Bean nodded, patting Mori on the back. “Yeah…it’ll be dark soon if we stay too long,” she sighed. Luka nodded, hugging his sister tighter.

"Right, let's go," Tohru said, pushing forwards after checking his compass to make sure they were heading the right way.
He tried to snap out of that strange, clouded headspace he was in, but it remained despite his efforts.
Mori kept close to Tohru, following along quietly at the man's side. "Where are we gonna stop on the way so that the zombies can't get us?" He asked after a bit.
"I don't know what's along the way," Tohru admitted, "but we'll pay attention to the time and make sure we're settled in long before it gets dark. I have a map, so we should be able to point out some towns along the way."
He didn't want to worry the kid, but saying he knew where they would go? Lying? It seemed worse.
"Okay…" Mori wasn't afraid of the dark, necessarily. Not in and of itself. But, considering his current situation, he had acquired what he considered to be a healthy wariness at night. What with zombies around, he had to be careful. That was all. Nothing else scared him about it at all. At least, that's what he had convinced himself of.
The siblings all followed Tohru and Mori after Luka took a glance back. He tightly held onto his sister’s hand as Bean held him close. It seemed as though Luka was a little hesitant to leave…nonetheless, he continued to follow the others as sadness continued to eat away at him. Lilac gripped onto Bean’s hand as well.
Earl followed the group with his sister, having decided he should tag along. However, he did stay a good distance away so they wouldn't see him and his sister. "Wonder when they'll figure out we're following them?"
Levi looked around at the members of the group, they all seemed so close, if not with the whole group, at least with someone. He felt a bit of an outlier. He jogged up to walk next to Tohru. "Where are we actually going?" He asked, "You never told me."
"Oh, right. We're trying for some of the islands on the east coast. Like the barrier island areas. With any luck, we should be able to find something in North Carolina. Otherwise… well… we'll get there when we get there. There's plenty of options. At least one ought to be safe," Tohru explained.
He glanced back at Levi.
"Where had you been going before? Were you looking for someone? Or did you have a safe destination in mind?"
"I was just heading to any safe place I knew to see if anyone from my old shelter was there. We all got separated when it was compromised." He said quietly. He bit his tongue to stop himself from crying. "But to be honest, I don't even know if any of them made it out."
Luka mumbled something about Hailey as he got closer to Bean. Bean held him close as she sighed. This was all her fault…if she had kept a better eye on Hailey, she wouldn’t have died…Lilac held onto Luka’s hand tightly.
Mori kept close to Tohru, not much in the mood for talking. He wanted to make sure that he was holding onto someone at all times so that he would feel safe and secure, although such things were nearly impossible to keep hold of these days.
(Bump)
(Man this died)
(Yeah ;-;)
(Alright. To revive this let' talk about things we wanted to happen)
(I'll go first. Zombie Rhino)
(Oop)
(I don’t know but I wanted Luka to get a nightmare-)
(…Why? He's a precious bean-)
(He also saw his twin sister die so….)
(Yeesh. Sounds like he and Earl are PTSD Buddies)
(And Mori lol. He's not really good at remembering what exactly his trauma is though lol)
(Although to be honest Bean and Lilac saw her die too…however, Luka was the closest to Hailey)
(lets just agree they all have trauma and figure out how to bring this back)
(Yeah. Ideas?)
