"Starving… Literally…" Matrix hacks a cough, doubling over with the force. He muscles tense and you could see the ribs through them.
"Starving… Literally…" Matrix hacks a cough, doubling over with the force. He muscles tense and you could see the ribs through them.
“Alright, come on,” Corbin said, walking with Matrix to the front door, which he unlocked and nudged open. He kicked it shut behind them and brought Matrix into the guest bedroom, carefully setting him down. “Anything to eat in particular? I just got groceries, so I should have most things..”
"Just whatever you can…" Matrix shivers then looks down at the trail of blood across the floor of the house, "Sorry about that…" He turns his leg and hip to look at the wound
“It’s fine, don’t worry about it,” Corbin said. “What can you drink? Water?” He asked, not being completely sure. He didn’t know much about demon’s, and Matrix seemed to be more sensitive than the others.
Matrix shakes his head, "Anything but caffeine… and Soda… The carbonation explodes when going down." He wheezes, tapping the molten mass
Corbin nodded his head in understanding. “I’ll get you something to eat and drink, and I’ll bring some things to help with your injuries,” he said. He left the room, Orion staying sitting next to the bed. He went into the kitchen, searching through the fridge before taking out two bottles of water, and a bit of chicken from the night before.
Matrix didnt lay down. His back slumps with lethargy. He ribs and spine could be seen sharply in the light. He reaches up a still bandaged hand and gingerly touches his swollen eye. He gasps with pain and claps the hand to it, gritting his teeth. His knees curl up to his chest.
A few minutes later, Corbin walked back into the room. He was carrying the warm food, water bottles, and a first aid kit. “Alright, here, just try to eat,” he said, holding out the things to Matrix.
Matrix dove for the food. His leg gave way and he falls to one knee. He didnt care though. He had already stripped most of the meat from the chicken.
“Jesus, Matrix, be careful with your leg,” Corbin said as he opened her medical kit. “Do you need more food? You’re eating that pretty fast.”
Matrix doesnt respond but naws on the now cleaned chicken bone. He yanks at it like a feral animal
“Matrix, come on. Drink some of your water while I get more food,” Corbin said, setting the two bottles down next to Matrix. He left the room to get more food, his leg beginning to ache a bit more.
Matrix tosses the chicken back to the plate and rips off the cap to the first water bottle with his fangs, almost downing the entire thing
Corbin brought back a few more random things of food, setting the plates next to Matrix. He went back to the medical kit, taking out pain pills, bandages, and gauze.
Matrix had finished both water bottles and starts on the plate closer to him. Blood had started to pool around the gash on his left shin
Corbin eased himself into a sit on the floor, looking at Matrix’s leg. He reached up for disinfectant, pouring a bit onto a slip of gauze. “This is going to sting a bit,” he warned, pressing the gauze to the gash on Matrix’s calf.
Matrix inhales, tensing slightly. He bit down on the food to keep from yelping. It was probably worse than usual due to his condition.
Corbin grabbed another piece of gauze, using it to wipe the blood away from Matrix’s skin. After a moment, he set the pieces fo gauze aside before pressing new gauze to the wound.
Matrix hisses with the pain but shakes his head. He didnt want Corban to think he was complaining. He reaches for the last plate, making a neat pile beside him of the empty ones
Corbin picked up the bandages, switching out the gauze before wrapping the bandages around the wound, keeping the gauze in place. He makes a few layers, though he knew that he would have to change them out later.
Matrix finishes the last plate of food and leans forward over his leg, 'Blood… Sorry for that…" He runs his fingers against the pool of blood
“It’s fine, I can clean it up later,” Corbin said. He looked at Matrix’s face, frowning at the bruise around his eye. He then looked at Matrix’s shaved down horns and frowned heavily. “If I had known that this was what the man intended to do with you, I wouldn’t have sold you.”
Matrix scoffs, "But how much better has your life been without me?" He fingers the multi-swollen eyes
“I already told you. It’s been calm and quiet, but uninteresting,” Corbin said. He screwed open the bottle of pills before dumping two out into the palm of his hand. “Take these.”
"What are they?" He holds out his hands for the pills. He curls his injured leg under him slightly, wincing in pain. He tries to stand but falls against the bed
