"Don't apologize" said Silver, "You can't help that your friend is protective of you. Honestly I'm not afraid of him hurting me, It's mostly the other way around."

(….Wut…. I have no idea what he's saying….. My brain only has one cell….)
(Uhmm… he's basically saying he's mire afraid of hurting the dog than of the dog hurting him.)
(Ookay that makes more sense that he's talking about Max.)
Lee nodded. "That's okay… Maybe we'll find a way…" He went on inside to get washed up. I hope this secret isn't necessarily putting himself in danger… Let alone me and Max… He went to the first floor bathroom and washed his hands, soon grabbing a wet cloth to wipe all the ash off his face. "Ahh… Much better," He said softly to himself.
Silver dunked his head under the tap to get it off, sighing in contentment from thw cold water.
(Did he like…. Just follow him into the bathroom????? I dunnoooooo the lack of background makes me confooooosed!!!)
(He slipped into the kitchen… sorry… my phone is gonna die soon and I need my mom to come get me from a youth program.)
(Ah…. My phone, too, is dying.)
Lee came back out, hands and face clean from the ashes he dumped out in a safe area (let's just say he took care of that.) "Hey, Silver? Where'd you put the chicken?"
"On the counter" said Silver, turning off the tap, letting the water run through his hand.
Lee wandered into the kitchen, rubbing his hands together. "Now that I think about it, I don't think I got the coals heated up yet… Silly me…" He muttered.
Silver laughed, "I think we got a bit distracted instead" he said cheerfully.
Lee chuckled, "We sure did… With those ashes all over my face…" He scanned Silver's face for a moment. "I see you got yourself cleaned as well, hmm?"
"Yeah.. Did I miss some?" he asked.
"I don't think so… You got it pretty – oh… Wait, there's some on your cheek. Here, I got it…." Lee ran his hand under some water to get it damp and he used his thumb to gently wipe the rest of it off.
Silver watched him carefully, catching his hand. They were very close, but Silver made no other moves other then to hold Lee's hand.
As Lee removed his hand, he barely brushed Silver's hair. Oh my… How silky… "There you go," He said, grinning brightly. "Much better."
Silver smiled softly, unable to take his quiet eyes off of him.
Lee barely noticed Silver looking at him so intently. Is… Is that really how he feels? Should I just…. Ask??? No… That would be strange…. Nonetheless, he motioned him to come outside. "Now that we have ourselves all fixed up, I figure we should turn on the grill, huh?"
Silver nodded, "Yeah, we should probably get on that."
They went back onto the porch, and Lee went back to the grill. "Here we go…." He crouched down, setting the charcoal on fire to make that smokey scent that went with every grilled meal. "Now we just have to wait a little bit…" He leaned against the wall of the house, folding his arms and crossing his legs.
Silver watched quietly, watching as the sun got lower in the sky. He eventually sat down on the porch step, grateful for the fact that the heat of the day was receeding.
Lee closed his eyes for a second. "Well… The day has gone by quite quickly, I hafta say…"
"At least the heat is going too" said Silver from the porch.
"It was horrendously relentless," Lee complained, rubbing a hand through his hair. "I had trouble keeping myself hydrated when I was up in town, and… Well, you even passed out from it!"
"That's just because I'm more sensitive to heat than other's are." said Silver sheepishly.
