Uriah saw Luna against the wall and smiled a little. "If you'll excuse me, I must go talk to someone." He left his conversation and walked up to Luna. "You look amazing." He looked at her dress then to her eyes. "Sorry there's so many people, I know you don't like crowds." He leaned against the wall next to her.
Luna glanced down as she reached up and fiddled with her hood. She felt her cheeks start heating up, she couldn't exactly tell why though, "Y-you don't look half bad yourself. A-as for the crowd, i-it's fine. I-I just wasn't expecting this many people to be here."
Cyrus searched the crowd for Sparrow. He hadn't expected this big of a turnout, nor had he ever been to this kind of event with this many people. Actually, it was kind of exciting. He was wearing a suit for the first time he could remember: a charcoal gray blazer and slacks with a lighter gray shirt underneath, and a pale green tie that brought out his eyes. His dark brown curls were still a little messy, but somehow, he made it work. Cyrus was in a good mood today. Perhaps it was because of the festivities, perhaps it was because he was feeling a bit less anxious than normal. Maybe a bit of both. No better time to ask her to dance, he figured. He might as well act while he had a bit of calmness and confidence within him.
Meanwhile, Vida was weaving in and out of the crowd, occasionally asking people to dance with her. It was hard for them to say no. She was adorable and dressed nicely for the occasion, with a neat ponytail tied back by a light blue ribbon that matched her dress. She wore a sky-blue and white tea length dress that flared at the bottom. Vida also had white tights and black flats. Somehow, despite being all fancy, this outfit was perfect for dancing.
"Honestly, I wasn't expecting this many people either." Uriah was sure most of the people wouldn't come since they don't know him. "This songs almost over, would you want to dance when the next one comes on?" He was sure there were other guys who'd want to dance with her, but he wanted the first one. Esmea went around and danced with many other people and had a blast. But Aaron was still her favorite.
"S-sure," Luna smiled up at him. She had a slight twinkle in her eye, she wasn't actually sure if he was going to ask to dance. She also figured this would probably be her only dance of the night. Who would want to dance with a stuttering assassin who refused to show her face in public? Besides Uriah of course.
"I've seen a few guys look your way, but I'm not about to let them take the first dance." Uriah laughed as he spun her around before pulling her close to him. "You can just ignore everyone here. Just think of it as if we were back in that room and I was still teaching you to dance." He didn't want her to feel nervous, because that wouldn't help anything.
Cyrus sighed and leaned back up against one of the walls when he couldn't find Sparrow. She was bound to appear eventually, right? Vida skipped towards him.
"Dance with me?" she asked, a bright silly grin on her face.
Cyrus smiled. "Why, of course!"
He held out his hands for her to take, helped her do a little spin, and just laughed. It was almost like having a little sister.
Luna had a faint smile on her red dusted face. Guys actually noticed her? She had felt the stares, but chalked them up to her cloaked head. Though now she thought her nervousness wasn't just from all the staring eyes. Something else was giving her the same effect as the mob of people in the room. She gently looked back up at him, "U-um yeah. I-I can do that."
"So, what birthday present did you get for me." Uriah smiled jokingly. He didn't expect anyone to get him anything. This party was more than enough, just having good food and all his friends around was enough. He spun her again.
Luna let him spin her around as she froze slightly. She quickly realized he was joking and gave him a light smile, "I-I didn't know I had to get you something. W-was my presence not enough?"
"No, your presence is the perfect present." He knew she didn't like things like this, yet she came anyway. It was nice. The song ended and he let go. "Thank you for the dance." He bowed with a smile on his face. "Well dancing so much made me thirsty."
Luna curtsied back with a smile. That wasn't as bad as she thought, she paused before speaking softly, "I-It was no problem. C-can I come with you?"
"Yeah sure." He took her hand and led her back to the drink table. Once there he let go and got himself a cup of water. "Is it weird to have a bad feeling? Like I'm so happy right now, I feel that something bad is going to come."
(I've still been around but honestly idk what to do…)
(I could throw Katya in for you Bec?)
Luna shook her head as she got a cup of water for herself, “N-no. I-I completely understand that feeling. W-what do you think might happen? O-or is it just an overshadowing n-negativity?”
(Sure. I have to go to class in a few minutes though. Might be kind of busy today… Has Stark been around at all though? We were gonna have some fluff probably…)
(No… Also I have school soon as well.)
"I don't know. I just have this bad feeling in my gut." He took another drink and looked around. Everyone looked so happy, he hoped and wished it could stay like this.
Luna looked at all the assassins and children smiling and dancing happily. This was how life was supposed to be, but this wasn't their reality, "I-I hope it doesn't come any time soon at least."
