Aron picked Eclipse up when Errol was done, looking around for Nikolas. "Lieze, Ryker, look for Nikolas. Errol and I will head back to camp." he ordered, and started walking. Errol followed Aron.
Aron picked Eclipse up when Errol was done, looking around for Nikolas. "Lieze, Ryker, look for Nikolas. Errol and I will head back to camp." he ordered, and started walking. Errol followed Aron.
Eclipse was limp, and surprisingly light as the guard carried him. Who would've thought a Kevran would help the currently helpless Tesh Prince?
They carried him back to their camp, and Aron put Eclipse in one of the spare cots. "Errol, finish healing him. We won't wake him, but we'll keep an eye on him so that when he does wake up, we'll be ready."
Eclipse still made no reaction, his mind gone completely blank as he slept off the injury and trauma of the last two days.
(timeskip to when he wakes up?)
After a while, Lieze and Ryker returned, shaking their heads. They hadn't found Nikolas. Aron stood guard at Eclipse's tent, waiting for him to awaken.
Yeah, he'll be out overnight at least though…))
It was early the next morning when Eclipse came to. His head hurt, and everything was still sore, but nothing like the day before. He opened his eyes slowly, tensing when he saw the tent around him, surprised to realize he was lying on a cot. "What….?" he whispered, confused.
Errol had been watching him, and got up. "Water?" He asked in a soft voice. He was missing his left hand, and it ended in a stub just above where his wrist should have been.
(I'm here for good now, sorry about the wait)
Eclipse's eyes flicked to him, his nerves not fading as he recognized the other, Nik's guards? he thought, grateful it'd been them, and not Seren's men. "Please.." he said softly, pulling himself into a sitting position, noting that his injuries had been healed, he checked his feet, those too.
(it's totally fine, dwb)
Errol nodded, and handed a glass of water to Eclipse, giving a small, faint smile. "How you feeling?" he asked quietly, eyes studying the prince of Tesh.
Eclipse took it and drank deeply, sitting crosslegged on the cot. "Like shit" he said flatly. "But also very glad it was you who found me and not those men.." he said softly, mentally cursing himself for not being able to escape with Nik.
"Well, Aron found you, not me." Errol replied. "He also carried you. I don't have the ability to do much but heal." he held up his left hand as evidence. "I uhm…where's Nik?" he finally asked. Errol looked like he was probably in his mid to upper twenties. "We could only find you…"
Eclipse sighed, "I don't know.." he said softly, "We were trying to escape but the men caught up with us… I couldn't go fast enough to get us away" he sighed, "I was the only one to escape.. and.. and all I know is that he's not dead.. hurt.. but not dead."
Errol nodded, taking in the information. "Damn. Okay. So we have…no royals from Kevra, and only you from Tesh." he shook his head a little. "This…is not great." he ran his hand through his hair. "Who captured you? Do you know?"
"Some rat named Seren…" he said softly, "From what I remember, he used to be King Crowe's personal guard, but he got maimed when Nik lost control of his other side.." he sighed, "He wants to use Nik as a weapon, take over both kingdoms, starting with eliminating the Kings, and the heirs."
Errol frowned. "Seren was…Seren was a good man." he said slowly, frowning a little. "He was the king's lover, too, for a few years. Then he disappeared. I would assume after what happened with Nik." he shook his head slightly. "Damn. We have to get Nik out of there, then."
"Sooner rather than later.." said Eclipse softly, "He can't escape on his own… he can't walk.."
Errol blinked, eyebrows drawing together. "What do you mean? He's had problems with that left leg for about a year now, but he should be able to walk, if limping."
"They tore it open again.." he said softly, "They burned me, and hurt him." his fists clenched at the still fresh memory.
Errol inhaled, and let it out again in a quick breath. "Oh." he said faintly. "I fixed…I fixed all of your wounds, but…he doesn't respond to healing magic very well. Something about the curse, I think." he touched the stub of his left hand, shaking his head a little.
Eclipse nodded, cursing quietly to himself, "Thank you for healing me, at least.." he said softly, noticing his left hand again, but deciding not to ask.
Errol stood up, the sleeve of his shirt hiding the stub as he did. "I'll go get Aron. He's in charge." he said. He left the tent, and Aron came in a few minutes later, sitting down on the chair and looking at Eclipse.
"So." he said after a long moment. "Nik's with Seren. Errol filled me in." he dragged a hand through his hair. "Do you think you could show us back to the camp?"
Eclipse watched as the other came in, hoping he wouldn't be mad. "Possibly.." he said softly, "It depends… I was pretty out of it when I ran.." he sighed, "I could probably scout for it though, and lead you back then.."
(i gtg to bed soon. Good night!)
Aron nodded. "Right." he sighed softly. "This is shitty, you know that? We finally start negotiating peace, and then this shit happens." he shook his head.
Eclipse nodded, "This whole thing is messed up on many levels." he agreed, "I mean, soulmates with the Kevran prince…. I never would've expected that to happen.." he sighed, "I shouldn't have left him… we could both be safe.."
Aron shook his head. "No, because now we have you." he replied, folding his hands together and looking at Eclipse. "You can help us know where to start looking, and if necessary…you can take over both countries."
