Mara was running back when the sun disappeared and she heard a shrieking noise. Many dragons stormed the sky above. "No, no!" They began to land and set the place on fire, ice, explosions everything you could imagine. "Riven!" Mara wasn't sure if he would even hear her with all this noise. Zander landed and hoped off Blue, and smiled at all the destruction. "Welcom to hell everyone!" He wandered around looking for Valkyrie.

(Hey! You can jump on in where Aurelius and Quincy are.)
Aurelius distinctly heard an explosion outside.
"Well, I'll be damned," he muttered, "We have to move out!"
He was visibly shaking. His home was towards the center of the village. There wasn't any time left to slip past unnoticed, he was afraid.

Meanwhile, Valkyrie stepped outside and bared the arm with the brand on it. She frowned at the sight of fire and violence, but of course it was for the best, wasn't it? Valhalla came up next to her.
You're not having second thoughts, now are you?
"No. I just wish there was another way."
She grabbed her axe from the weapons rack by the door and mounted her dragon, then flew ahead to join the fray and hide behind the offending fighters.

Quincy grabbed Aurelius' hand, "I know this seems bad, but we can use this as a way out. I hate the fact it's happened now, but we have to go."

"That's the plan," Aurelius replied, slinging his bag over his shoulder, "Gods… Valkyrie never made it back. And Mara? Do you think they're together?"
He suddenly became really worried.

Quincy released the hand and moved to get on Jade, "Most likely. I'm not sure."

"I think I want to try to find them on the way out," Aurelius said, "I know it sounds like a bad idea, but… um…" He stepped out and got on Nox's back. She spread her wings.
You are not! I'd very much like to leave in one piece!

Jade let smoke out of her nostrils, And I would want that as well.

Quincy looked around, "If we spot them we'll help them."

"R-Riven!" There was no way she could sneak around now. To many of them have seen her. "Zander, I think I found that girl!" A guy with long brown hair yelled and Mara turned around to see Zander with a smile on his face walking towards her. "Zander?" She took a step back but there was that other guy behind her. "Marahasi, it's nice to see you again." Zander grabbed her arm and pulled her closer to him. "I've been looking everywhere for you, I need you." Mara was frozen in place, she had trouble breathing. Aurelius. Riven nudged Aurelius's side, looking off into the middle of town. Mara is scared.

during the chaos Arioch had rushed back to his house and now Zuriel was breathing blue fire to scorch the attacking riders.

"Okay. Fair enough," Aurelius said. Nox began to take off, but that's when Riven alerted him that Mara needed help. Nox started by pulling away from the center of town. He could see buildings burning near and far. People running into the streets because their dragons weren't there in time to rescue them. The library and Hall of Elders crumbling.
Never in his life had he seen anything so mortifying.
"Riven! Help me out!" he called, "I can't see her!"

Riven ran off to the middle of town see Mara trapped between two men. Mara! in the back of her head Mara heard Riven. "Riven!" She looked around and her eye met his. Zander pulled her away closer to his dragon Blue. Riven felt everything she was feeling so it was hard to rush in, but he did and kicked Zander to the ground. Quickly before he got up, Mars jumped on Riven's back and he took off in the direction Aurelius was heading.

Jade took off and soared high before diving towards where Mara was. Quincy was screeching as her dragon went into a nose dive, "NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE!"

Suddenly Jade pulled up and they were soaring along the city skyline alongside Riven and Nox.

Zuriel took off "Zuriel what are you doing?" I'm saving us… she looked down at their house there's no point, we'll die if we stay here… Arioch sighed and noticed Nox flying to the center of town "follow them, i think they found something."

"Me and Riven can take the ground, but we are going to need you guys to take sky coverage, you can see what's coming before we can." Mara knew Zander wouldn't stop till he had her. She pulled out her sword ready for anything that came her way.

Aurelius suddenly changed direction when he caught a glimpse of a sky-blue dragon.
"Valkyrie!" he screamed, urging Nox into the midst of the battle, "NO! You'll die!"
He drew closer and closer until he could see the brand on her arm. Aurelius couldn't confront her. He wanted out, but he was definitely in the enemy's sights.
Valkyrie caught a glimpse of him. Her eyes widened as if to say, I'm sorry.

Quincy drew her bronze iron sword and stood atop of Jade. Jade flew slightly higher, "We just got to get out of here, and we're in the clear."

Zander flew up next to Valkyrie, "Kill everyone else here!" He shouted down below. "You and me will be taking on our escapees." He had his sights set on Riven and Mara. "What an interesting Dragon." Zander questioned why she wasn't flying. "You ready partner?"

Aurelius had started to try escaping. Valkyrie had to put on a show to at least convince Zander that she was trying to kill him.
"Get out while you can. Nox is fast. I'll pretend you outflew me," she said to where only he could hear her.
Aurelius whipped around. He was livid. He had never felt an anger so deep and powerful.
"I did so much for you. I know I ruined the life you had- and not even intentionally- but you… you repay this place that was happy to give you a home by destroying it?"
"Aurelius, they're dangerous. Dragons kill people! Don't you ever think we might be right to hunt them down?"
"No! I don't! By that logic, people kill people too! Let's get rid of people! Gods above, Val! Have you lost your mind?"
She started at him blankly. "I'm sorry you don't understand. I was going to at least let you live…"
"Well, thanks for nothing! You're destroying my home! My whole goddamned town! Everyone I grew up with! It's not proportional to the loss you endured. You lost one person. You're helping burn down a whole village."
And with that, Aurelius unsheathed his sword and started with a charge that was all brute force and no aim. He caught the edge of her red bow and pulled it free of her hair. A bit of dragon's fire from the nearby fighting set it ablaze as it fluttered to the ground one hundred feet below.
"Nox saw this in a dream, you know. We thought you were going to die. And I suppose, in a way, you did."
He slashed again, but Valkyrie held up her halberd to block and had Valhalla fly forwards a little to push him back. Aurelius was left on the defensive as she swung her weapon. He was only able to block the worst of the damage; the blade of the halberd cut into his sword arm, nearly causing him to drop the weapon. He could feel Nox try to back away, but he told her to stay in this. The small black dragon no longer cared to listen to her friend's irrational requests. She took off, and Valkyrie, both angered and hurt by his attack on her, was in hot pursuit.

Farron flew up and tried to find Aurelius and Nox, only to find Valkyrie on his tail, “Valkyrie!” He called out, hoping to distract the female.
