a colorful array of flowers, an extra bounce in her step. "If you find anything yellow, could you please let me know?", she asked Cruz, selecting a sweet little potted jade plant. "This one's for Valentina, she's super moody and obsessed with succulents. Her present from last month broke on the way to the hospital, and I haven't gotten her a replacement yet.", she commented to her companion.
"Haha, okay then!" He humored brightly, expression lit up by her laughter. However messy it was, it just made him feel even more happily helpless. "I'll keep my eyes peeled," he promised, looking around the colorful shop, admiring the blooms silently. Though, he didn't get too outwardly obsessed, since he did still want to keep his "manly" image. Of course.
(Cruz is killing me so much in a goooooood wayyyyyyyyyy ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh)
Amused by this obvious show of 'manliness', Fae turned to the counter, where an assortment of lollipops had been placed along with some fruity chocolates. Their presence bemused her slightly, as they seemed very out of place, put she was pulled towards them nonetheless. She ended up picking ten, five of them for the sweet-tooth children on Floor 5 of St. Micheal's Hospital, four for some of the sugar-loving nurses, and one orange-flavored one for herself.
Cruz kept a bit of a distance, but he seemed particularly interested in a pot of blood orange lilies, whether he admitted it or not. And it was easy to see his peeking fascination with the vividly colored blooms. Oh, and secondly, largely distracted by her, and her gentle enthusiasm. It almost made his jaw hurt, how badly he wanted something to say that'd reassure his confidence. Girls've never made him feel like that before.
(aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh)
Fae could almost feel the tension between her and Cruz. Wings tucked neatly behind her, she stepped lightly over to where Cruz was standing, studying a vase of delicate bluebells as Grace hopped out of handbag to admire some nearby orchids that mirrored her gorgeous eyes. "What do you think of these?", she asked, showing him some gorgeous yellow peonies with lacy petals.
He looked between her and the flowers, but his gaze seemed more attached to Fae. "Beautiful." He commented simply; it was… a blurred line between if he meant the flowers, or her. A slow bit of a crooked, happy smirk lifted his lips.
Fae began to heat up again, wings sharply moving in short, agitated movements. A fierce blush rose to her cheeks as she sensed the underlying message, heart beating furiously. You just met him!, she berated herself. He's FOUR YEARS older than you, Fae!. Still, a broad smile spread slowly across her face, stretching the faint smattering of freckles across her nose and cheeks. Grace tittered and hopped onto her shoulder, playing with a strand of loose pink hair.
"Anyhow. We should go check out." He commented in a smooth tone, tilting his head.
"Yeah.", Fae agreed, not letting the tremor slip into her voice this time. "Are you going to buy those lilies?', she asked, nodding towards the orange blooms.
He glanced back towards them, inhaling, "Nah… I'd probably end up killing them anyways,"
They walked in silence towards the cashier, where Macha paid for her items, opening a lollipop for herself and sucking on its smooth, sugared surface as they stepped back outside.
He hooked his arm around hers, "Back to the clay shack?" He asked, chocolate eyes flickering to her for direction.
"Yup.", she replied, secretly loving the feel of his arm against hers.. To break the tension, she said "Maybe we can make Mr. Ponticelli a statue of his beloved mud-wife?"
"Ohhh, I like the way you think, Fae." He laughed, liking, as she enjoyed the contact, the way her name slid off his tongue. "Hey, did I tell you that I play the guitar?" He grinned, "I'm normally an electric guitar kinda guy, but I'm not too bad on acoustic if I say so myself," he told her with a note of warm pride. And a mental note to show her someday.
Arilyn couldn't believe her eyes, all this amazing artwork, and she'd though she was good! She stopped at a glazed pot and inspected the intricate pattern, this was breath taking. With a jolt she realized what she was here for and turned to look for the manager, or at least a worker, but couldn't spot one at a glance. She stood there, to nervous to call out for some one, feeling awkward.
Fae found herself smiling again, so incredibly happy. ''Maybe you can show me when we're done our work?'', she asked.
Augustus lifted his gaze and attention, "Can I help you ma'am?" He called back to whomever was perusing the works.
"I'd be ecstatic to." He grinned broadly, accepting her request.
(I'm really sorry @TopazWyrmlet~ . I'm gonna make you suffer more.)
