Kasey reached over and swatted at Liam’s leg. “That’s not what I meant and you know it. Not knowing where we’re going is what’s so bad.”

“Aww, come on Kasey, live life with a little mystery once and a while.” Liam grinned, sending her a wink.

“Mystery tends to get me in trouble, if you haven’t noticed,” Kasey half-joked with a soft chuckle.

"True, but at least this mystery won't get you in trouble… well, I hope it won't." Liam reached over with his spare hand and took hers, giving it a squeeze.

Kasey smiled when he took her hand, giving it a light squeeze back. “Let’s hope not. I don’t really want to have to be Kinesie on our date…”

"Same… I just want you to have one normal, relaxing evening." He kissed the back of her hand, pulling into the parking lot of a posh restaurant.

Kasey glanced at the building when Liam pulled into the parking lot. She blinked, surprised, and turned back to him.

“Liam… Wow,” she breathed, looking at it again. “This is… incredibly fancy. I’ve never been somewhere like this before.”

Liam grinned, happy with her reaction, "I wanted to treat you, you deserve it babe."

“I should have worn a dress. Or at least something a little fancier,” Kasey laughed quietly, a littler nervous about her appearance, now. What if people gave her weird looks because she wasn’t dressed up enough? She hated having eyes on her…

“Hey,” Liam kissed her cheek softly, “You look beautiful, and I’ll punch anyone who says otherwise.”

Kasey smiled over at him. Always the encourager, wasn’t he?

“Thanks, Liam. I appreciate it,” she said softly.

"No need to thank me, come on." He climbed out the car, walking over to her side and opening the door for her.

Kasey climbed out of the car after him, then made her way to his side. She slipped her hand in his as they made their way up to the doors.

“I’m guessing you have a reservation?” she asked, glancing up at him.

Liam nodded, holding open the door for her before following her inside, "Sure do."

He walked up to the woman standing by the entrance, giving her a polite greeting before asking for their reservation. She grabbed a few menus before leading them to their table.

Kasey looked around as they were led to their table. It was very nice inside, definitely a fancy restaurant. When they sat down, she thanked the waitress before looking at the menu.

Liam picked up his own menu, scanning the items, "Don't worry about prices, I've got everything covered."

Kasey’s cheeks burned. How could he afford this? She’d never thought to even be able to…

“Are you sure? I could always help pay,” she offered, looking up at him.

"I'm sure, I treat you tonight, I'm paying for everything." He insisted. Even if she tried to help pay he wouldn't let her, not tonight.

Kasey loosed a soft sigh, nodding slowly. “Okay. All right… Then I suppose I should look for what I want,” she mused quietly.

"Probably a good idea precious." He replied, looking back down at his own menu.

Precious. That was a new one. And it was definitely one she liked.

Kasey smiled down at the menu in her hands, so glad that she had met this man. Her eyes drifted over the paper, but she was barely even looking at it. Her thoughts kept drifting back to him.

Liam, on the other hand, was focused on the food. Not that he wasn't thinking about Kasey, a part of him always was, but mainly he was focused on the food since he was pretty hungry. After a few moments, a waitress came over with a friendly smile, "Hello there! Can I take an order for drinks? Food? Or both?"

Kasey looked up at the waitress and smiled. “I’ll just have a water, thank you. Liam, are you ready to order?”

Liam chewed on his lower lip for a moment, "Uh, I'll have a diet coke, thanks. You wanna order food baby or wait a little longer?"

“I still need a minute,” Kasey murmured, looking back down at the menu. She really shouldn’t be this distracted by her man…
