Charlotte winced at the color of the hotel. Everything here attempted to be so damn… cheery. It was annoying.

Aster led them upstairs. "It was assumed that we all wanted separate rooms." He led them down a hallway to a selection of six rooms, gathered around each other in a half circle. "Charlotte, your majesty, you will be in the two middle rooms, with us guards on the outside." He said.
Quinn nodded, crossing his arms. "Okay."
Charlotte walked over to her room. "Do you have the key?" She asked quietly.
Aster nodded, and handed her the key. "Please don't try to run away in the middle of the night, I don't want to have to find you." He said. He handed Quinn another key.
Quinn took it. "Thanks." He said, forcing a smirk over his face.
Charlotte scowled as she unlocked her room. "I wasn't going to run away," she muttered, slamming the door behind her.
Aster sighed softly, shaking his head. He looked at Quinn. "You alright?"
Quinn shrugged, and headed into his room.
(Lmao Aster is done with everyone's bullshit)
Charlotte threw her bag violently into a corner, then fell onto the bed, mindlessly opening and closing all the doors and cupboards in her room.
(lol yesss)
Quinn sat down on the bed, staring at the floor in a rather numb way.
Aster sighed, and went into his own room.
Charlotte got up and went to look out the window. Unsurprisingly, there wasn't anything interesting except for the occasional squirrel.
Quinn just sat there.
Aster sighed, and knocked on Charlotte's door.
Charlotte looked back in confusion before slowly going to the door and opening it. "Er… hi."
"You sure you're okay?" Aster asked, glancing at the bandages on her hands. "It's my job to keep you and Quinn safe and healthy."
Charlotte looked briefly down at her hands, then shrugged his concern off. "Perfectly healthy, thanks!"
He raised an eyebrow slightly. "Hmm. Those bandages weren't on your hands when you went in the carriage, and you were acting strangely. Something is going on, Lottie, and I would like to know what. I'm trying to keep both you, and Quinn, safe, which I can't do if you're getting hurt and not telling me how or why."
"I was clenching my fists while I was sleeping, and I accidentally drew blood," Charlotte told him flatly. "I'm perfectly safe."
(lol i almost thought she was going to say something sarcastic about how he's failing at keeping Quinn safe XD)
He nodded. "Alright. I just wanted to make sure." He replied, raking a hand through his blond hair.
Charlotte gave him a sarcastic smile. "I'm fine, run along now. I really think Quinn's the one you should be checking on, anyway. He's a king. I'm a prisoner. Remember your priorities," she smiled again and closed the door with a snap, letting out a sigh of relief.
Aster sighed. "Quinn's injuries aren't anything I can fix." He replied softly, rubbing a hand over his face.
"You've not left yet!" Charlotte called through the door, using her ability to poke him backwards.
He sighed softly. "What do you think I need to do, Charlotte? What's wrong with Quinn is…nothing I can fix." He replied.
Charlotte sighed, leaning against the door. "I don't- I don't know, alright? Just - I don't know. Please leave me alone," she said in a quieter voice. She wasn't entirely sure if she actually wanted to be left alone, but Aster always got annoyed with her. She concluded that it would be best to be left alone. Probably.
Aster sighed. "Alright. If you change your mind, I'm in the room on the other side of Quinn's." He replied, and headed to his room.
Charlotte paced her room, lifting all the furniture so she could have a clear walking area.
Aster went into his room, sitting down on his bed with a sigh.
Quinn picked up a vase and threw it at the wall, listening to the crash expressionlessly.
Charlotte nearly dropped a couch in her head. She immediately moved out of the way and sat against the wall, letting all the furniture fall back down. This is so frustrating.
