(Not too much? The only major thing really was that Aurelius is about to try to speak to some of the people who died, and he’s asking around for objects related to such people. But that’s still happening.)

(ah, ok) Telara looked to Aurelius "Uh…" she took out a small knife and held it out to Aurelius "M-my dad was a Quartermaster, he c-could help."
“Perfect,” Aurelius said, “Hang onto that for another minute, would you? I’ll let you know when I need it.”
She nodded and put it back in its sheath and went back to petting Onyx. She gave a glance to Lucky "I'm Telara… Nice to meet you"
"Wait, I also have a book of my fathers." Oliver pulled out a book his dad had written in. "He may also be able to help with Nox, although I'm sure I can do that as well." He opened it to see all the creatures his father found, discovered and wrote about. Mara and Riven stood to the side and watched. "I didn't know Aurelius could speak to the dead." Riven nudged Mara's side. Don't get so down on yourself, we all have special talents. Sighing she sat in the grass and took a rest. "Yeah I thought my memory and knowledge could help, but Oliver is more skilled in that field."
"Great. I think we have your village covered, then. I'll just need to set up, and I can get started with the ritual."
Aurelius cleared a spot of leaves and created a small, smoldering fire.
"Create the circle of objects around the flame. Just your village first… Pollux, I'll take what you have too, just in case."
Oliver was careful setting the book near fire, it was the last thing of his dad that he had, and he wasn't about to ruin it. "Done." He backed away a bit and sat down watching it carefully. Mara hoped on Riven's back a tad annoyed with just everything. "Me and Riven are going for a walk, we'll be back later."
Pollux placed his book of cures close to the fire, too, but just far enough that it wouldn't ignite.
Aurelius looked over to Mara. "Stay close, and be careful," he warned, "I'll be done soon."
"Hey, are you summoning ghosts? Like ones we'll be able to see?" Pollux asked.
"We're meeting… sort of on a plane in the middle. You might see a faint glow in front of me. I might look like I'm about to disappear. There's evidence of spirits, but you won't be able to see their full manifestation, no."
"We will be." Riven and Mara left the group and took a walk through the forest. The birds were singing and you could hear the sound of water running, it was peaceful and she liked it. Are you okay? Riven was a bit worried about his rider. "Yeah, just, I'm useless to the group and now all the sudden three more people have joined, it's just a little much." She laid in the grass and listened to nature around her. Oliver sat and watched the fire, it was beautiful and he couldn't get enough of it. "So how long does this usually take?"
"It could be anywhere from ten minutes to a few hours, depending on how… cooperative everyone involved is," Aurelius replied. He went into his bag for a loaf of bread he had bought at the market a few days prior. He broke off half and went to feed it to the fire.
(I won't be back until this evening. I have a class, then I get to go home for break (but that also means I have to drive for 2 hours…). I'm kind of writing up a pantheon of gods for this world, if anyone is interested in seeing it. I don't have much done yet, aside from the Four Gods of Death, but I'll probably work on it some later.)

(uh, did you see this post?)
(Oof I thought I “quoted” that one dies cause of embarrassment)
(it's ok, it happens to the best of us)
(Lol I honestly thought I clicked that one)
(I’m back finally…)
(Hey bec!!)
(The others should be able to hear what Aurelius is saying, but they don't know who he's talking to, nor can they hear them.)
Aurelius watched the bread burn in the small flame. He crossed his legs and closed his eyes.
"Vosskevma, Spirit Shepherd… I haven't much to offer at the moment, but I pray you'll hear me out…"
An echoing voice resounded in his head. My child, You have several objects around you… You don't wish to talk to so many people with such a small offering and minimal ritual, do you?
"Milady, I don't have a choice. People are dying, and I need answers. Surely you've noticed a greater influx of dead lately, including children."
Alas, I have.
"Then you understand that I need to talk to them. This unnecessary death is making more work for you, and placing such a burden on the living. I know you, of all the Gods of Death, care deeply for the living as well."
Hm… On the one hand, you gave a pathetic offering, but it's essentially all you have… I should be able to bring these souls here to talk to you. Let's see what items you've brought me… Ah, yes… the connections could be stronger, but they're there.
"You'll bring them here, then?"
Quincy watched the ritual in interest. She assumed that the bargain had worked, at least she hoped so. Quincy went back to Jade and grabbed some materials to work on something.
Oliver watch but got bored quickly, "Call me of you reach my dad." He walked over to Nox and smiled. "Shall we take a look?" He started to walk around her and made mental notes of everything he saw.
Aurelius was entirely unaware of anything going on around him, aside from his interaction with the goddess and the specters that appeared before him. There were three figures: two men and a woman, whom Aurelius guessed were the fathers of their new, young companions, and the chief medic from the village.
“That… that worked?”
From the outside, Aurelius’ figure began to shimmer and fade a little.
“Alright, then who are you? I take it you two are the fathers of Oliver and Telara? And you know Pollux? Perhaps trained him?”
The woman’s form suddenly became a lot more clear when she began to speak. So they all lived? Thank the gods…
“Yes, but I’m here to ask some questions. You were all there during the attack. You all died there. What can you tell me about it? My friends and I wish to figure out who’s doing it. We’re from another village that suffered a similar fate, and we want to make sure no one ever has to have that happen again.”
Pollux, while he was intrigued by the ritual, knew he had other things to do. He walked slowly to the edge of the trees and began to search through the plant life to see if there was anything of medicinal value.
(While Mara is out in the forest by herself is it okay if it was now that she was captured?)
(That could work)
