He gave a dry chuckle before he softly cupped her cheek. ”In our own time, Betty. You showed me that it will happen but I won't force you to marry a stranger. I can wait until you are ready.” Lysander promised.
He gave a dry chuckle before he softly cupped her cheek. ”In our own time, Betty. You showed me that it will happen but I won't force you to marry a stranger. I can wait until you are ready.” Lysander promised.
"I don't have a choice' Betty said "it's not like i don't want to I mean er" betty said flustered.
”Yes, you do! I am giving you that choice.” he stated firmly. ”Tell me, does what you see always come true?”
"Yes always" she said with a nod.
Lysander sighed, unsure if he was happy about that or frustrated. ”Then at the very least, I can be patient… Let you decide when it happens.” I won't expect you to love me… but I can wait until you're comfortable around me… I’ll settle for friends.
betty nodded
He gave her a light smile as he pulled back from her, brushing his thumb gently over the small scrape on her cheek.
she smiled gently.
He felt very awkward as he silently admired the woman, whose visions said she would be his first wife. ”Did you already eat something for breakfast?”
"no not very hungry" she said.
”Alright.” he nodded before gesturing to the medical supplies. ”I’m just going to put these away. There's more coffee in the kitchen if you want.”
she nodded.
Lysander stood, gathered the remaining bandages and walked out at a normal pace.
Betty shook her head and went upstairs to rest.
Lysander silently berated himself for sounding and acting like a fool as he put everything back. I sounded like a complete rip-off of that pathetic character from those damned books. If I knew that jerk wouldn't just replace them, I would destroy them. he sighed running a hand through his hair. I only read the series once because I was bored.
Betty layed downin her bed staring at the ceiling.
Lysander wasn't drawn to anger very often but he was tempted to shatter the unhelpful mirror at the moment. The only thing holding him back was the thought that it would be useful to Betty.
Betty hummed a song.
Lysander managed to relax slightly at the sound, easily locating where Betty was. He wasn't entirely sure if he recognized the tune but she had a lovely singing voice.
Betty stopped evrything stopped her singing her pulse her heartbeat
He had just taken the abandoned cups back to the kitchen when he heard the silence. Lysander was used to the quiet, having lived in it for a long time but it wasn't supposed to be like this now. Not with… ”Betty!” he raced up to her room where he had last heard her.
Betty layed there no pulse or heartbeat just laying there.
Lysander didn't waste a moment before he started CPR. Please wake up.
betty opened her eyes and inhailed deeply.
”Oh, thank goodness!” Lysander let out a heavy sigh of relief, restraining from holding her in his arms. ”What happened to you? Your heart stopped.”
