Luna eyebrows furrowed slightly. She understood what they went through, but at the same time she didn't. Black Claw could take their memories from before the guild now, and that wasn't around when Luna first was taken. She knew Uriah came from some stuck up rich family, and Panther at one point wanted him dead. But other than that she didn't know much, "S-Something wrong Uriah?"
"Ah, yeah. Don't worry about me." He shouldn't think this way, everyone here accepted him now. But, if it wasn't for him Zhavia wouldn't be dead, and they wouldn't have lost a friend. No, no, don't think this way. It's been a year, no need to hang on to the past. "Anyway, we should be getting back right?" He smiled, although there was a bit of sadness.
"I-I guess yeah," Luna shrugged pushing herself off the wall and pulling the hood up over her head. She fiddled around with the ends of her jacket, and didn't trust his words. He seemed sad, "I-If you tell me why your sad."
"It's just… I wish I could understand what you guys went through, then maybe I wouldn't feel so out of place here." He opened the door for Luna and smiled. It wasn't a big deal, so he does understand why he felt like it was.
"We-Well don't be scared to ask," Luna said with a smile as she walked out, "I-It isn't like we want don't to talk about. W-we just never do."
"Alright." Uriah stopped in the hallway. "What was it like, for you personally?" He wanted to know everything to understand stand them better. "What's Luna's story?"
"M-my story?" Luna laughed slightly. She took a sigh before starting to say, "I-I was six when the guild took me from my parents. I-I had no idea what anyone was saying since I-I didn't know English back then. Z-Z-Zoe," Luna took a deep breath and reached up to wipe away the tears in her eyes, "Z-Zoe approached and offered to help me out. Th-the two of us were inseperable afterwards. Sh-she was like m-my new family. A-And now she's… U-Um yeah. Th-that's my story."
Uriah wiped a tear from her cheek. "If you want, I could be your new family. All I had was my dad. My mom left us when I was young since she was a young mother and didn't want to take care of a baby. So I never had the chance to have siblings." Uriah leaned against the wall. "I mean I'm not saying you need to pretend that I'm your sibling of course. That would be weird." He threw is hands in front of him.
Luna laughed slightly still wiping at her eyes, "Th-that would be weird. B-but thank you Uriah. I-I think I'll take you up on that offer."
"C-cool." Acting weird is not cool, get yourself together Uriah. He smiled and continued to walk down the hall. He was completely composed on the outside, but mentally slapping himself on the inside. He would go to Cy for advice, but he can't even fix his own problems, so there was no way he was going to Cy.
Luna heard the stutter in his voice, but didn't bring it up. She fiddled with her hood, "Y-yeah."
He walked back to the training room in silence. He was eager to get back so there were more people. "Well here we are." He walked in and went straight to Cyrus's side.
Luna nodded and looked around the room. More people were here, and she hadn't been expecting that, "Y-yep."
Cyrus looked over to Uriah. "So… how'd it go?"
He was still watching the kids a bit, but they seemed to mostly be calm and looking after themselves.
"Yeah, it went… well." He couldn't help but feel something. Although he didn't want to say what it was because he wanted it to be real this time, and not because he was lonely. So, he's going to take it slow and see how she feels as well. "She got the hang of it really fast."
"Oh, good," Cyrus said, smiling, "I was thinking…"
He looked around quickly before leaning in to whisper to Uriah, "I want to ask Sparrow to dance. I think there's no better time to make a move than now."
"You should. You've been holding off for to long. She's a good looking girl, also strong and has a great personality, if you don't make a move soon she will be taken." Uriah was just telling the truth. He's grown to know Sparrow quite well and knows all her good points, but also her bad ones. Although she was too good for someone not to look past them. "I'm sure she'll say yes."
Cyrus laughed. "I'm not… but at least if I get rejected, I'll know not to worry about the matter anymore."
He was rubbing the back of his neck; he was clearly getting all flustered and nervous just thinking about it.
"I don't think you'll get rejected." Uriah nudged him with his elbow and winked. Then turned back to see Luna, he smiled at the sight of her, but quickly turned back around so she wouldn't see. "And I mean there are plenty of other girls around." He was sure Cy would only choose Sparrow, but maybe saying that with give him a boost to ask her.
"I'm not… I don't really want to be with anyone else. I could always share a dance with someone else, I'm sure, but I draw the line there," Cyrus explained, "I'm more looking for a life partner than anything else. So maybe I haven't met them yet, but of the people I have met, I'd choose Sparrow any day. She's been there for me since we were little. Nothing's changed in that respect."
Luna caught a glimpse of Uriah's smile. She felt her heart start fluttering again. She had read plenty about what might be happening, but she didn't want to push it. She could be completely wrong about this. Luna took a deep breath and kept an eye on the kids.
"I understand completely. I'm getting older, I want to start my own family. And take care of them better than my dad did with me." Uriah was ready to move on with his life. Her wanted someone he could go home to at night. And someone he could love.
