@ElderGod-Icefire
Nik flinched a little at the approach. "I-I…okay." he replied softly, biting his lip. "I'm sorry…"
Nik flinched a little at the approach. "I-I…okay." he replied softly, biting his lip. "I'm sorry…"
Eclipse shook his head, approaching slowly, allowing himself to drop to his knees by the other. "He couldnt hurt me… because I'm your soulmate…" he said softly, "and dont apologize, it's not your fault."
Nik raked a hand through his hair. "Yeah, but…but what if someday he figures out a way past that and he…and he…" He took a shaky breath.
"He literally cannot get near me." Said Eclipse softly pressing against him in the best possible semblance of a hug. "The bond stopped him when he did try to attack me."
Nik leaned against him, taking a deep breath. "Oh. Okay." He whispered, closing his eyes. He was shaking a little. "I…I thought he would kill you too a-and…"
Eclipse leaned against him lightly, wishing he wasnt tied up, "I know… but he didn't…" he said softly. "He didn't."
Nik closed his eyes, snuggling up to Eclipse as best he could. "I know. But I…I…" He shook his head a little, biting his lip.
Eclipse sighed, "Its okay Nik… we'll figure it out…"
Nik shook his head a little. "How?" he whispered. "Seren…I…" he glanced at his leg. "I can't walk, and you…you're hurt and it's my fault, and everything's…everything's falling apart and i don't know how to fix it…"
"You shouldn't have to know how to fix it…" said Eclipse softly… "We do that together." he hummed, "Besides, if you get me out of these ropes, I should be able to carry you."
Nik bit his lip slightly. "Okay. Turn…turn around." he said softly. He scooched away from Eclipse a little.
Eclipse nodded, doing so, moving so his bound wrists were visible, and also the pale skin on his back.
(Are we gonna let them escape?)
Nik started picking at the knots, working to untie them.
(I was thinking they make it a little ways, then get recaptured?)
(Cool!)
Eclipse let him do his work, hoping they'd actually make it this time.
(alright!)
Nik swallowed, and kept working on untying the knots. His hands were trembling a little, and his face was pale. After a few minutes, the ropes fell away, and he bit his lip. "Done."
Eclipse moved to rub his wrists, and stretch his shoulders, which were sore from the position they'd been in all night. "Thank you" he said, turning around to hug the other gently.
Nik leaned against him, putting his arms around Eclipse and burying his head in the other's shoulder. "You're welcome." He said quietly. He held onto Eclipse, closing his eyes.
Eclipse held him as tightly as possible without hurting him, "We should go." he said softly, "I just need to pick the lock.."
Nik nodded a little, eyes still closed. "Okay." He let go of Eclipse, opening his eyes and taking a breath. "Are you sure you can carry me?" He asked softly, eyes scanning Eclipse carefully.
Eclipse nodded, "Positive, but it'll be risky cause I'll have to shift.." he said softly, "But once we're out, we can run for the high hills."
Nik nodded a little. "Alright." He replied, looking up at Eclipse quietly. "Thank you." He shifted, sighing softly.
Eclipse nodded, getting to his feet, wincing as he put his full weight on them, Going over to the lock, he frowned, summoning an inkling of black and silver aura, using it to work the lock.
Nik watched him carefully, biting his lip a little. He tugged on the ragged, torn hem of his shirt, and then tore off a large part of it, binding the damaged area of his left leg tightly.
Eventually, the lock popped open, leaving Eclipse with the barest hint of a smile. He came back over to Nik, "You ready?" he asked, watching him.
