"I'm sure I will eventually…" When I no longer need to make money… And that might be the day I die… Lee made his way into the kitchen and dropped his bowl and spoon off in the sink before coming back into the dining room. "And I'm unsure when you want to go back home…" I don't want to keep him here forever… That's a bit rude…
Silver returned his bowl to the sink as well, "I can get out of your hair now if you want" he said cordially.
"Well I'd hate for you to leave so soon," Lee frowned. "Maybe you can stay for dinner?" It's a stretch, but I don't think he'd mind. Hopefully….
"Love to" said Silver, "Though that's awhile off"
Lee shifted his weight around. "So what do you do for fun? I understand you're a busy man, but there has to be something else you do…"
Silver shrugged, "That's be a little harder to explain" he said, remembering the run he'd taken in the woods the other day.
"It can be anything you do besides work…" Lee leaned against the counter on his elbows. "I play with Max when I have the time…"
The dog came trotting in and sat at Lee's feet, panting happily.
"Like i said, that's a little bit hard to explain in context…" he said again, "To put it this way I spend a fair amount of time in the woods outside of the city.
Lee's brow furrowed. "In the woods?… Well what do you do out there? Just… Relax?"
"More or less" said Silver, Actually I usually hunt, run free, practice my staffsmanship, ect.
"That sounds nice…" Lee went back and put the empty pot back in the sink with the other dishes. "Well, I hope you don't mind, but I have to go out and feed my animals."
"Which sorts do you have?" asked Silver, following him.
(Note that some animals may spook cause they can smell the wolf on him. Those sorts would be horses, cows, sheep and pigs, possibly chickens…… I say possibly cause they're dumb)
Lee stopped for a second. "Oh… Just the usual – Cows, pigs, chickens, sheep… I used to have horses, but they were just too much work with everything else going on."
(Yeah That makes sense)
Silver nodded, following him curiously, ignoring how many of the animals avoided him.
Lee went on outside to one of the two sheds he had. "I usually try to feed them all at once if I can. It saves me a lot of running around and things like that…" He grabbed a yellow bucket and filled it with chicken feed. "But sometimes it doesn't necessarily work out…"
"Need any help?" asked Silver.
Lee hesitated a bit. "I think it would be best if I did things myself… Although it would be nice if you got the animals some fresh water…." I bet they're all suffering in the heat…
He went inside the chicken pen and began flicking the feed around, watching the chickens flock around and peck at their food. What happy little chickens…
Silver looked around and spotted the well in the middle of the farmyard. grabbing the bucket he drew the water and went to the pen Lee was in, filling the trough.
Lee finished spreading the feed around and went back to the shed to get some food for his pigs. "Make sure you give them enough," He called from a pen over, "The heat is really awful today…" And I've already had 4 animals die from heat stroke this season…
Silver nodded, heading back with a second bucket. "Don't worry! I got this"
"It isn't all that hard," Lee said with a smile, putting some food in the pigs' trough. "But things get complicated when they get sick and all that…."
After about half and hour Silver finally had all the troughs filled to the brim. "Think that's good enough?" He asked.
Lee came back after feeding all of his animals, sweat running down his face. "Yeah… That's… Good enough." He said thought long pants, lifting his cap from his head and running a hand through his hair. "Maybe we could use some water about now…" He chuckled, whistling to Max to come.
The dog caught up, panting as well.
Silver laughed, pulling up another bucket, setting it in front of the dog. "Shall we head inside to get ours? Or shall I pull up another bucket and dump it on you to cool you off?"
Lee furrowed his brow, breaking out into a sheepish laugh. "Whatever makes things easier!"
Max sniffed the bucket a little, touching the rim with his nose.
