Earl sat down on the porch, smoking a cigarette. He stared off into the area that the other zombies that had been, groaning, trying to find them.
All he could think about was how everyone could've died. His sister, Rachel, eaten.
The children, a bloody mess.
"Damn. I might be more messed up than I thought if I'm conjuring up images of dead people…" He muttered.
Mori got up on his hands and knees and dragged himself to his feet, clinging to the counter for support. He swayed and closed his eyes for a moment, staggering out of the bathroom to look for Rachel. Maybe she has more of the pills that will make it hurt less… He rubbed at his tears with one first, breathing heavily where he stood. "M-Miss Rachel…?" He called out weakly. "Hello…? Anyone?"
Tohru heard Mori's voice and went in the direction of the bathroom. He hadn't thought the kid was awake yet.
"Mori, is everything okay?" He called out as he walked down the hall.
Mori looked up at Tohru weakly, honestly looking pretty terrible. His hair was plastered to his pale forehead, and he was leaning against the wall so that he wouldn't fall over. "M-My head hurts, and I threw up… I thought miss Rachel might have some more of the stuff she gave me yesterday so that it would stop hurting…" He staggered, his eyelids fluttering as he grimaced. He was obviously very out of it.
Tohru offered his hand to take.
He was trying his best not to freak out. It was just a concussion, right? Which meant things would kind of suck now, but he'd get better with time. It also probably meant that they should stay here a couple of days. Not just for Mori, but for the others that were injured too. He would bring it up later.
"I have some medicine that should help, too," Tohru said, "Let's have you sit down for a while. I'll get you the medicine, some water, and anything else you need, okay?"
"O-Okay…" Mori followed Tohru as well as he could, shuffling along with his free arm folded tightly over his stomach. He didn't seem to feel well enough to take full steps without worrying about falling over, so he was going pretty slowly. "I wasn't very good at swallowing the medicine last night…"
Rachel blinked her eyes, groggy.
"Mori…?" She got up, looking around.
"Where is he…?" Rachel muttered. She hoped he was okay. His concussion looked bad, but she had thought the medicine would last until the headache ended.
"Where are you? Mori?" She said, starting up the stairs.
"Miss Rachel?" Mori looked around for her voice, wincing at the lights. "Mr. Tohru is getting me medicine for my headache because it hurts and I threw up." He explained, sounding dazed and woozy. "Is that okay?"
(Kinda wanna throw in another character ngl 😳👀)
Bean was holding Lilac close while being careful about her wound. Luka leaned against his oldest sister, staying quiet. He was scared…Before he could start crying, Bean pulled him close. “We’re going to be okay….” she whispered to him. We have to be… she thought to herself, still holding her brother and sister close.
(Name/any nicknames: Lukas King (Kas, King, whatever else you can come up with sdghnk)
Age: 13
Gender/pronouns: Male, He/Him/They (mostly he/him, though)
Sexuality: Bisexual
Personality: Kas is very confident in his own abilities and will generally refuse to be assisted. He's generally boisterous and he's practically vibrating with anxiety and energy all the time (sleeping isn't his strong suit, though). He has little to no regard for his own safety, and often lashes out at others if they catch him when he's vulnerable. He's been alone for a while and he's confused and angry and uncomfortable in his own skin. He hasn't really decided what he does or doesn't like yet, and he's struggling to figure out what he wants to do with himself. He is physically pretty competent, and he's done a decent job of keeping himself alive.
Appearance: (Extended) He's about 4'11, and he has a little bit of muscle on him. Not enough to be super noticeable, but enough to show that he has been taking care of himself for some time. He has a lot of scars on his body that he hides with his clothing.
Background: He was traveling with his parents for a while, but they ended up being infected, so he had to separate from them. He's practiced with a bow and arrow since he was little, so he's pretty good with one, which has definitely helped him survive. He's been traveling alone for a long time now with his companions being very few and far between.
Outfits: He pretty much just wears what he has on in the picture, but he'll wear whatever he can find
Hobbies/talents: He's skilled with a bow and arrow
Weaknesses: Refuses help most of the time, A n x i e t y go brrrrr, No regard for his own safety, Phobia of needles
Gear/weapons: Bow and arrows, pocket knife
Open to shipping?: Sure
Other: He's uh,,, not always great at interacting with people, but he'll try his best, Can and will work himself constantly until he just passes out honestly, He likes moving all the time because sitting still stresses him out)
(God, I love him already)
(Someone please stop him lmaooo he's like "danger?? Yeah we running in 🙌✌")
(He refuses to be called Lukas btw, so he likely will not even tell you guys his actual name lol)
(Hold hands hold hands 👀👀👀)
(I'm probably gonna pop him on the porch with a dislocated knee or something lmao)
(Luka needs someone close to his age [other than his family] to talk to so he’ll probably find him)
(Okay! I will also eventually add another character but idk who)
Tohru was doing his best to keep Mori upright while he walked, but the boy really didn't need to be standing at all.
"Here, let's get you sitting back down, and I'll get you some medicine then."
(I might add exposition on the Rose parents-)
