(and on that dreary note, I'm going to start)

Arilyn swung her legs, staring at the city, which she still got lost in even though they'd lived here for three years now. She'd finished her chores, but now had nothing to do. No, that wasn't true, she could add a couple more pages to her scrap book, or force Lorcan to stop swooning over his new girlfriend and play soccer with her, but, no, she'd lost the scrap book, and she didn't have the heart to (literally) drag her brother away from his first girlfriend. Arilyn sighed, and got off the swing in their backyard. She'd have to go into town. But first, she had to find her shoes.

@julian

As Arilyn searched, she wondered what she would do once in town. There was that little clay shop she'd passed the other day, maybe she could ask for lessons. Ah ha! She pulled her sneakers out from under Lorcan's bed-what where they doing there?- and grinned at the small yellow cat circling her feet. Arilyn always got a horrible creeping sensation that the cat thought she was a bird. This thought was not helped as the cat went low to the ground, then pounced on Arilyn's feet. She brushed off the cat and, with some difficulties, pulled of the shoes with out tying them. She grabbed the little purse that held her wallet, phone, and keys, stopped to make sure she didn't have any stains on her bright orange dress, and headed out into the street, making sure the door locked behind her.

(Sure! Arilyn is about 15 and has her hair bleached a white blonde cut around her shoulders. She has olive skin and lime green eyes. She likes to draw, paint, scrap book, and make things out of cardboard. She’s kinda shy, but even so she likes to wear bright colors, usually dresses and knee high socks, and finds it very hard not to burst out when someone says somethings she disagrees with, such as global warming. She’s an avian (a person with bird wings) and has blue jay wingsthat have just about stopped growing.)

@KalamariCakes

Im back! )

He smiled, "Cruz means 'cross' in Spanish," he explained, "My family's very catholic, so… religiously that'd stick to my name," he shrugged a little, bringing a finger to pet Leum's spine. "Isn't Fae a dutch name? Doesn't that mean 'fairy'?" He asked.

@Natasha

(@TopazWyrmlet~ yes I am very good at tragic and horrible backstories. And Sabine's is a lesser tragic. Just wait till you hear what happened to Dani's other siblings. Especially her twin sister. Muahahahahaha So yeah. I'd say I'm pretty evil.)

@blue_topaz

"Yeah, that's pretty much it.", she replied. "It was my grandmother's idea." She shifted in her chair. "My family's mostly British and Irish. Barely anyone Dutch, but my grandmother had fallen in love with a Dutch man before her parents had forbidden any contact with him. She used to tell me that he could speak to the faeries, when I was little." Passing Grace a napkin for her to clean her scales (again), Fae continued. "Are you Catholic, then?"

@blue_topaz

(what hours does Fae work, @Lil-Owl? I know she starts at 10 am, but what time does she leave? Also, when will she be working when school starts up again? Will she be coming in the afternoon and at Lunch?)

@julian

As Arilyn walked, she scanned the people, looking for any danger. No one in particular stood out, but still… She tucked her wings firmly into the indentations on her back, in an uncomfortable, but likely safer position, her wings being the easiest part to grab.

After a few minutes of regretting not riding her bike here, Arilyn spotted the clay shop, and was a little taken aback by the girl sitting out side, playing the guitar. She had warm brown hair with red streaks, in a french braid down her back. She had on a leather jacket with black pants, boots, and a red shirt and lopsided beanie. Arilyn smiled weakly at her as she entered the shop, but once inside, all she could do was stand there in awe. She was enthralled.

ADHD. The curse she probably had, even though she hadn't been tested. All thoughts of asking for lesson in sculpting drifted from her mind as she wandered through the shop, her wings drifting into their normal resting place.

@KalamariCakes

Em, howabout she stops at around 3? August will probably decide her school hours when the time comes, after talking with her and such ))

"I claim so. But this habit seems to die pretty easily, I'm not the most devote Catholic," he shrugged a little, again, "I seem to get faster results when I take action versus praying," Cruz admitted.

@blue_topaz

(okay! so, that's about 5 hours of work, which is perfect considering her other responsibilities, such as the bakery, the hospital, theater classes, and her movement for gender equality [but more on the last 3 later ;)])

Fae nodded. "Understandable. I myself am an atheist, but I have nothing against religious people, unlike a few of my classmates." She made a face. "This place is great! Thanks for showing it to me!", she brushed her wingtip against the window by accident, the cold shocking her for a moment.

@blue_topaz

Fae got up from her seat, smiling from ear to ear. "Yeah, if you think that would be alright with Mr. Ponticelli. I need to pick up some little gifts for the kids at the hospital." This is so much fun!, she thought to herself happily.

@blue_topaz

Fae grinned back, a laugh bubbling up in her chest. "Oh, I will. You can count on my excellent memory.", she said dramatically in a hilariously ominous voice. "I'll explain more on the way.", she said to him as they shrugged on their coats and headed out, thanking the man behind the cashier on the way.

@blue_topaz

(freaks out and melts into a pool of aaahhhhhhhhhh)

I really should've brought my tuque, Fae thought regretfully as the frosty wind whipped her in the face. As they crossed the street, she began outlining her memorized shopping list. "My Gran is staying at the hospital right now, and I usually bring her a little gift every time I visit. There are a lot of little kids in her hallway too, and they've gotten to know me quite well over the last couple months, so I usually bring them a little something too. It cheers them up quite a bit, considering how long most of them have been cooped up." Many of them didn't have good families to go home to, some where in the hospital because of their families. Fae shook her head sadly. "They're usually so sad, despite all the wonderful nurses, so I try to help a bit, you know?" Fae hopped onto the sidewalk, secretly playing that game of 'don't step on the lines' as they strolled towards the garden emporium.

@KalamariCakes

No, its fine! :3 ))

Resting his hands back in his pockets, "That's very mice of you. I don't know much people who'd want to take the time to care for people like that," he kept up with her in a confident stride, "Caring's a good habit to get into I think,"

@Chronicle Beta Tester

(What's the setting for this? There is a slight possibility that I might join in soon.

Also, I've never done this type of thing before, and I'm not a good writer. I might be awful.)
