Connor closed his eyes, leaning into Jas's nuzzles. His hand slid to Jas's, rubbing his thumb on the back of his hand. "I would love a late-night beach date." He hummed, taking in a deep breath. "How about after dinner we go down to the beach and enjoy each other's company. Suppose they let us on the beach. I know some close when it gets too late. Then again, we could always be illegal and go anyway." He leaned his head back, so it was resting on Jas's collar bone. His voice was soft and showed signs of drowsiness. He brushed it off, wanting to stay awake with Jas and eat. "If you could hear my thoughts right now, they would be fil with thoughts about you." He grinned.
Has chuckled softly against Connor's ear as he laced their hands together. "Are you really willing to do something so scandalous as to trespass on a beach when it's closed, my hero?" He asked sarcastically, his proud smile only growing at the idea. He purred softly, gaze flickering to Connor and breathing a laugh. "How about a nice long nap before we eat and go out, hm? You haven't slept since we left the apartment, sweetheart." He murmured, gently nuzzling Connor's neck. "Then we're in a similar situation, my heart. You happily fill my thoughts every day." He gently tugged Connor back towards their room to get some rest
"I don't know if I can handle such a crime. I mean I might even get arrested," he said dramatically, allowing Jas back into the room. "If you insist on me sleeping I guess I can't resist you and your charm. You don't need to worry about me though I'm really not sleepy…" He yawned rubbing his eyes. "That was a yawn that is from working too hard not from being tired. Don't get the wrong idea. Connor undressed so it was more comfortable to sleep, only leaving his boxers on. He got in the bed and pulled the covers over his shoulder. "I'm just getting in bed because I want to cuddle not because I'm tired." Connor protested.
"mhmm, only because of work and for cuddles. But of course my dearest." He murmured letting go of Connor and undressing as well, leaving his shirt and pants on top of his duffle bag for now. He locked the balcony doors, sad to shut out the beach but he didn't trust their surroundings, especially not when Connor's potential enemy was out there and while they were sleeping. Jas wandered back over to the bed and settled beside Connor, gently tugging him to his chest. "Rest well, sweetheart. I'll wake you up later for dinner alright?" He rythmically combed through Connor's hair, humming softly and occasionally pressing kisses to his brow.
Connor snuggled up close, letting the cold feeling be replaced with warmth. "mmm like I would…fall asleep…" Just like that, he fell into a needed sleep. Jas was right he hasn't rested since they woke up. It was usual for him to not rest after waking up that early, but the whole trip was just exhausting. He would stretch in the middle of his sleep only to wrap around Jas again like a Panda on Bamboo.
"hm, you were saying?" He lightly teased, hugging Connor tight as he fell into an in-between of wake and sleep. He glanced down whenever Connor moved or shifted around, and laughed softly, curling himself around Connor's form and nuzzling close. "I'm right here sweet creature. Always and forever." He promised, tucking the blanket up to Connor's chin.
Connor woke up rubbing his eyes and pushing himself off the bed. His palm was pushing against the bed, this time there was no sun. In fact, it was night and the light of the hotel lit up outside. He laid back down stretching over Jas again. "It's time for dinner," he mumbled, "but I don't want to get up. I want to stay here, but I'm also really hungry." He groaned. "What should I do? What if you carry me to go get food and then carry me to the beach so we can cuddle there. Yeah…that sounds like a great idea." He yawned eyes still closed and ready to go back to sleep.
"what a predicament you're in then, huh?" Has cooed with a laugh as Connor lied back down against him. He chuckled lightly and carefully dragged them both out of bed. "Considering I definitely won't be cooking anything good soon." He stood up, hooking Connor around his waist as he wandered around their room a bit. "As much as I love this, I don't think I'd want to get arrested for public indecency going out with barely any clothes." He pressed a kiss to Connor temple. "Go get dressed sweetheart. I'll carry you around once we both get clothes on, okay?" He murmured, slowly setting Connor down and handing him clothes.
"Oh yeah, I forgot I was half-naked." He took the clothes tiredly. He slipped the loose shorts on, followed by a tripped t-shirt that looked a little bit big. "He searched in his bag for flip-flops and stepped into the before turning back towards Jas. "All set and ready to go. But you should still carry me on your back while we go down to the buffet to get some dinner. It seems only reasonable, you know." Connor argued flopped back on the bed with his legs dangling from the edge.
Jas gave a light chuckle and he pulled on his shirt and pants from where they had been thrown aside from earlier. He pulled on some shoes by the door, glancing over when Connor emerged from the bathroom. A soft laugh bubbled up in his chest as he sat at the edge of the bed. He nodded "completely reasonable. I could also carry you in bridal style but that'd probably limit our mobility, huh?" He leaned down and propped his head up on his elbow as he pressed a kiss to Connor's brow and brushed his cheek with the back of his hand. "Come on, sweetheart." He urged gently
"If you keep stroking my face like that, I don't think I'll ever get out of bed." Connor placed his hand on Jas's, taking it off his cheek. He pecked him on the lips as he stood up. "Alright, I'm up. I'm up." He groaned, opening the door of the hotel room. He held Jas's pointer finger as he tugged him out of the room. He traced his hand along the wall, letting his fingertips feel the design of the hotel. "I hope they have something that I'll like. I'm a very picky eater. What if I don't like it, then I gag it, and then I feel like it's considered rude. I wouldn't want to do that in a public place, you know?"
"and here I thought I was supposed to be the sleepy kitty among the two of us." He teased, gently kissing back and following Connor up out of bed then out of the room. Has smiled as he trailed behind Connor, for the millionth time in the lives that they've been together finding him to be one of the cutest people in the world. "I'm sure they'll have something you'll like, hon. And if they don't, well order takeout of something nearby." He pressed a gentle kiss to Connor's hand, breathing the heavenly scent that waftet from a a buffet style restaurant portion of the hotel
He gasped. "Wait, Suni and Damion are going on their date tomorrow. I wonder how that will go. They should have a day date; there are a lot of places Damion wanted to show Suni. He was excited when I told him about it. He gets like that when he meets new people." Connor took in the smell as well, smiling to himself. "Well, they have something I like if it smells that good." They walked into the room and saw tables and families eating while others were getting food. "It all looks so good. Do they have seafood too? Nice, I guess we came in on a good day. What do you want? We can get your stuff first. I don't mind." He shrugged, walking further into the room. He rubbed his eyes as he was still sleepy and not yet used to the bright lights.
(should we show their side as well like with Nick and Mel?)
"I can't even remember when Suni was half this excited to go out with anyone, date or otherwise." Has laughed softly as he pressed one more kiss to Connor's hand before eletting go to pick up a plate. "You don't have to wait, heart. Go get your food, I'll meet you by that table by the window, okay?" He gently nudged Connor towards the seafood station. "Save some of the shrimp." He winked and headed to find the pasta station, practically drooling as he piled on the chicken and pasta Alfredo
(Yeah, sure, if you want would you be cool with that?)
"Alright, I'll meet you there." He jogged over to the seafood station and took a plate. He looked at all the food excitedly. He picked out what he wanted and licked his lips, and he practically skipped over the table Jas had mentioned. He ordered a drink for himself and waited for Jas to come back before he started eating. He could see the pool pass the eating area and the beach beyond that. The lights on the ground lit up the pathway, so it was fully dark but beautifully lit. "Hotels know how to make something natural look so beautiful." The best part was that Connor could see the stars. Instead of just clouded and a dark sky, there were stars, and it looked so beautiful reflected on the water.
(definitely be down for it! Let's see Suni with Damion!)
Has made a few more stops around the buffet, picking up a plate of salad as well as some standing bread rolls with butter. Satisfied with the meal, and not having enough arms to carry another plate, has carefully walked over to where Connor had settled. He smiled when he saw the view they had directly beside him. "I can see you're more awake now, aren't you, love?" He leaned over and pressed a tender kiss to Connor's hair before settling across from him with his two and half plates of food.
Suni sucked in a sharp breath as he glanced around at the building around him. He was familiar with the upper city but he had never stayed long enough to experience life there. Stuffing his hands into his jacket, he tugged the hood over his pointed ears. Unlike Jas, Suni couldn't hide his ears in his human form so most of the time he kept them flattened against his head, his red hair concealing them well enough when he wanted. He'd do that now if it weren't for his position. His first real date with…well anyone, in years. He refused to hide half of what he was just for another man's comfort. If this Damion Connor had set him up with couldn't be with a kitsune, then Suni wouldn't bother wasting his time in trying to date them, as much as it pained his heart to make that decision, even thinking about going back home early without being givening a chance made him anxiously aware of his ears now poking up from his fluffy red hair
"You can say that. I was just really excited about seafood. What did you get?" Also, let me know if you want anything from my plate; I'll probably get full quickly. I wouldn't want to waste any of it." Connor slowly started to eat when Jas was settled. He was much more paced when in the eyes of other people. His tables manners were perfect outside, but inside he was a very sloppy person, depending on the food. If he ate this inside, then his hands would surely be a mess, but right now, his hand was clean as could be. "This hotel is beautiful, honestly. I can't imagine not sharing this with you."
Damion was leaning against one of the store windows when he spotted Suni. He wasn't sure it was Suni, but something about pulling the hood over his head looking around frantically gave it away. Damion wasn't sure what to say or how to greet him. He just stared for a couple of minutes. His body frame was bigger than expected, even though he didn't go to the gym or work out in the slightest. He was at least 6'3," and he often got stares when he walked into a grocery store or anywhere for that matter. He got used to it, but his personality was the complete opposite, even with his body. Damion didn't want to scare Suni off, but then again, Suni probably has nerves of steel, but even so, he couldn't help but think. He held his phone tight in his hand as he jogged over to Suni and tapped him on the shoulder from behind. "Are you Suni?"
"mostly Italian food, and bread." He replied, laughing slightly when he had realized just how much food he had piled onto each plate. "I think I over did it." Deposited the enormous amount of food, Jas happily dove into the food. He hummed softly on surprise, having never expected hotel food, much less from a buffet to taste so good. Having been to Italy before, Jas had had the pleasure and delight of experiencing authentic Italian cuisine, so when he had his first bite of the dinner, jas was pleasantly surprised when the food tasted so close to what he had tasted in Italy. "It really is. And here you were going alone, leaving me back home." He winked teasingly, taking a bite of the honey bread with a cat-like grin.
Suni had been fidgeting quitely as he tried his best not to work himself into a nervous frenzy. That anxiety quickly turned to adrenaline the moment he felt someone tap at his shoulder. Without a second thought, Suni whipped around and grabbed whoever it was by the wrist, teeth bared, ready for a fight. Thankfully he took a moment to take in the male's features, just long enough to for Suni to recognize Damion from the photo Connor had shown him. He immediately let go, and took a step back, scared that he had startled his potential date. Not so much that he had hurt him though, considering the man in front of him was a giant coated to suni's smaller size. "I-im so sorry, I didn't realize it was you." He breathed, swallowing thickly. "I am, Connor told me about you? You're Damion, right?" He guessed, subconsciously tugging the hood around his head a bit tighter.
"Yeah, Yeah, listen you know why io was going to leave you home. Don't mock me." He shook his head and scoffed with a smile. "Recently I've been craving sea food, so that makes me happy. I have you will me which makes me even more happy, and…" he held out his hand, wanting Jas to take it. "I get to visit my home with you and show you to so many wonderful places. To share that with you means a lot…" Conor put his fork down. "You've been nothing but open and patient with me, since the day I met you. I was blinded by the fact that I hated you, I couldn't see it. So I want to make this the best trip ever, for us both. You get to know more about me and I can know more about you. That makes me very happy." Connor picked his fork up again. "Like the fact that you like Italian food. I didn't know you had a taste for food like that." He didn't want the mood to get too heavy as he tried his best to make a mess while he ate.
Damion looked at his wrist and rubbed it slightly. He stood there for a minute, taking in Suni's presence. He stopped. "No, no, it's okay. I completely get it. I'm used to it since I'm around heroes all day with crazy fast reflexes. Sorry, I'm rambling, but yes, I am Damion, and you are Suni correct unless I just completely walked up to a stranger and tapped their shoulder." Damion tucked his phone into his pocket. "I've heard some things from Connor, but not too much and they were good things. Like how you like to cook. That's basically it. Oh! He also said that your food tastes great. But it's great to put a face to the name…" He trailed off trying to see Suni's face. "Hey, you don't have to hide you know. Unless you want to keep your hood on. If so that's completely fine." he added.
"me? You're perfect little kitty who would never misbehave? How could you even have the thought of leaving me home." He chided teasingly, grinning when he saw Connor's smile. Jas glanced down at Connor's hand, his smile becoming softer as he gave him his hand and gently squeezed. "I can't wait to see everything you have to show me, darling. You have no idea how long I've waited to hear that i make you happy." He pressed a gentle kiss to the back of Connor's hand before going back to the meal. "Like I said back when I let you arrest me, we have to keep an air of mystery in our relationship. Gives us a lot to explore in our long lives together." He chuckled softly and took another one of his breads. "I grew up in Italy a few lives ago. It was a beautiful coastal town that's probably now a wedding tourist trap." He sighed wistfully and peeked up at Connor. "We'll go one day. I'll show you where I used to live one day."
Suni ducked his head guiltily when he saw Damion rub his wrist. He ducked in a breath, great first impression, he silently scolded, glancing up at his name. "Yeah, you have the right person." He chuckled akwardly, rubbing the back of his neck. "Yeah Connor mentioned a few things about you too. From what he said, I don't think I can compare to you though, considering I've heard you're an amazing chef." He offered a tentative smile until he caught Damion's gaze. He felt heat rush to his face and quickly looked away. He chewed on his lip contemplatively before slowly tugging off the hood, ears flicking a bit.
He interlocked their fingers, not wanting the warmth from Jas's hand to disappear. Connor took a sip of his wine, washing the food he was chewing down so he could talk. "Really? The place must have been beautiful if you had been there. I would love to take a trip to Italy." Connor finished half of his plate before leaning back in his chair. "I want more, but I don't think my stomach will take too kindly to me eating so much. Do you want any of this before I throw it out?" Connor rubbed his stomach, holding back the burp that wanted to surface. "Once you finish eating, we can go out to the beach, yeah?" Connor was excited and giddy at the thought of spending some of their night on the beach. He closed his eyes, trying to picture it, and a smile came to his face.
"You shouldn't hide them, you know. They compliment you," he mentioned referring to Suni's ears. Damion could help the small smile growing on his face when he saw Suni's ears. He resisted the urge to touch them or even ask. "I'm sure you're cooking is just as good, if not better, but never less. I cook for the institution, so it's a lot of work, but it pays well, and I get to know how my cooking tastes. Maybe one day, if you're up for it, I could cook for you. How about we go to a cafe and chat for a bit right now. Unless there was somewhere else, you wanted to go? "
Has chuckled lightly, blush rising to his cheeks. "I'm not sure if it was more beautiful because I was born there but it certainly was stunning living there. I promise you we'll take a long trip there." He took a sip of his drink, hugging a sigh and shaking his head. "I don't think I can eat anymore. We'll have to save dessert for a little later." He stroked Connor's hand with his thumb and laughed. "Then let's not waste another moment." He stood with the pile of empty plate in one arm and gently tugged Connor up.
Suni's ears immediately flattened against his head when Damion complimented him. "T-thank you," he stuttered out, laughing softly and shaking his head. "Good? Maybe. Better I highly doubt. But again, thank you for the praise." He nodded as he started down the sidewalk. "I'd love to try your cooking one day if you'll have me over. I've never had the experience of someone personally cooking for me before." He smirked and arched an eyebrow, now feeling ten times more comfortable that he knew he didn't have to hide a part of him from Damion. Maybe those date would go well, and possibly never have to end. "Cafe and chat huh? Is this a normal chat or a interigation kinda chat?"
Connor took his hand, pushing himself off the seat. "I like making you flustered. I can see why you like to make me flustered. Also, you can leave the plate here; they'll take them once we're gone." He took the plates from Jas's hand and set them on the table. "Come on; it's been too long since I've seen an ocean." Connor tugged Jas towards the door that led outside to the beach. "I'm happy there's a beach at the resort; otherwise, we would've had to pay for it. I always have money on me, but you know what I mean. Anyway, so tell me more about your time in Italy. " Connor could see the entrance to the beach as they walked closer to it.
Damion chuckled. "Well then, I'll make sure I'm the first." He looked around before spotting the small cafe he wanted to go to. "Well, it's whatever you want it to be. You can tell me your life story, or you can share the things you want me to know…for now at least. Come on; cafe's this way." He stuck close to Suni, ensuring he didn't lose him in the crowd. "So tell me how come your ears are out. I know Jas can. I've seen him enough times. I'm not complaining. I'm just curious about a lot of things." His voice was soft and light, almost like a feather floating through the air. He walked his hands in his pockets, not sure what to do with them. The more they walked, the closer the cafe became.
"you'll have plenty more chances to do that, dear." He reassured, letting Connor take the plates. He happily followed behind Connor towards the boardwalk that connected the hotel to the stretch of beach and ocean. He took a moment to unbutton the first few buttons on his shirt, letting the cool ocean breeze carress his jet lagged body. He even let his ears show before lacing his hand with Connor's. He smiled softly "it was beautiful, as all of Italy is. I lived by a beach town with my father and mother. I don't think there was a day that's id go without going to the beach to explore. I remember once pap tried to teach how to swim. It didn't go so well but I still liked the beach." He chuckled lightly momentarily turning his attention up to the nearing beaches and water.
Suni couldn't help but laugh "You sound pretty confident we'll see each other again. Not that I'm against that." He tipped his head curiously as he looked Damion over. He didn't seem like the type of guys Suni was used to. He type to only get close in order to mess with you. Bit that didn't mean Suni was ready to tell this man his life story. "I'm a kitsune." He replied simply, ears flicking about as he caught the sounds and smells of the cafe. He kept close to Damion, or at least as close as he thought appropriate for two people who had just met a few moments ago to be. Oddly enough Suni felt comfortable around Damion, as if he were a long lost friend he had known his entire life. "We both are shapeahifters. I have another fox form whole Jas has his cat form. The only real difference between us is out backgrounds when it comes why to we shift. He can also choose to keep his car like features out where as I always have my ears, fox or human."
He let go of Jas's hand, running into the sand. Connor took off his flip-flops before dinging his feet in the sand. "This feels so nice. Even though it's a bit cold it's still lovely to feel." He picked up his shoes. "The water looks amazing. It seems so still at night but in the daytime it's rough. Honestly, I didn't think we could get back here, but I don't regret it. The moon looks amazing. "Come on." He waved Jas over as he travel further into the beach, so his feet would be in the water. "That's cold," he shivered, stepping out of it. "Don't do that I don't recommend it." He chuckled.
"I see, maybe you can tell me what else you can shift into. I'm just a human so I do not have any powers. Although, having powers sounds like fun. I constantly hear stories about what the heroes do with their powers and even so others they've met with powers only one can dream of." He opened the glass door for Suni allowing him in first. "But I'm happy with what I have and my skills. I mean cooking is a power on its own you know. When you care for the food while making it, it will taste that much better. Sorry, I'm rambling, aren't I? I told myself not to do it, but I did anyway." He found a table by the window, so it would not only be warm but there would be a nice view while they talked. "Let's sit over here. I've been here a couple of times, so if you want to know if anything tastes good, just ask alright?"
