"I will kill him," they said softly, their mouth pressing into a firm line. "I will find the Erl King and I'll cut him again and again until his blood stains the grass, then I'll stuff him full with toxic berries, and then I'll find Giana and she'll freeze him, and Ophelia will burn him, and he'll get what he deserves."
Titania could only gape for a moment. It could be hard to remember how powerful Robin really was, despite their youthful facade.

She laughs as she removes another knife from the block and slips it into her bag. “I did.”
“It doesn’t seem like you.” It looks more like Lucy, thick brown locks cascading over her shoulders and down her back.
“I would have kept it,” she says, bounding past me as she crosses the room. “I loved my hair. But it’s better to have it short… Under the circumstances.”

“I don’t know, Taylin. Why does it matter?” I glance between her and the photo. Now Robin’s hair is cut neatly to her chin, forming neat, wiry waves around her face.
The photo doesn't look like her, at least not the her I know, and not the her I want to know. Instead, it was a strange girl I was unfamiliar with the face of, a girl that fit in with the crowd. Robin doesn't. I like that about her; Her diversity. Lucy doesn't have diversity. It's what makes Lucy Lucy and Robin Robin.

All around the campfire was silent tonight. Chris watching the flames with a look unreadable, Roshiel laying with his back turned to them, Taca laying on her back staring at the stars. The girl screamed, the sound barely audible among the battle that raged in what used to the lobby of the school. She cradled the boy's head on her lap, sobbing. A spear had stabbed through his shoulder and the point came out just below his ribs.
Jackie suddenly recognized them. They were siblings, Southies, they both got good grades, they were nice kids. He was much younger than her, from class three. She was the year below Jackie in class nine.
The girl pulled the small body closer, hugging him to her chest. He was alive, but barely. Life hanging on by a thread.

Ethan grinned at his furious roommates. Sure, worst time for a quip, but then again they had chosen to live with Ethan so this was technically their mess too.
