Mara saw one that caught her eye. It had a clear handle with some gold designs on it, the blade was straight at the handle part and at the end curved a bit. "This one's pretty." She pointed to it. "What do you think Aurelius?"
Mara saw one that caught her eye. It had a clear handle with some gold designs on it, the blade was straight at the handle part and at the end curved a bit. "This one's pretty." She pointed to it. "What do you think Aurelius?"
Aurelius didn't say anything at first. He just smiled a little.
"Looks fine to me," he said.
Mara clapped her hands together and looked at Lydia. "I like this one." She wanted to hold it and try it out. Aurelius being here helped a lot, not just for his opinion, but just so she wasn't alone. "Thank you for coming with me." Her eyes wandered up to Aurelius, a smile on her face.
"Yeah, no problem," Aurelius said casually. He looked up at the sign above the daggers and read the price, then dug into his bag for the money and handed it to Lydia.
"I promise I'll pay you back." Riven could do some heavy lifting jobs and do it quickly as well, that would be a good job for them. I'll go looking around later today. Lydia took out the dagger and handed it to Mara. It was light, and easy to hold. She spun it around in her hand a few times. "It's easy to use and it fits well in my hand."
"Sure, whenever you get the chance," Aurelius replied, watching Mara twirl the dagger, "I'm trying to think of the other preparations we need to make… I'm drawing a blank."
"Maybe stock up on some food?" Mara saw Riven sitting outside calmly waiting for her. "Thank you Lydia for the dagger." Mara walked outside and climbed onto Riven's back. Are you done? Mara nodded. For now they needed to find a job.
"Well, I've started on that," Aurelius said, holding up his bag of provisions he had bought while Mara had been looking at jewelry, "I guess we're done for now. We can talk later. Meet me at dinner?"
"Um, yeah sure." Did everybody meet for dinner? "Yeah dinner, I'll be there." She took one more look at Aurelius, before going to find a job. Do you think- "No Riven."
"Yeah, meet me in front of the library, and I can cook something for you. I have food at my house, and I take it you haven't stocked up yet. And if anyone else wants to come, they're welcome to," Aurelius said, looking at Quincy.
Quincy nodded as she smiled, "Sounds like a plan."
(idk what to do)
(We may time skip to dinner and they can all meet?)
(I'm good with that.)
(Ooft I missed a lot, also Camie was wondering if you guys wanted to join her Dystopian atomic war rp? It needs a few more guy characters but you guys don’t have to join if you don’t want to…)
(That's okay, we're doing a time skip to dinner that night and everyone can go there. I'll check the RP out too, if there's still room.)
(Kk)
That evening, Aurelius was waiting out by the library for Mara. Nox was right beside him, laying her head on his feet.
"I'm here." She smiled but was breathless l. "Sorry Um a bit late, you know work." They found a job that works well both of their talents, and it's not to bad. "So, what's for dinner?"
Quincy walked out of the library stretching. Jade following her right behind. She grinned, "Free food time?"
"Oh, you're already working? That's great!" Aurelius replied, "I've got lots of vegetables and some leftover broth from what I made last night, so I'll probably just make a stew of some sort. That'll go a little farther if more people decide to join us."
He waved to Quincy as she walked up.
Mara was lazily laying on Riven and followed behind Aurelius. "I'm tired now," Working was a lot harder then she thought, especially when she's never worked a day in her life.
Quincy waved back and laughed at Mara's comment. She was grinning, "Well, work is tiring. You better get used to it."
Aurelius led Mara and Quincy down the street, and they walked for a bit before reaching his home- a somewhat small gray brick house with vines creeping up on a trellis on the front wall. He went to the door and unlocked it, then invited them inside.
"If only my village made me work, then I would be used to it," Riven did look tired at all, which surprised Mara. "Food will help me a lot," Especially since she hasn't she hadn't eaten a all day.
