Thorn was lost in the waves of both the ocean and Lana. She let out a small noise as the kiss deepened. She leaned towards Lana and deepened the kiss even further.
Lana suddenly broke out of the kiss, her lips on Thorn's cheeks, ears, and neck. Light butterfly kisses that left heat in their wake. She brought her lips to the other girl's collarbones. The taste of the ocean and the slightest hint of roses filled Lana's senses.
Thorn let out a gasp as Lana started kissing other places that weren't her lips. Was this normal? She didn't care, it felt…. Right.
Lana pressed a kiss to the side of her mouth, taking a moment to whisper breathlessly, "Is this okay?"
Thorn smiled as she responded, "This is perfect."
She felt free with Lana. Her shackles of daylight gone with the wind.
Lana nodded and smiled back before continuing their make-out session. She let herself get lost in Thorn's arms, sinking into her and letting her emotions run wild.
Thorn felt as if layer after layer was being peeled away. This cold outer shell she had been. The happy child she had become. And all that was left was the rosen thorn beauty beneath. She had lost herself at the same time found herself. Beneath her thorny exterior.
Lana didn't know how long it lasted. It felt like mere seconds to her, but when she finally glanced up the moon was lower in the sky and she figured it must be pretty late. She sighed, pressing one last kiss to Thorn's lips. "Do you think we should head back?" she asked reluctantly.
Thorn looked to the sky at the moon. She looked at Lana sadly, "I think we might have to."
"We can come back here sometime soon," Lana promised, standing up and holding out a hand to help Thorn up.
Thorn took the hand as she smiled to the moon and the waves, "That would be real nice. Thank you Lana."
"No need to thank me," Lana said with a grin. "It's definitely my pleasure."
Thorn smiled softly as she placed a kiss on Lana's cheek, "That's wonderful. Maybe next time I can pay?"
"Depends on whether or not I have money, honestly," Lana laughed. "We shall see."
Thorn laughed along with her. The grin wouldn't leave her face, "Well I'll try to scrounge something up. I would love to treat you instead."
"Next time we should get ice cream," Lana recommended. "It's been ages since I've had quality ice cream."
Thorn nodded, "Yeah! I love ice cream. It's been forever since I had any ice cream."
"Okay, ice cream it is." The two of them approached the hospital.
Thorn looked at the hospital with slight distaste. She looked to Lana, "It's back to my cave for me. Want me to walk you to your room?"
Lana looked uncomfortable suddenly. She wasn't sure. It wasn't like she was in the hospital for normal reasons. What if the police had been called because she'd disappeared? Or worse, what if her aunt was there? "Um….yeah. Okay," she said, trying to retain a cool demeanor even though she was nervous.
Thorn offered a hand to Lana. Thorn was there because of her sun allergy. As long as she was back before sunrise, the workers shouldn't be worried. Her parents most certainly wouldn't have bothered to check up on her. And her brother was due to visit her next week.
Lana hesitantly took Thorn's hand. Somehow, the feeling of the other girl's hand in hers gave her a least a semblance of confidence. She tried to put on a brave face as the two of them approached the emergency enterance, since all other entrances were locked.
Thorn smiled at Lana as they approached the emergency entrance. She walked up to the doors before pausing, "What if they don't let us back in?"
"If we tell them who we are at the desk, they'll pull up our records," Lana said, although she wasn't exactly sure herself. "At least, I'm pretty sure that's what they'll do. Makes sense, right?"
Thorn nodded, "Yeah. Yeah that makes sense. I just hope they don't get mad."
