Nik nodded, finishing up the knot on the shirt piece. "Yeah." he replied softly, letting out a breath and looking up at Eclipse.
Nik nodded, finishing up the knot on the shirt piece. "Yeah." he replied softly, letting out a breath and looking up at Eclipse.
Eclipse nodded, shifting to wolf form, crouching low o the other could get on, wincing at the weight on his back paws, the burns becoming more painful by the second.
Nik got on carefully, unable to stop himself from running his hands through Eclipse's fur. "Thank you." he said quietly, hanging on carefully.
Eclipse nodded, unable to help the purr lie rumble that echoed through him at the sensation of the other's hand in his fur, instantly helping him relax as he nosed open the cage door.
Nik closed his eyes for a moment, then opened them again, crouching low on Eclipse's back. He bit his lip a little.
Eclipse moved slowly, nosing himself along the edge of the tent, remembering that the back o it was against the trees, when he reached the back, he nosed at the tied laps that were there, before reaching up to gnaw at them with his fangs.
Nik sat up, and gently, pushed Eclipse's nose out of the way, untying it so that Eclipse didn't have to. "There." he said softly, sitting back down and burying his hands in Eclipse's fur.
Eclipse nodded, unable to speak in wolf form, before padding out and into the trees. As soon as they were out of sight he picked up the pace, slowly speeding up until he was at a dead run.
Nik hung on carefully, leaning forward so he wouldn't fall off of Eclipse's back. He closed his eyes, hoping everything would be okay.
Eclipse made sure he wouldn't unbalance the other as he went, going as fast as he could.
There were shouts from the camp as they were discovered to be missing. Nik stiffened a little, eyes widening.
Eclipse picked up the pace, hoping to ever deity he knew they'd get away.
Nik held onto Eclipse, taking a deep breath. He tangled the shadows around them to help hide them from their pursuers eyes, but he didn't know how well it would work.
Eclipse kept going, going as fast as he dared as the shouts fanned out. He hoped to escape, though the chances were unlikely.
Nik closed his eyes again, and shook his head a little. "I-I don't know if we can get away…" he said quietly.
"We're going to try" said Eclipse softly, determined to try his hardest.
"I know." Nik replied quietly, holding onto Eclipse carefully. He kept twisting the shadows, but the voices were coming closer.
Eclipse tensed, "Hang on!" he said, before breaking into a light run.
Nik hung on desperately, eyes closed. The voices of pursuers drew closer and closer to them as they ran.
Eclipse kept to his pace, praying that they could get away.
Nik held on, eyes closed. Please. Please let this work. Please.
The voices followed then into the trees as Eclipse kept going, but finally they fell silent, and he slowed, paws aching as he kept going.
(I gtg to bed now. Good night!)
Nik let out a shaky breath, looking around. "I…I think we lost them?" he said slowly, softly.
(NIGHT!!!)
Eclipse kept going, not daring to slow any further, "I hope so…" he said softly, refusing to let on to how much it hurt to walk on his back paws, and stay silent.
Nik's leg hurt, but he knew it couldn't hurt as badly as Eclipse's must. He took a deep breath.
