Connor shook his head, looking down at his hands as Jas walked out. He was clearly embarrassed, sitting on the bed half-naked. "I-It's not your fault, I should've been more aware." He tried to get the image out of his mind, but couldn't seem to. It was stuck in his brain like a tattoo. He watched Jas wrap around his side. He shivered as his back straightened to a slight arch. "Watch where that tail is going mister." Connor lifted Jas up and leaned back on the bed. "I'm going to go shower kitty." He kissed Jas's nose before standing up and entering the bathroom. This time he properly took a shower and took his sweet time doing so.
Jas' purr only deepened as he wound his way around Connor's side. He glanced up at Connor innocently, as if saying I don't know what you mean. He mewled as he was picked up and gently nudged his muzzle again Connor's face. He meowed in protest as he was set down but reluctantly settled down in a heap of blankets and pillows. He wrapped his tail around himself, covering his muzzle for warmth. He didn't sleep yet, wanting to wait for Connor, so he toyed with a loose strand of blanket
Once he was done showering, Connor came out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist. "You should pick what you're going to wear for tomorrow, so we aren't late. I hate being late. Then I have to rush, and this other stuff comes into play. It's just a lot." He laughed while looking through his drawer for clothes. He felt his hair drip, and he sighed. He went into the bathroom to get another towel and came out drying his hair. "That's weird. We're my-" He found his favorite shirt to wear to bed and smiled. "There it is!"
Jas picked his head up with a wide yawn and uncurled himself from his comfortable spot in the bed. He stretched out gracefully before heading over to his duffle bag and hopping in. He dug through his clothes for a bit, searching for a his most comfortable clothes since that'd be one of their longer, more boring days when going to Florida. He yanked at a loose fitting t-shirt and some comfy pants, setting them on top of the bag to pick up later in the morning. He jumped back up into the bed and tucked his paws beneath this body, converting himself into a little cat loaf as he waited for Connor. He meowed appreciatively as he watched Connor move around the room.
Connor threw on the shirt and underwear and left it at that. He quickly picked out pants and a hoodie to wear tomorrow. "Sorry for the wait let's go to sleep now." He made his way under the covers and turned off the lights. He picked up Jas put him near his side. "I know you're tired. I set an alarm for tomorrow." Connor dug himself under the sheets hugging one of the pillows as he yawned and started to drift off to sleep. "Good night Jas."
Jas meowed softly as he gently nuzzled Connor's cheek. He shimmied his way out from from Connor's hold and shifted back to normal. He smiled softly and gently brushed a kiss to Connor's brow. "You're always worth the wait." He murmured, gently prying the pillow away from Connor. Shifting beneath the sheets, jas gently scooped Connor up and set him down onto of his chest, tucking him safely beneath his chin. "There," he murmured, covering them both in the warm blankets. "I'm a much better pillow, no?" He teased, lightly running his hand along Connor's back in a soothing motion. "Good night, sweetheart. May you have the best of dreams."
Connor happily hugged Jas as he slept. You are a much better pillow… With the warmth he was feeling from jas, he fell asleep. However, that sleep was disturbed by the alarm in the morning. He opened his eyes, but it wasn't as sweet as all of the other morning. He slowly pushed himself up lazily slapping the alarm so it would stop ringing. He groaned, rubbing his eyes and reluctantly getting out of bed. He started to change his clothes not even bothering to check if Jas was awake or not. He pulled off his shirt and started to put on his pants. "Jas…" he mumbled. "I hope you're awake." He yawned.
Jas slowly awoke at the sound of the blaring alarm beside their bed. He groaned softly and almost debated going back to sleep but ultimately sat up once Connor had gotten up. "I'm up darling, I'm up. Though I really wish I weren't." He huffed, rubbing at his eyes and shifting out of bed. "Remind me to never get up this early again." He mumbled, pressing a kiss to Connor's cheek before grabbing the clothes he had left out last night and heading to the bathroom to change. Once he had changed and pretty much done nothing with his hair, Jas groggily went back out to their bedroom. "Want breakfast here or a later when we're on the plane? It is early." He asked, trying his best not to fall asleep in spot
He put on the rest of his clothes and grabbed his back. He hummed from the kiss. He saw the text saying someone was waiting outside for them. "We can eat breakfast on the plane if that's alright with you. I can't eat early in the morning. I could make it if you want something, but I don't think it would be delicious. Come on, and the car is waiting for us outside already. "If you want, we can even get food at the airport and eat it before we get on the plane." Connor stretched his back, trying to wake himself up. "If you are tired, you can sleep in the car, but it would be a very short nap."
"no, no, that's fine. I don't mind waiting until later to eat. Honestly I'm still full from dinner a few hours ago." He wrapped his arms around Connor for a moment, letting himself revel in the blissful moment of warmth. "Will I have to be a cat on the car ride or right before we we enter the airport?" He asked tiredly, words mumbled close to Xonnor's ear as he caught of going back to sleep. He took a deep breath and pressed a kiss to Connor's head, breaking away and shouldering his duffle bag full of clothes. "Oh I'm definitely sleeping in the car." He reassured, a tired smile crossing his features. He spun in a circle, checking the room one more time. "I think we're ready to go."
"Hey, don't fall asleep while standing. It's dangerous. Sleep on the ride there okay? Whichever one is more comfortable for you, but I'm not carrying your bag through the airport." He looked around as well making sure he didn't forget anything. "Perfect." He rolled the two suitcases out of the room. He waited for Jas to come out as well before closing the door behind him. He waned as he walked, he was fully awake but his body was tired. The elevator door opened and he sluggishly walked through pressing the 1st-floor button.
He nodded and followed Connor out if the penthouse apartment and into the elevator. "Is this a normal thing for your organization to do? Send you out on missions at an ungodly hour?" He mumbled shifting his weight slightly. He tried to think back to when he hadn't seen Connor for extended periods of time. Other than when he had married to Winston, he usually saw Connor throughout their lives pretty regularly. "Cuz if this a regular thing, especially this early, it might be a breaking point, darling." He teased, gently lacing their hands together and yawning, a soft meow escaping him.
"Oh please." He shrugged and walked out of the elevator once they reached the ground floor. "You know you're the only one who can bring me to my breaking point. If you know what I mean." he winked, tugging Jas away from the doors. He walked outside and opened the trunk of a black truck. he put his luggage in as well as Jas's and closed it back. He opened the car door, waiting for jas to join him. "Hey, Damion."
"Hey, Connor I will be driving you today. I figured since Jas was coming it would be the best if I was the one who drove you guys to the airport." He gave a thumbs-up before turning around to face the road.
"Thanks, Damion. Are you coming Jas?"
The wink and comment earned Connor a grin from Jas. "I do indeed, my heart." He purred, following Connor out to their awaiting car. He eyed the driver suspiciously and with a bit of recognition. He tilted his head as he slid beside Connor. "You're the one who drove us to the organization headquarters when Connor 'arrested' me." He huffed a small laugh and relaxed into the cushiony seats. "So other than you and Jake, who else knows we're together?" He asked curiously, glancing over at Connor with a smirk
"Well, it's not that everyone knows you're together it's just that well…" Damion started the car and watched the too in back. "It's not that everyone knows, but you should really see how intimate you are with each other whenever you fight. It's like watching two lovers fight over the fact that the dishes weren't washed. Jas you always seduce Connor and then Connor is so emotionless that almost looks angry. Like, when you blow up a building Connor just gets this disappointed look, then he just shakes his head and starts to kick your ass. It's like if you two weren't together it would be a surprise you know?"
Connor blushed at his exclamation. "Are we really?" He huffed and looked out the window watching the cars go by. He glanced at Jas then looked back once he saw his smirk. "Are you going to take a nap?" Connor tapped his lap offering it as a pillow.
Jas's grin only grew more as Damion explained how they appeared to everyone else. While he didn't like the fact that his every move outside his home was tracked, he did find it amusing that he isn't the only one who saw Connor and his relationship entertaining. "Really? How interesting. Now everytime I do anything remotely affectionate, this little bird turns as red as a cardinal." He teased, stretching out on his back, head resting in Connor's offered lap. He reached up and gently stroked Connor's cheek. "I still get those glared and pointed looks but it's not so much out of disappointment anymore, or at least I hope." His smile softened as he yawned and curled up beside Connor. He decided Damien was safe enough to let his ears show in his presence. Jas gently squeezed Connor's hand "wake me when we get to the airport." He murmured, closing his eyes and quickly faking back into a peaceful nap
Connor slapped his chest. "I do not get red!" He protested. He let his angry look turn into a soft one as Jas fell asleep in his lap. "Of course," he whispered, kissing his forehead before stroking his hair and staring out the window. He ran over his ears by accident a couple of times and apologized softly.
"I'm glad to see you happy Connor." Connor looked up to the front. "You never seem happy even when saving lived you have such a blank expression, but when you see Jas you light up like a Christmas tree."
"Do I? I guess you might be right about that one." he kept his voice soft so Jas wouldn't wake up.
"Also, who is the person you want me to meet?"
"He's just a friend of Jas's. He found you cute and you both cook so I thought you guys would hit it off you know? I know how much you love cooking. He has a smaller frame than you, but he has a bit of a temper and a mind of his own. I know you like guys like that."
Damion blushed and huffed. "I do not. We're arriving at the airport soon so you should probably wake up Jas now. I just have to park."
"Hey kitty, he whispered. Time to wake up. I know it was only an hour and a half, but once we get through this we can sleep again on the plain okay?"
Jas' purring fluctuated as Connor pet different parts of his head but it always was a constant. He could literally sleep anywhere if he had Connor beside him.
He eventually awoke, his purring turning into a meow of protest as he sat up and ran a hand through his fluffy hair. He hummed and incoherent response and rubbed his eyes, looking out the window at the airport. "I've actually never flown in a plane before…" He admitted, catching a glimpse of one already taking off behind the airport building. Once the car stopped, Jas tiredly got out of the car and grabbed his duffle bag out if the trunk of the car. "How long is the flight?" He asked with a tilt of his head
"Bye Damion and thanks for the ride. you're the best." He got out of the car closing the door. He took his suitcases out of the trunk and waved to Damion to let him know that they were done. "The flight is 4 hours long. Considering we live in California. You'll be a fine kitty. Let's just get through baggage check." Connor would've held Jas's hand but he was rolling two suitcases, so instead, he gave Jas a soft kiss on the lips before continuing to walk. The baggage and security check didn't take too long. "Do you want to get anything to eat before we head on the plane?"
Jas gave a small wave to Damion and watched as the car pulled out of the airport parking lot. "Wonderful, 4 hours to peacefully sleep and cuddle with my favorite person all to myself." He smiled softly and gently leaned into the kiss. He followed Connor throughout the airport, his ears remaining out and teeth staying sharp the moment they entered the building. He stuck close to Connor as they walked through the lines and baggage claims, self conscious but managing the best he could. He glanced down at Connor and nodded slightly. "Yeah, but are you sure they'll let us take the food On the plane?" He asked, already glancing over to a cafe
"No, but we sometimes have before we the gates open for people to go in. So if you want something, now is your time to get it. I will put our bags by the seat and stay by them. If you see anything I might like, just get it for me, and I will pay you back later. Actually, can you get me black coffee if they have it? I need to do some work o the plane." He took Jas's bag and brought it to one of the seats, and sat by the bags.
Jas was practically bouncing in place. He was still of course tired but now he was more worried about getting food to eat than sleeping. He watched Connor find some seats in the waiting area before dashing off to the airport cafe and getting in line. Once it was his turn, Jas took a deep breath and listed off the items he wanted to buy. A mocha latte for himself in the biggest size he could get along with a cinnamon roll and some sugar cookies. For Connor he ordered a large black coffee as well as a chocolate chip muffin and a slice of carrot cake. Once the order was placed, jas payed and stepped aside to wait for his food and drinks. He glanced around the airport, both excited and exhausted at the same time. He had never been inside one before, much less flown in plane. He ordered his own way if transportation, though it did limit him sometimes when he didn't have a clear vision of where to go. Now he's be able to teleport to Florida anytime he wanted. He glanced up as his name was called and gratefully took his order from the side counter. He found Connor bt their plane gate and settled beside him, passing him his drink and bag of goodies. "Will this keep you awake the entire plane ride?" He asked with a teasing grin, curling up next to Connor and plopping his head in his shoulder, happily sipping at his mocha latte. "We should vacation more often." He missed, wondering what other places he could get to by plane.
Connor happily took the coffee and food. "Should we? Well, if you really want to then we can. I don't mind escaping with you again." He kissed Jas's temple tiredly as he started to eat the muffin first. He pulled on his glass and took out his computer and started to work on some file reports. Soon enough they called for people to board the plane. He had finished his coffee and even had the time to go to the bathroom before. Connor ate the Muffin and cake-like there was no tomorrow. He was hungry and tired and wanted to go to sleep, but the reports came first. He closed his laptop and put it in his bag before getting in line. "Did you finish everything Jas, you can't take it on the plane if you didn't."
Jas purred softly at the kiss, nodding his head as he sleepily watched Connor work. His ears flicked up at the announcement and stretched himself out before standing and grabbing his dufflebag. He finished off his cinnamon roll, throwing it away in a nearby trash can. "Yep! All done." He gave a soft smile and pressed a kiss to Connor's temple. "We'll sleep soon sweetheart, don't worry." He cooed, following Connor to the line. "When will I have to change forms?" He asked softly as they moved forwards in the line.
"Thank you, and you would have to change now." Connor gave the girl their boarding passes. He took Jas's bag because a cat couldn't carry it. "Whenever you're ready, Jas, I don't want to be holding up the line." He placed the handle of the duffle bag around the suitcase, so he would have to roll it onto the plane. Connor fixed his hair and rubbed his eyes tiredly. The coffee wasn't kicking in yet, but he desperately needed it too.
