Phoenix let his smirk drop in to a smile, glancing up and over to where the library was. "Good thing." He hummed, picking up his pace so he could go and open the door for her. "We don't need you getting a big head over such a little compliment."
"Oh please," Cicada rolled her eyes. At first she tried to keep up with him, but then decided she wouldn't after all. She had a little smile on, "My head can't get much bigger than it already is."
"Well, it was worth a shot." Phoenix laughed lightly, pulling the heavy door open for her. "Please, ladies first." He insisted, bowing just a bit with a slight smirk.
Cicada laughed and gave him a smirk in return as she curtseyed in return, "Why thank you." She let out a little laugh before she stepped in and turned around waiting for Phoenix to enter after her.
Following her in, he let the door fall closed as he walked away. With a decently loud bang as it shut, Phoenix winced a bit. "I know it's there, but it still gets me every time." He muttered, sipping his coffee once again.
Cicada froze for a moment when the door shut with a bang. She wanted to go for her knife, but knew that was a stupid move. She let out a breath, "It does that every time?"
"Almost every time. It's really obnoxious." Phoenix muttered, coming up to a free table and set his things down. "Pull up a chair, we won't have long." He hummed, sitting down himself.
Cicada sat down across from Phoenix and pulled out her muffin taking a big bite. She took a sip of coffee, "That's, not ideal. When does your first class start?"
"An hour or so from now. I think I'm always thirty minutes behind you." He laughed weakly, pulling his own food from the bag. "That can be obnoxious. Now can't it?"
"It really can be," Cicada responded with a slight laugh. She took another sip of coffee trying to finish it before it got cold, "At least for this semester it is at least."
"Yeah… do you know what time classes end for you?" Phoenix asked with a light smile, pulling out one of his text books and a folder. "We could maybe meet up and just hand around campus if you want."
"I think classes end at 1 for me today," Cicada said after a bit though. She had a smile on as she looked back at him. If he really wanted to work, she wasn't going to interrupt him, "I have fewer classes today somehow. What about you?"
"Uhhm…." Trailing off, he wrote a few things down before glancing up. "Sorry, I think a little after two? Maybe… I'm not sure." Phoenix shrugged a bit before glancing down. "Do you have any breaks in between?"
"Yeah, I get a break around 10," Cicada said after some thought. She hummed a little as she went through the schedule in her head, "My second class starts at 12 and my first class ends at 10."
"My first class ends at around 10:45… would you wanna hang out then?" Phoenix asked her softly, keeping a small smile on his face. "We wouldn't have to. It was just a thought."
"Yeah I would love to," Cicada responded softly smiling back at him. She let out a yawn and shook her head slightly to try and wake herself up. She went back to smiling at him afterward.
"Alright, great." He chirped, letting his own smile pull up on his lips. "Do you wanna try and nap, and I'll wake you up when you have to head to class?" Phoenix asked her, glancing between her and his work.
Cicada let her head rest on the table in her arms. She looked up at him with the same smile, "If your fine with trying to wake me up, just, uh, don't touch me when I'm asleep. If I fall asleep."
"If that's your only request." Phoenix nodded with a soft smile as he went to work. "I'll set an alarm, to wake you up and to remind me." He hummed lowly, pulling his phone out to do just that.
"Okay, thank you," Cicada said shutting her eyes before she yawned. She had a feeling she wouldn't end up falling asleep, but who knew. Besides a quick nap wouldn't make up for a sleepless night entirely.
Zoning out, he set his phone aside to work on the remaining school work. He was tired, but he made himself ignore that fact. He didn't have much to do anyways, it wouldn't kill him. Not yet.
Cicada sat there with her eyes shut. She entered something close to a sleep-like state, but it didn't last long her waking up a moment later. Why was her life so difficult?
"Hey… you alright?" Phoenix asked softly, noting her troubled state. "If you don't want to try and sleep, you don't have to. I was just trying to offer, Cicada." He hummed, pushing his books aside. He would do it later.
Cicada let out a long sigh as she moved her head so it was looking at Phoenix. She cracked one eye open, "I'm never alright. I probably should try to sleep, I've been awake for like 24 hours at least now."
"Alright… just checking." Phoenix whispered, folding his own arms to rest his chin on. "I could try to bore you to sleep. Then maybe the teachers won't be able to."
