"Okay…" Cyrus muttered, "So they were probably hiding something from you."
Vida started crying again as she was hit with horrible images and memories. She didn't know how to say what she was thinking.

Nathan nodded and scooted closer to Kat and Vida

Cyrus was a little surprised to have three kids crowded around him at this point, but kind of relieved. He gave Vida another hug when she laid her head on his shoulder.
"It's okay… It's gonna be fine…"
Vida shook her head.

"They had a black kitty!" Nathan said quietly. He couldn't remember the mans name, only the panther symbol in the building they were in.

Cyrus choked.
"Shit…" he muttered, "A panther, maybe?"
Vida nodded, still biting back sobs.

"The man also had a line on his eye." He said

Sparrow cursed and looked at cyrus "Axel." She said. Axel was the male who trained them when they were kids. He would hurt them and put them into a small box if they didnt do as he said.

"Sparrow…" Cyrus managed, "We… what do we do?"
Vida looked at Sparrow. "You kn-know these people?"

"Yeah, they took us from our pare.ts when we were kids. We stayed there for 10 years until we escaped. We found out that they didn't need us anymore." She mumbled "they're known as the Black Claw.we fornednour own guild White Wings." She smiled at them

Nathan looked at Vida with wide eyes "he said to spy in wings too." He said in a not-so-low voice.

Vida shrieked and covered her face.
"They just keep doing this younger and younger, huh?" Cyrus sighed, "The real question is, how do they know about White Wings? Do we have a rat?"

"No I dont think so, I think we need better security. These kids came inside no.problem." she said, trying to hide a smile but failing

Katya had gone quiet. She didn't like those black cat people, well Black Panther apparently. She stayed quiet as she stuck with Vida and Cyrus.

"That doesn't explain how Panther knows about us," he murmured, "I can't help but feel worried. Sparrow, I'm thinking… I think maybe we need to find out what they know about us and use that against them. If they know we exist, what's stopping them from making a move? Nothing, aside from maybe not knowing where we're located. I believe these kids found us on accident, but I know Black Claw has it out for us, and they wouldn't hesitate, if they knew. We need to keep these kids here so they aren't used as pawns by Black Claw again."

"What about it kids? Do you want to stay safe here? You can stay in one of our rooms or have a group room." Sparrow asked the kids

Nathan looked at the other 3 people and shifted uncomfortably

Vida nodded. "Yes, please…"
She laid her head on Cyrus shoulder. He looked at Sparrow, shot her a glance that sort of said, "why me?"

Sparrow just laughed "you look good with kids." She blurted out.

Nathan quietly walked over to Sparrow "can I come with you, I dont want to go with the man." He mumbled

Cyrus turned away and blushed a little bit, and as Nathan walked over to her, he said, "You too."
He covered his mouth. That was a really stupid response.
He shook his head. "I just gotta figure out what's up with Vida. She seems a lot more shaken than the other kids. I think something happened."

"I think Nathan is hiding something too." She mumbled

"Well, I think you can tell a bit about these kids by the types of people they're drawn to. I think Vida… perhaps saw some familiarity in me. She rushed to me without hesitation, without even knowing who I was," Cyrus explained, "Of course we can make guesses, but we can really only tell if they open up."

Sparrow nodded and picked up Nathan

Cyrus just kind of stared at Sparrow for a moment. She was fiercely independent, but somehow also had so much compassion within her, he couldn't help but smile at her as she held Nathan. They were cute.
But then his expression grew a bit more serious. He acted like he was about to say something, but couldn't bring himself to do it.

Nathan wrapped his arms around her neck and put his head in the crook of her neck.

Sparrow smiled and rubbed his back. She walked over to Cyrus. "Dont we have a conjoined room somewhere round here?

"Yeah… It's in the area directly connected to the original bunker. I'll show you there."
Cyrus began to get up, but Vida just wanted to be held, so he let her ride piggyback, and she just kind of slumped her head over on top of one of his shoulders, despair radiating from her whole body. He knew something was seriously wrong.

Katya watched as the other kids nestle up to the adults. She still didn't trust them completely, but she didn't want to get separated from her friends. She was stuck with a choice that she didn't want to make.

Cyrus looked over his shoulder. "It's up to you. We'll make sure you're comfortable and safe, but I understand if you don't trust us."

Katya paused for a moment before walking over to Cyrus. She looked up at him, "I'm only staying cause my friends are."
