Levi wrapped his arms around Eerie, slowly, ever so slowly. His skin was cool to the touch, soft and smooth. If Levi were to speak his mind, he'd say he was jealous of Eerie's smooth skin. Jealous of the fact that he didn't have any marks of old pain stained up and down his body. He breathed shallowly, taking in all the sensation around him.
Eerie wrapped his arms around Levi completely. His soft arms were prickling happily with the rough skin. It felt so good on his unmarked skin. He pulled Levi deeper in the hug, resting his head more comfortably on Levi’s head.
(Shoot! Sorry. I saw the post and forgot to respond before I clicked off)
After a few minutes, Levi gently disentangled himself from Eerie. Although this hug was wonderful, he really wanted to try and do a spa day. The sudden lack of arms around him was disappointing, but he could soldier through it. The spa day was more important. It was some strange childhood dream of relaxation and gentleness that he finally got to live out.
(That’s alright.)
Eerie chewed on his lip and wrapped his arms around his chest around himself. Without Levi hugging him, he felt small and defenseless. Not to mention cold.
“D-do you wanna go in now?” His first word was stuttered thanks to the slight chatter of his teeth.
(Thanks)
Levi noticed Eerie's teeth chattering. That couldn't be good. Was he cold? He carefully slid an arm over Eerie's shoulders, just in case, and opened the door to the sauna, enjoying the steamy puff of air that blew into his face. The whole room was incredibly warm, so Levi steeped in it for a few minutes, soaking in the herb-scented air.
(Sorry! My internet cut out! Hope you’re still here!)
Eerie leaned into Levi and stepped with him into the sauna. It was an old-fashioned wood one, but the wood had silvery tiles supporting them. The wood was bright and shiny, the walls were a calming shade of blue. Here and there were buckets of water, encased in the wall. It was the cold water to stop from a user from overheating.
(Oof, left to chill w/ my family. I'm back now tho!)
Levi sat down on a bench, looking around the room with interest. So this was a sauna. The steam everywhere was a little stuffy, but it also felt nice. Kind of reminded him of his campaigns in the rainforest, except without all the plants and enemy soldiers. It was nice. "Thank you for taking me here."
(Welcome back! I wanted to remind you to what a sauna was. They’re like a room with benches ‘n stuff. And in the middle is like a steam releasor. There aren’t any tubs, apart from the ones of cold water to cool the spa-ers down.)
(Oh, those! Ok, lemme reword my post. I'll message when I'm done so you can see the changes.)
(Yeah! Sorry I wasn’t more specific! Take your time.)
(K, post had been updated. Don't worry, it was my fault.)
(^.^)
Eerie sat down closer to the steam producer, and turned it up a few more notches. He was a few yards away from Levi. Eerie didn’t want to be that far away. He just wanted to rush over and collapse into Levi’s waiting, warm arms. He didn’t push this thought away, instead he sat back and smiled over.
“It’s no problem. Thanks for agreeing to come.”
"I'll do whatever you want." The statement was fiercely objective, spoken in the same tone a child uses while answering easy math problems. Like it was so obvious Levi didn't even consider it significant. He relaxed backward into the seat, letting the room warm him from the outside in. This whole experience would be better with Eerie in his arms, but that wasn't his choice to make.
Eerie warmed up, then stood up. He walked over to Levi and sat down closer to him, smiling in his nervousness. The area with Levi in it was just somehow so much warmer, than as close as possible to the steam-maker. He leaned close to Levi, loving the firmness in the voice he used to speak with. It just appealed to him, somehow.
Levi began the slow process of tucking Eerie into his side without looking like he was trying to cuddle. Surprisingly hard when you're pressed up against somebody, but he did a decent job of it. At least, he hoped he did. Randomly, he thought about Eerie touching his scars. "Would you like me to tell you about my scars?"
Eerie tucked into Levi the moment the latter allowed him to. He glanced over at his chest, tracing the scars with a finger.
“Yeah. Tell me the story about this one.” He traced a long gash near his breast amd collarbone. His fingers, hands and stomach tingled in the closeness.
Levi covered Eerie's hand with his own, trying to remember which one that was. It was a knife wound, he could tell just by looking, so it had to be from a battle. Most enemies only used knives in close combat, and he had only had to fight in close combat a few times. He had four upper chest wounds, all from separate battles, but two of them were bullet wounds. "It's a knife wound. Soldier knocked me to the ground and tried to get my heart. I dodged, kicked 'em down, got away. Still got slashed though. Took me a while to get treated, so it scarred. I was at…Castletown, I think."
Eerie shifted so his chest was pressed to Levi’s shoulder and one of his legs were stretched over Levi’s. This was unintentional, mainly because he was focused on Levi’s chest wounds. He went to the second gash, keeping the bullet wound scars and the one on his back for last.
“This one?”
It was a shoulder wound, less of a gash than a short bumpy line. There were a few thinner lines crossing it from where Levi had scratched at the scar while it was healing, causing smaller cuts in his flesh. "From a couple years ago. Got captured by the enemy, taken to a prison camp, and tortured. They shoved a hot poker into my shoulder. Itched really bad while it was healing. Tutenburg."
Eerie’s mind mocked the slight pain, but he couldn’t imagine it any more without wincing. He moved his hand down to one of the bullet wounds. One would say ‘the lesser’ of the pair. He shifted closer to Levi a little.
“This one…?”
The smaller gunshot wound was right under the hot poker scar. It was a fairly standard wound, in fact, he had about 3 more of the exact size sprinkled over him. One on his left thigh and two on his right hip. This one was special though. It wasn't from a war. "Rebel separatist agent got me from a distance during a public speech. Went through my shoulder, exit wound's on my back. Had to wear a brace for months."
Eerie nodded slowly and traced his finger lower to the other wound. It was of a bigger size, most definitely. He let his hand linger there, warmed by Levi’s. He didn’t ask ‘this one’ again. He just felt it with his gentle, soft fingers.
Levi didn't wait for Eerie to ask the question, he just delved into his memory. That was his first major failure as a leader. The enemy army's general had used armor piercing rounds without him knowing. Half the legion was killed before someone of a higher rank stepped in for Levi. "Right after the Penel City disaster. I lost a lot of men. Father said I need to feel what they did. Lined me up against a wall and shot me. Made sure not to hit anything vital. Bandaged it myself. It made me stronger."
Eerie trailed his hand up again, rather reluctantly, he noticed, and rested his hand on Levi’s neck, squeezing his hand.
“What about the one on your back?” That one was where he got more curiosity than anything from. He wanted to run his fingers along that scar, too, but he wanted to continue holding Levi’s hand.
