(Yeah)
That's good. Earl still needs to cause more shenanigans))
Mori kept his gaze on Levi, moving forward so he could cling to Tohru's hand. "R-Really?" His voice was soft and airy, as though he were both afraid and desperate to be heard. "Why can't I remember her…?"
Levi's voice caught in his throat as he remembered the day he'd heard about her. He hadn't known what happened but he knew it should have been him. "I don't know." He said quietly.
Mori sighed shakily. Levi didn't know what had happened to Mori's parents, and Mori couldn't tell him. He couldn't remember it at all. "W-Well, I… um… what else can you tell me about them?" He asked, still holding tightly to Tohru.
Tohru gently held Mori in return, and he looked up at Levi, concern in his eyes.
"I… I found him alone and injured, I can't say I know much either."
He blinked a few times, not sure how to say there was probably stuff they shouldn't dredge up. At least not yet.
Earl watched from afar, taking out a pack of cigarettes. "Ah. Seems like a family reunion." He contemplated pulling out his Beretta and scaring them, but decided against it. "Seems kind of evil." He sighed. Earl needed to get back to the tent and check on his sister. "Before she lights something on fire accidentally. How does she even do that? Seriously, I know she has a flamethrower but jeez."

"Thank you for keeping him safe." Levi said to Tohru. "I thought I'd never see you again."
"Well, I don't want to keep you guys up, you look like you were just leaving. I can tell you some things as we go though." He turned back to Mori and found himself smiling. Genuinely. For the first time in a long while.
Mori nodded a bit, still keeping close to Tohru, but at least seeming a little more at ease. He didn't smile back since he wasn't exactly happy, but he was feeling more hopeful for the future. He could actually learn things about his parents.
Bean held Luka and Lilac close as Tohru’s words about finding Mori alone suddenly started reminding her about how they were separated from their own parents. Luka noticed Bean upset and hugged her tightly. Bean smiled softly, running her fingers through her brother’s hair.

(Louder bump)
"Of course. I wasn't just going to leave him. It would've been cruel. Anyway, we were trying to head out, yeah," Tohru said, "We're heading south from here. It's probably going to be a long journey. But if it means safety, I don't care much."
He let Mori stick close by. Even though an actual family member was here now, he could understand the hesitancy.
Earl started walking closer, curious about the new arrival. "I wonder…" He looked between the kid and the new guy. "They look oddly similar…"
Mori briefly let go of Tohru's hand so that he could put on his bird mask, holding tightly to him again once it was on. "We should probably get going so we can find a place to stay before it gets dark outside…"
"Agreed," Tohru said, "It's still early, but the sooner we can find our next camp for the night the better. And maybe with any extra time, we can gather more food."
He too moved his hands away from Mori's, reaching up to tie his long hair back again.
Bean nodded in agreement. “Yeah, and who knows what comes out at night?” she sighed, as her siblings nodded. Anything could happen in the dark…they could get hurt, turned, or worse…killed. Luka and Lilac held onto their sister tightly.
"I do," Tohru replied, shuddering a bit, "I know all too well what's out there at night. That's how I got to where I am, I guess."
He looked down at his feet, letting out a shaky exhale. Maybe it was best he didn't talk about it. For everyone's sake. But he was still trying to process it.
“Hey, it’ll be okay…we’ll be safe soon,” Bean smiled sadly, trying to reassure Tohru. She was having a tough time dealing with everything but she wasn’t going to let the others suffer too. Lilac and Luka nodded, smiling. “Yeah! Soon we’ll be able to go back to normal…mostly…”
Mori held onto Tohru's arm, trembling lightly with nerves. He didn't really want to think about the zombies or anything else right now. He'd experienced enough in the past day as is. He adjusted his mask with his free hand, only his cool-toned gray eyes visible through the holes.
Tohru was trembling a bit too.
His mouth went dry as he thought about what happened that night. A small whimper escaped his throat, but he tried to push everything back down. They didn't need to know. Hell, even Tohru was having trouble working out some of the details.
Levi felt his heart fall into his stomach at the thought. He hoped the other six of his squad were okay, they'd all been seperated when their base was- well- compromised. He hoped he'd see them all again one day.
"Close to normal as we can get I hope," Levi said, blinking himself out of the memory. "I'm sorry, I don't actually know you three's names." He added quietly.
Bean smiled a little. “My name’s Bean Rose and these are my siblings Lilac and Luka,” she gestured to her brother and sister. The three of them had been separated from their parents and would do anything to see them again.
"I'm Tohru Yamakawa," he replied, "Sorry I didn't introduce myself earlier. It's been… hectic to say the least."
With any shred of perception, anyone could tell the man hadn't slept well in days. Hectic was probably an understatement.
Mori nodded a bit and hugged Tohru tightly to try and comfort him. His disheveled hair tumbled over the front of his mask, and muffled sniffles were audible through the material. "W-We… we should probably just get going, yeah…?" He asked weakly.
