Silver smiled, "I doubt you could find another one as loyal as he is." he said, his hand on Lee's shoulder.
Silver smiled, "I doubt you could find another one as loyal as he is." he said, his hand on Lee's shoulder.
"Not really…." Lee said, voice fading. "And now that I think about it…." He broke into a small, polite yawn. "I might take a nap upstairs. Or just stay here if that's what I want." …I can feel his hand… He tried to ignore it, nonetheless. He's being quite friendly…
Silver watched him for a moment, nodding but staying silent, his hand absentmindedly playing with the fabric of Lee's shirt.
Lee continued to pet Max, barely nodding himself awake. "Huuh? Oh… I'm just getting sleepy talking about naps…" He rubbed Max's ears, and he moaned again. Oh you silly pup…
Silver smiled, watching Lee, the hand on his shoulder absentmindedly wandered to Lee's hair, stroking and messing it up.
Lee glanced over slowly. "Do you need something from me???" He asked, trying his best to keep his straightest, reddest face. I mean, for Pete's sake! He's playing with my hair!!!
Siver smirked, his hand stopping, "Your hair's all floofy from earlier.." he said, as if that explained it.
"Floofy, huh?…." He said with a furrowed brow. "Now how would water make my hair f– erm, floofier?" He asked, glancing at Silver.
"I don't know" said Silver, "Maybe it was always this floofy and I just didn't notice until now." he ran his fingers through the other's hair, petting him in almost the same fashion as petting Max.
Lee chuckled a little. "I'd probably say that, too…" He enjoyed letting Silver run his hand through his soft hair… It was like getting a treatment of relaxation that he deserved. I really do like this… But I'm unsure why…
Silver watched as Lee seemed to relax under his touch, and he half wished the dog would wake up and move.
Lee petted Max some more. He hummed a little, as he was theoretically being petted, too. …I've always wondered why I don't do things like this more often… If Silver wasn't here, I'd still be up town trying to sell my stuff… I mean, not really since I can practically anticipate everything. Well… Almost everything.
Silver watched the dog, stroking Lee's head quietly. "Do you like being petted?" he asked Lee quietly.
"Who??? Me?" Lee murmured. "W– Well, it's hard to say… Considering I've never been p-p-petted before…" His stammering got the best of him and he sighed hopelessly. When will it end?…
Max realized Lee had stopped petting him several times, and he went to the other portion of the couch to sleep by himself.
Silver rolled his eyes when the dog left, slipping around to sit next to Lee, his hand still in the other's hair. "Do you like it now?" he asked,
"Well…. It is a bit awkward to have someone else's hand in your hair unless you're a pet, don't you think?" Lee furrowed his brow a bit. "D-Don't get me wrong, though, it's not like I totally dislike it… But… It's strange… I don't know."
Silver smiled, "Let me know if you want me to stop" he said softly, leaning back in the couch cushions, his hand massaging Lee's head.
Lee glanced at him. "I'm just wondering why you just…. Hm…. Decided to do it…." It does seem odd that he would just… Do that.
Silver thought about it for a moment, "I'm honestly not sure why either" he said quietly.
"That's alright…" He shifted. "But for now, I think I'll go and check on my drying clothes and maybe take a nap, if that's okay with you, of course."
"Sure" said Silver, letting his hand drop. He watched Lee for a moment, before staring up at the cieling, playing with a silvery aura about his fingers.
Lee stood up and headed upstairs to the bathroom where his clothes were hung to dry. Ooh, they’re not even close… I might just have to throw them in the dryer downstairs or something after my nap…
He wandered into his bedroom and closed the curtains to block the searing sun. He climbed into bed in his stocking feet, settling down. I think this nap will help me one way or another…. He was comfortable and finally fell asleep, forgetting completely to shut his bedroom door.
Silver sighed, debating for a moment about following him, but deciding against it. He relaxed back in the couch cushions, unintentionally ending up asleep on the couch.
Lee rolled around in bed, still napping.
Max had woken up, and he glanced around a little bit, whimpering. He crawled along the couch and lied down next to Silver and fell asleep. He was just curled up next to him, but he wasn’t on his lap in any sort of way.
Silver's hand slipped into the dog's fur as he dozed off. Eventually he was curled up on the edge of the couch, sleeping peacefully.
Lee woke up about two hours later, and he was feeling totally refreshed. That was just the kind of nap I needed today…. He stretched and smoothed his hair out before crawling out of bed. I wonder if Silver is napping downstairs too… I better not disturb him, if that’s the case…. He exited into the hallway and entered the bathroom. Lee grabbed his drying clothes from the shower curtain rod and continued down the stairs.
He spotted Silver sleeping with Max, and he lightly smiled. Aw… He caught himself and flushed. Wait — What on earth am I thinking!? He rushed on through to the laundry room down in the basement and began to prepare to dry his clothes the rest of the way.
Silver stirred lightly, curling further into himself as slept.
Lee let the machine do the work, and he glanced at the clock as he came up into the kitchen. “My…. It’s that late already? I need to get dinner started…. But I would hate to wake him up….” He muttered, putting a hand over his red face.
Silver yawned, slowly waking up from his nap. Yawning he checked the time. Well now… I wasn't expecting to fall asleep like that… he thought relaxing back on the couch.
Lee came back into the living room. “Oh — you’re awake…”
Max lifted his head at the sound of his voice.
“I have a question for you…” He said, addressing Silver, “What would you like for dinner?”
