Liam gasped dramatically, "I can't go faster otherwise we'll get pulled over. And I don't exactly want that to happen now, do I?"
Liam gasped dramatically, "I can't go faster otherwise we'll get pulled over. And I don't exactly want that to happen now, do I?"
“No, I suppose not,” Kasey murmured, still smiling a little. “How much longer?”
"Just a little bit longer, don't worry that pretty little head of yours." Liam seemed to be having too much fun with this.
“I’m not worried. Just excited,” Kasey said with a smile as she watched Liam driving.
"Good, you should be," He bit his lip, "I hope you like it. Like, I reeally hope you like it."
“Well, now you’re making me nervous,” Kasey half-joked with a soft laugh.
"I'm sorry, that wasn't what I wanted to do… I'm just excited." Liam smiled sheepishly.
“You’re fine, Liam. I was just joking,” Kasey assured him, reaching over to pat his leg. “I’m excited to see what you have for me.”
"Good, yeah that's good, I'm excited too, obviously since I just told you that two seconds ago, yeah…" Liam bit his lip, scratching the back of his neck.
He looked nervous. Why did he seem so nervous? Kasey was sure that she would love whatever he had planned; there was no reason for him to be nervous.
She smiled at him and gave his leg a gentle squeeze. Even if he wouldn’t tell her what he had planned, she was sure it would be good.
Liam calmed down just slightly, taking a deep breath to calm his nerves. They pulled into the parking lot of the gardens, the place of their first date.
Kasey practically lit up at the sight of the gardens. They held good memories for her, a couple of her favorites. She turned to Liam with a grin once she saw where they were.
“You brought me to the gardens,” she said quietly.
Liam smiled softly down at his lap before looking to Kasey, "Yeah, come on, I wanna show you something."
“I’m guessing you’re not going to tell me until we get there?” Kasey joked with a soft chuckle as she unbuckled herself and opened the door. “I’m excited to see what you’ve planned.”
Liam rubbed a the back of his neck and smiled sheepishly, "I hope you like it." He got out the car, and offered his hand for Kasey.
“I’m sure I will,” Kasey assured him softly as she took his hand. “Lead the way.”
Liam gave her hand a squeeze, leading them inside the gardens. There were a few other couples and people out, but none of them paid any attention to the two of them. Liam led them towards the bridge that crossed over to the island he took Kasey to all those weeks ago.
Kasey’s eyes stayed on Liam. He was so nervous and so excited. She had a guess about what was happening, but… no. That couldn’t be it… Right?
Liam found the spot in the bushes that the two had to crawl through and gestured to it, "Ladies first."
Kasey laughed softly before crouching down to crawl through. She tried not to get her clothes caught on anything, not wanting to ruin her outfit before Liam did whatever it was he had planned.
Since the last time they'd visited, well, since Kasey had visited, there had been an outdoor stage area set up in the middle. Tonight, though, there had been fairly lights put up around the pillars, roses slung in between the lights. There was a table set up in the middle, a few different desserts and wine set up. It almost seemed like something out of a movie.
“Holy— Liam, did you… did you do all of this?” Kasey whispered as she looked around the park, slowly turning around to face her boyfriend.
Liam shrugged and grinned, "A magician never reveals his secrets."
“This is beautiful,” Kasey said softly, making her way over to stand by his side. “…and you’re a journalist, but that’s not the point.”
Liam pulled Kasey into his chest, smiling down at her, "I take it you like it, then?"
