Farron nodded and tried to contain his smile at how focused Pollux was after everything he'd been through, "Gotcha." He placed his hands over the wounds and pressed down as hard as he dared.

(I have to go. Bye!)
(bye!)
"Ow, ow." Mara felt cold as she laid on the floor of an unknown place. She went to rub her head but her arms wouldn't move. "What the, where am I?" It was dark and she couldn't see a thing. Riven knew they could save him so he wasn't worried or at least trying not to worry. I have no idea, they just swept in and took her. But it was the same guy that tried to take her before. (Happy Thanksgiving!)
"Riven, how you doing?" Pollux asked as he continued working, "And what do you mean, 'the same guy'? Did you almost lose her before?"
When they attacked our village, yes, Nox explained, Ugh… I do wish Aurelius would hurry up that ritual… I know he has no control, but this is all bad…
(Happy Thanksgiving! Idk how long I'll be here, but my family isn't here yet.)
"Bad is a good word to describe it…" Farron muttered, shaking his head.
Aurelius quietly finished the ritual. An hour at most had passed since he started it; he was lucky it finished that quickly with the current state of emergency. His form glistened, making it look as if he was about to fade away entirely, but then he appeared complete again. He fell forwards into the fire, which was now only embers. The embers scattered over everything in front of him, including the books. As soon as he realized what was happening, he brushed them off before any damage could be done. He was slowly hit with the dark aura that surrounded everyone else. He turned to face Nox, nose bleeding, and still slightly out of it.
"N-Nox, what's wrong?"
They took Mara…
“We need to find her, and soon. She could be dead for all we know…” Farron said, rubbing at his face with his free hand.
"They wouldn't take her if they wanted her dead, would they?" Aurelius asked.
His eyes wandered to Farron, then to Pollux and Riven, who was injured. His expression grew more grim.
“They could get information from her and then kill her. We don’t know what they want to do but it’s possible.” Farron looked over at Aurelius before back to Riven.
"Maybe… I don't know. It seems like a lot, but we have to be rational about this. We should rescue her, but I'm not sure what the best way of going about it is…"
Nox grumbled. Don't do anything stupid, my child…
“We can’t just leave her there! They could be torturing her for all we know!”
Calm yourself, Farron… Ysethen narrowed his eyes at the back of his riders head.
Still your heart, love… I did not mean we should leave her, only proceed with utmost caution. Hostage situations are set up to end poorly for everyone involved.
"Anyway, I should probably go ahead and share what I know, right?" Aurelius said, running a hand through his hair, "You know, in case anything happens to me…"
Farron sighed and nodded, “Nothing’s going to happen to you… but that would be wise if you did.”
Jade nodded, "Yeah that would be best, but nothing else is going to happen."
(Ahahah little do they know…)
"So, I don't think I can really draw many comparisons yet, but I can tell you this: there were some insurgents within this village that helped perpetrate the attack. It was sort of a crime that they were able to do because of opportunity. All of their own traitors were younger. Between our age and lower thirties, I believe. I can write the rest down, if you'd like. It's a lot of seemingly meaningless stuff for now, but once we learn more about what went down in our village, maybe we can piece it together."
So what you're saying is that this information on its own is useless? Nox asked.
"Not entirely, but mostly," Aurelius admitted.
“Great, that’s just fantastic.” Farron muttered and was poked in the back by his dragon, “Oi!”
Calm. Down.
"Write it down, we can figure the rest out as we go. Nothing is completely useless," Quincy responded. She had grabbed a barren stone, "Not even this."
"Right. I'll take notes real quick. I suspect we need to move on…" Aurelius pulled a notebook from his bag and started writing in black ink.
"We can't move on until Riven can," Pollux called, "He's in a good bit of pain."
I'll be fine, I heal pretty fast. Riven started to stand even if it was only about an hour ago he was already feeling better. We need to leave.Since Mara isn't here right now, Oliver can ride with me. "I'm not so sure that's a good idea." Oliver walked over with his backpack. "He looks good enough to walk and run, it not with someone on his back."
I don’t mind giving you a lift again, Nox said, It’s better that you rest, Riven.
“Do you need me to do anything else for you before we go?” Pollux asked, going to stand in front of Riven.
No I'll be fine. Riven's feathers flared up and he was ready to go. I can still feel her emotions. She's scared. Oliver climbed up on Nox and made sure he was in a position where he won't fall off. "Sorry Nox, we'll have to work on you later."
(family vacation and again i keep missing everything, for fuck's sake why do i miss everything?)
(I’m sorry…)
That’s more than alright, dear. I didn’t expect everything to be resolved right away. This is more important at the moment.
Nox made sure Oliver was on well. Aurelius climbed up on her back clumsily, and she turned her head just enough to see him from the corner of her eye.
You alright? That ritual was a bit much… a little more than normal…
“It’s always harder with people I didn’t know in life,” Aurelius reassured her, “I’m okay.”
"Where's Valkyrie? She should've been back by now." Zander paces back and forth in front of Mara. His bad habit of chewing on his nails came out when he things didn't go as planned. "You should stop pacing, it's annoying." Mara mumbled as she watched him closely. Zander has always hated Mara, and being with her made him hate her more. Mara's comment made Zander stomp her way and lift his hand. He had no regard for anyone but himself. Although he really wanted to hit her, he chose not to let her get to him.
