As the siblings slept, Bean moved her arms protectively over her brother and sister, afraid to lose them too. After Hailey, she swore she wouldn’t let the others out of her sight.

"Okay…" Mori curled up on the couch and, after a few minutes of struggling, managed to drift off onto a light sleep where he lay. He finally relaxed, but still stirred at every little noise.

Levi couldn't move. The zombie wasn't even holding his shoulders that hard, just every part of his body wouldn't do anything. Whatever sense of calm was keeping memories from his mind was now gone and one snuck though.

Captain had grabbed him by the shoulders and dragged him away. He'd shoved him through the back door and shouted at him to run, Captain will get the others and all meet up when it was all over. Once all this shit was over.

Levi felt a sharp pain in his shoulder, unsure if it was the zombies hand, teeth or something else, he couldn't bring himself to check. His legs gave out under him and he fell to his knees, leaving the zombie standing, and managed to roll sideways. "Help." He croaked quietly.

Earl was already up and raising his Beretta. "Stay calm everyone." He looked around, sweeping the room. "Where are you?"

Rachel looked up, grabbing her riot shield and spear. "Who's there?"

The siblings stirred, with Bean waking up first. “Mmm…” Bean rubbed her eyes as Luka and Lilac yawned.

"Hey, is anyone- oh fuck!" Tohru shouted as he stumbled across Levi and the zombie.
He shoved the zombie away and fired his gun twice, which was enough to take it down.
He rushed back to Levi's side, taking a knee next to him.
"Hey, hey, are you alright?"

Luka sat up quickly once he heard the gunfire. “W-Who’s out there?!” he cried out, holding onto his sisters. He was terrified as Bean held him close. The older sibling looked around as she tried to find the source of the noise.

Earl and Rachel were already walking into the room, both teens raising there guns, expecting to see zombies. "Where's the troubles?" Earl asked? Rachel was pulling out bandages and some painkillers. "Shoulders seem to be hurt the most…" She muttered.

"I dunno I dunno-" Levi stammered, panic seeping into his voice. He closed his eyes and leaned his unhurt shoulder against the wall, focusing on calming his breathing. "I dunno if it was a bite or-"

"I think he just scratched you." Rachel said, shoving pills into his hands as well as her canteen. "Pills in mouth. Drink." She started wrapping his shoulders with some bandages. "The wound isn't too bad from what I can tell."

Earl looked for more zombies, uneasy. "I thought we cleared them all out…?" He sighed. "I'm going to check the other rooms for more zombies.

The siblings held onto each other, still terrified from the gun shots. Lilac winced in pain a little but ignored it because she was too focused on staying with her siblings. Bean kept muttering things like “I’ll protect you guys…” and “No one will hurt us…” as Luka started whimpering.

Tohru placed a hand over Levi's knee in an effort to calm him.
"It's gonna be okay. We'll clean that wound up, and that'll keep it from getting infected. I don't think it's a bite."
Tohru was also a lot more shaken than his calm exterior would have indicated. His hands were beginning to tremble violently.
He too was injured, but he was lucky. It was just a few bruises, and then the wounds from the glass. It looked ugly. Blood streaked down his arms and soaked through his clothes where it had pierced near the small of his back and a couple of spots on his legs. He would have to remove some of the remaining shards from under his skin, but otherwise, he was fine.
"We should try to barricade ourselves upstairs, I think," Tohru whispered, "Some of the windows down here are broken. We don't have time to board them over, assuming we even have what we need to do so."

Rachel looked up to see the blood trailing down his back and bleeding through his pant legs.. "Shirt. Off, now." She pulled out some forceps and tweezers. "This might hurt."
She was starting to get tired of patching people up. There was too many people getting hurt, too many deaths. Rachel couldn't stand it anymore.

"I doesn't feel like just a scratch, are you fuckin' sure?" Levi said through gritted teeth before taking the pills with ease. He looked over at Tohru, "You look terrible, what happened to you?"

Bean got up as she helped Lilac to her feet. Luka followed. They walked into the other room. “Mr. Tohru…are you okay?” Luka asked, hugging his sister’s free arm as Lilac held back winces of pain. Bean stayed silent, just trying to keep her younger sister balanced.

Tohru drew back, feeling pretty defensive when faced with this stranger. She and the other guy had just… appeared. Without a word. He recognized Earl from the campsite and concluded they'd quietly been following, which was a bit untrustworthy to say the least.
"I can do it myself…" he murmured, an edge to his voice, "I have all the supplies anyhow."
A hard shudder passed down his body, and the memories that adrenaline had managed to dam up for a little bit started to overflow.
"Is… is anyone dead? Or bitten?" he asked, tremulously, dreading the answer.
He went from his knees next to Levi to sitting, slumped up against the wall. It was getting bizarrely hard to breathe.
"I fell in some broken glass," Tohru said , when he finally processed what Levi had asked.

“Lilac’s knife wedged in her side earlier but…we’re okay…” Bean muttered, sitting down next to Tohru as she sat Lilac down too. Luka sat next to them, tapping his hands on his knees. “Yeah…we should be asking you if you’re okay…” Luka looked up at Tohru.

"Yeah. Mori has a concussion. Lilac got a knife in the side. But Earl gave everyone food., so no one's hungry at least." Rachel said before shaking her head, processing what Tohru had. "No. Shirt off. You need medical attention." She crossed her arms. "I have experience in this sort of thing sir. I can help."

Earl walked back in, having checked the other rooms. "No zombies upstairs as far as I could find. Few bodies, but nothing else."
