“I’d beg to differ,” Kasey murmured, a smidge shyer from the complements. “I don't think you understand how handsome you really are.”
“I’d beg to differ,” Kasey murmured, a smidge shyer from the complements. “I don't think you understand how handsome you really are.”
"Maybe not, but on the other hand I don't think you understand how beautiful you really are." He countered, smile growing.
“Well… No, maybe I don’t, but you’re… very attractive, love,” Kasey mumbled, blush darkening slowly.
He chuckled lightly, kissing Kasey's cheek, "Thank you, babe, I'm glad you think so."
Kasey hummed, smiling over at him. “Should we pack this up and go home now? Or was there another surprise you had?”
"Sadly this was the last surprise. And I paid a guy to come clean up, just gotta let him know we're done but feel free to take any of the food, wouldn't want it to go to waste." He shrugged.
“Then we’re bringing this cheesecake home,” Kasey declared with a quiet chuckled, standing from the table.
"Aight then baby." He stood, too, finding the box he brought the cheesecake in and gently moving it.
“Can I help with anything?” Kasey asked as she watched him.
"No, I've got it." He picked up the cake, making sure what was left was easy to clean up, "Let's go."
“When we get home,” Kasey started softly as they began walking toward the exit, “can we watch a movie and cuddle?”
“Of course darling,” Liam smiled softly at her, “Anything you want and it’ll be done.”
Kasey sucked through the small space to get to the other side, then waited for Liam to come through. “Disney or Marvel?”
Liam slowly maneuvered through the gap, trying not to damage the cake, "It's your night, Kasey, you pick."
“Are you sure I can’t help with anything?” Kasey asked, standing by his side when he came through the space. “And I want you to pick. I can pick the movie, but you pick the genre.”
"I'm sure, Kasey and okay well… how about Disney? We usually watch Marvel so." He shrugged, holding the cake with one hand and taking her hand in the other.
Kasey gave his hand a gentle squeeze. “Okay. How about… The Fox and the Hound?”
"Sounds good, I haven't seen that one for a while." Liam led them back to the car, placing the cake on the back seat when they arrived.
“Maybe I should hold that in my lap?” Kasey suggested, giving the cake a worried look. “That way it won’t slide around and get smooshed on any turns or stops.”
"Ah yeah, that would probably be a better idea." Liam reached backwards and grabbed the cake, handing it to Kasey.
Kasey took the cake and carefully held it in her lap. “Tonight was really amazing, Liam… Thank you,” she murmured softly, glancing over at him.
Liam smiled over at her, "You're welcome. You deserve it."
“I’ll have to plan something for you sometime. You deserve a day like this, too,” Kasey declared softly, her cheeks pink from his comment.
His smile grew a fraction, "I don't deserve it as much as you do, though. With all of this super hero stuff going on you deserve a night to just relax."
“Hey, you’re busy, too. You write about everything that’s been going on. I still think you deserve a night like this, too,” Kasey said, smiling over at him.
