"Why what?" Nik asked softly, shaking with soft, quiet sobs. His leg hurt like it was burning, like it was still being sliced open.
"Why what?" Nik asked softly, shaking with soft, quiet sobs. His leg hurt like it was burning, like it was still being sliced open.
"Just… just everything" he said softly, hesitantly resting his head on the other's shoulder. "Like your leg… And Seren… and my dad.." he tensed at that one.
Nik swallowed. "i don't know." he whispered. "I-I don't know." he glanced at his leg and felt like he was going to throw up. He rested his forehead on Eclipse's shoulder. "I-I…I don't think I'll be able to walk again." he whispered quietly.
Eclipse hummed sadly at that, "Given by the looks of it, I wouldn't be surprised.." he said honestly, "I mean… you had problems before… but.." he sighed, not wanting to hurt his feelings, but at the same time wondering if he'd be able to walk properly again, with how badly his feet had been burned.
"But what?" Nik asked quietly. He held onto Eclipse like a frightened child, needing someone to hold onto and wishing his father was there to hug him and tell him it was going to be alright. He wanted…he wanted to wake up in his tent in the morning, wrapped in chains and alive and whole.
Eclipse shook his head sadly, "I don't know Nik…" he said softly, "I-I can't find anything good in this anymore…." he sighed, seeming to collapse into himself.
Nik held onto him still, still crying softly. "I don't understand how Seren…I didn't mean to." he whispered. "I didn't mean to hurt him…o-or anyone…"
"I know you didn't…" said Eclipse softly trying to comfort him in any way possible. "I know…"
Nik held onto him still. "'m sorry about your dad." he said softly. "And…and everything…" This is all my fault.. he swallowed, biting his lip.
"Don't be sorry about my father…" said Eclipse softly, "It's my fault he's dead…" he sighed, "And seriously? None of this is your fault.)
Nik took a deep breath, letting it out shakily. "It is my fault though…" he replied quietly. "If I hadn't…if I…"
"It's not your fault." said Eclipse firmly. "You couldn't have helped it."
Nik tugged him closer, closing his eyes with a soft sigh. "Okay. I just…I…"
"I know." he said softly, "But wishing won't help…. preserverance and hope will…"
"But we can't get away." Nik whispered. "Because I can't walk at all anymore, and…and…"
Eclipse sighed, "We will get out. I don't know how yet but we will." he said softly. "We have to, somehow."
Nik nodded a little, letting out a soft, shaky breath. "Okay." he said quietly, closing his eyes.
Eclipse nodded, "I wish I could help you.." he said softly, "but I can't even help myself."
"'s okay…'s not your fault." Nik mumbled, arms still wrapped around Eclipse. The mark on his shoulder was shimmering from being so close to Eclipse.
The mark on Eclipse's hand was shimmering too,and he wanted nothing more than to hug the other at that moment, but the stupid ropes kept him from doing so. "I know… but still…." he said softly.
(When should they have their next encounter with Seren?)
Nik sighed, and leaned against the bars of the cell again. "I'm tired. But I…if I sleep." he was exhausted, dark circles beneath his eyes from not having slept in more than a day.
(uhm…idk tbh)
Eclipse sighed, "I really wish I could help…" he said softly, feeling pretty exhausted from not sleeping. He had been awake for the same amount of time, but with everything he wasn't feeling it as bad, though he did want to sleep.
Nik shrugged slightly. "I know…" he mumbled. He knew, too, that Seren wanted Nik to sleep. Wanted him to let the monster out.
Eclipse pushed his fear of what would happen if Nik couldn't hold on to the back of his mind, hoping that maybe if he did transform he might be able to communicate with him somehow, though that was probably impossible.
