Has chuckled lightly and nodded "he can be an intimidating thing but he means well. Yes, he knows most of it. Not everything personal but he knows we live more than one life." He explained, nudging Connor's head affectionately as he slid off the counter. He hugged Connor against his form, eyes closing in content as he continued to toy with Connor's soft hair. "You didn't have to get anything my love, you coming home to me everyday is more than enough, more than I deserve." He murmured, swaying in place as they embraced each other "but since you did anyways, know that that box will be gone with in the next few days."
Connor wrapped his hands loosely around Jas's neck. "Are you having fun with my hair?" he teased. Connor dug his head into Jas's neck. "Not that I'm complaining, it feels wonderful and satisfying." he looked at the box and then at jas. "I figured as much. I'm glad you like chocaolate's so much. I will try to refrain from eating them when I go over to your house. Speaking of which, actually this has nothing to do with it but, some of your clothes I put in the washing machine for you since I wanted them to be clean when you get them back. I hope that's okay."
"hm, I am. its very soft. I'm glad you like it, because I don't plan on stopping." He purred, tucking Connor beneath his chin as they slow danced in the kitchen/living room. " I'll gladly buy more if you do end up eating my chocolate." He glanced down at his hero and chuckled lightly "of course that's okay my heart. I don't mind that at all. It'd only be a problem if you did all my laundry all the time. That's not your responsibility." He pressed a kiss to connor's head. "This isn't one of your plans to get my clothes is it? The moment t I stop where something, you'll snatch it up." He asked with a grin, gently nudging Connor's hair affectionately
"I bet you have tons of chocolate at your place. Not tons but you know what I mean. And don't worry, I won't steal your clothing, but may one or two of your sweatshirts…maybe six…who knows?" he shrugged playfully. "I could never do all of your laundry. I barely have enough willpower to do mine." Connor swayed peacefully with Jas. "This feels nice…I wouldn't mind this every once in a while…" Connor hummed. Connor placed a gentle kiss on Jas's neck, considering that was the only part he could reach at the moment.
Has giggled softly and nodded "yes, I do have a lot of chocate at home. More than deemed healthy." He gave a serene smiled and pressed his lips to Connor's temple in a soft kiss. "You're more than welcome to steal any amount of clothing from me you want. Just as long as you leave enough for me to wear." He breath wavered at the kiss, earning Connor a soft pur before Jas nudged their heads together affectionately. "I'd love to dance with you forever my hero." He murmured softly, brushing gentle hand along Connor's cheek. "Even if you are adorably shorter than me."
"That is a challenge you should not have started. Your clothes will be gone before you can even get new ones." He laughed. "Okay, it's not my fault in this life I got the short genes. I mean remember the last life, I got all the tall genes. I may be adorable but I can still kill you if I wanted. We should spar together just so you can see how adorable I am." he leaned into Jas's hand and kissed his palm. "To me your the adorable one, since you love it when I rub your head like a cat. Technically you are one." As he was talking he rubbed Jas's head, the exact way Jas liked it.
"alright dear, I don't want to hear it when I come out with no top because you've taken all of my clothes." He chuckled lightly and tilted his head back so that he could see Connor's features. "It was certainly an interesting life, being much shorter than you yet still being able to get away." He teased, lifting Connor up and hooking his legs around jas's waist. "Oh? You really think you could actually beat me dear? I'd love to prove you wrong." He purred with a laugh, leaning into Connor's touch and kissing his wrist. "Yes I am, I'm your kitty, always."
"I won't be complaining about seeing you with no shirt on." He giggled when he was picked up. "Oh really? You think you could beat me." Connor slid his hand, tracing Jas's jaw and facial features. "Baby you're going to have to try harder than that." he watched Jas kiss his wrist. "I hope you're my kitty till the end of time. Sometimes I wonder if we're the only people that go through this. If we're the only ones that got through centuries of hurt." Connor gave a small chuckle. "I don't mind spending this time with you, but at some point it has to end right? We can't keep living like this…"
Jas immediately melted into Connor's touch, his purring deepening as his eyes fluttered shut. "Careful sweetheart, I know your weakspots." He murmured, the hand holding Connor up slipping under his shirt to trace patterns along his spine and back. He paused his kisses and thought for a moment "I'm not sure dear. I've never met anyone like us, despite the fact that now many people have abilities." Jas fell silent at the mention of their lives congrats to a definitive end. While it made him sad, he also knew a permanent death would come as a relief for both Connor and him. He was tired of living so many lives of pain and sadness. When he had first figured he could live more than one life with Connor, he had been determined to live as long as possible to fulfill his dream but now, rejection after rejection, finding a husband he had adored with all his heart and more, and now finally having a life with connor, he wasn't sure there was a point to living more lives. He pressed a kiss to Connor's lips and offered a small smile "no matter how long we have together, I'll always want to spend it with you, till the end."
Connor's back arched slightly at the foreign touch. He leaned into it soon enough as well as the kiss planted on his lips only moments before. "I would never dream of living my life with someone else." Connor put on hand down reach for the counter. Once he found it he moved onto the counter so it would be less of a burden to carry him. He leaned forward so their faces were still inches apart. "This is not a good combination you know. You, me, alone. This surely can't end well." he teased. He tilted Jas head up so he didn't have to lean down as much. "I'm just kidding. We should get ready to meet your friends. There is absolutely no way I'm going like this." he chuckled.
Jas gently set Connor on the Connor but never moved away from him, instead he moved closer. He completely melted into Connor's hand, eyes slightly more catlight than human, his smile soft and serene. He gave a soft purr and nuzzled into Connor's hold. "I completely disagree my heart and soul, this can only begin wonderfully and I hope to never end." He murmured, just a bit hypnotized by Connor at the moment, especially as he was brought closer. He breathed a laugh "you look stunning as always dear, they won't care about your appearance." He reassured, slowly taking a step back so that Connor could get off the counter
Connor hopped off the counter and kissed Connor's cheek. "If you really say so. I guess we can start going now huh. They tend to go by fast. Are we walking or teleporting? Personally, I've been feeling a bit tired lately. My wings are just really, really tired you know. My feet hurt." he fake complained. Connor intertwined their fingers while making direct eye contact with Jas. "I'm kidding we can walk if we need to." He pecked his nose. "Ready kitty?"
Has leaned into the gentle kiss, glaring playfully at his beloved and rolling his eyes. "If I had known you'd use me as a mode of transportation, I would have gone with Suni earlier just to make you excersize I bit." He teased, gently pressing a kiss to their laced hands. "We'll walk to the warehouse, then I'll teleport us back if you're too tired later." He offered, grabbing his bag from the living room along with a jacket. He meowed softly at the kids to the nose and nudged their heads together "i am, let's go." He said, opening the door and following Connor through the doorway
"You got it. Wait… your friends hang out at a warehouse or is this because they're meeting me?" This has to be the first time I've ever gone through a door within this penthouse. I didn't know the hallways looked like this." The floors weren't rug like every other building instead they were white marble which made their shoes echo through the hallways. The doors were black with a gold outline and the numbers happen to be in gold too. The walls were patten of black and gold swirls on top. "This is a very nice hallway. Even better than the ones in hotel rooms I've seen in foreign countries. I feel like I asked this before already but are you feeling better from yesterday."
"I think it's mostly because they're meeting you." He replied with an apologetic look. He glanced around the hallways, transfixed by the shininess of it all. "This is way to fancy for an ally cat like me. You've been living here how long and you've never seen any of this?" He looked down at the marble floors, so clean and polished that he could almost see their reflections. He looked up at the mention of what happened yesterday and nodded slightly, jas' free hand finding the chain beneath his shirt and impulsively toying with the wedding bands. "Yeah, I'm most Okay. I never would have imagined it being so hard without him even after so many lives since he died. Most days I'm good, but other times like yesterday not so much."he explained softly, gently nudging Connoe towards an elevator he had spotted down the hall.
"I'm glad you're feeling slightly better." He pressed the ground floor button in the elevator and sighed. "I'm telling you I've never seen this part of the hotel. I got keys and they told me this is my new placement, but I just flew up there every day. Either way, it would be a pain to have to wait in an elevator for like minutes because there would be people going to certain floors. It would be much easier if I just flew up there you know. Like how you teleport everywhere."
"I don't teleport everywhere. But I guess it is much easier than the normal walking place to place and taking unnecessary trip everywhere." He shrugged and leaned against the back wall of the elevator. "It's easier I must admit, I've gotten much lazier over the past few lives." He chuckled lightly as he watched the numbers if floors tick down. "It's actually kinda nice, doing something 'normal' for once like taking an elevator." He said, "I can't even remember when the last time was I went without using my ability for more than a few hours."
Connor leaned his hands back on the railing in the elevator. "I guess we both get some sense of normal every now and again. I wouldn't mind it if next life he were just normal people. High schoolers that joke around college students that live in the same dorm, go to parties, prom, dance, get a house, and have something normal. I think I would be content with that." Connor looked down to the floor smiling to himself, thinking about it. The elevator door opened and nodded his head towards the opening. "After you."
"I would actually love that. Just to have at least one normal life, without powers or anything with you." He matched Connor's whosrfull smile and gently l
laced their hands together. "I would love to dance the night away with you at prom." He pressed a kiss to Connor's hand before looking up as the doors opened. He gently tugged Connir alongside him as they went out into the streets of the city.
Connor followed Jas along the streets of the city. For once it was quiet. Not too quiet because of cars but there seemed to be fewer people and if there were people they were listening to music. The air felt warm, much warmer than yesterday. The sun shone brightly, just enough so that you could look at it and it wouldn't be blinding. "It seems like a perfect day to me. How far is the warehouse? I hope it's not in some creepy town that's abandoned." Conner shivered at the thought.
Jas's ears flicked perked up as the warmth tof he sun hit them. He found it a bit unsettling that the streets weren't as jam packed as he was used to, living in the lower parts of the city but he guessed it was a nice change. Something less chaotic and loud than his normal life. Jas's glanced down at Connor as they walked and shook his head with a little laugh. "No sweetheart, it's not a creepy building. Abandoned by the city yes but we use it frequently enough that it's actually pretty nice inside, nice for a few alley kids like us can get but still, nice nontheless. He pressed a kiss to the top of his head and shook his head "what do you take me for, love, a street rat? While not a completely honest job, stealing is a way of life for me and my friends, whether we like it or not."
"I understand that, I just really didn't want it to be dark and creepy. Places like that trigger my PTSD.” He smiled softly when a kiss was gently placed on his forehead. "I don't take you for a street rat, however, you do some shady things kitty." He ruffled Jas's hair. "I really wished your friends could see your cat ears. It would've been funny even though they probably already saw them at some point time I would've loved to see their reaction." He reminisced their day out in the city earlier in the week. "You were really cute with your ears though."
He shrugged "you have to do what you have to do." He reasoned, gently running a thumb along Connor's hand in comfort. He laughed lightly and hid his ears for now as they entered the threshold separating the upper city and the lower city. "Some of them haven't seen my ears. They know I can shapeshift like Suni but I don't think they know I can selectively shift. He pouted down at his love "oh? So I'm not cute without my ears?" He asked, lightly nuzzling Connor's cheek and instinctively pulling him a little closer as the roads narrowed and more people could be seen lingering on the sidewalk.
"So you have a bias of turning into a cat. How interesting. Maybe it's because I give you head pats and kiss you all over. Then I nuzzle my face into yours." Connor giggled when he was nuzzled. "I didn't say that you're just more…violent should I say. You seem to have more of a dominant vibe when you don't have your ears, but when you do have our ears all of that disappears." He chuckled lightly. "You're so protective sometimes…I can handle myself you know," he said in response to being pulled closer. "Then again I'm not complaining."
"owe all know that's my preference as a cat, dear." He giggled lightly and pressed a kiss to the top of Connor's head. "That makes sense, I feel more comfortable that way. Without them it feels like I'm acting or something. Like I'm not completely there in the moment so I have to make up for that by being a bit more assertive." He suggested and scanned around warily. "Believe me, I know you can take care of yourself sweetheart. But I would rather not take the any chances." He murmured, gently nudging Connor around a corner towards an empty street leading to a lonesome building, Suni and another keeping guard outside, if it could be called that. Suni was in his focus form, seemingly asleep while the other was scrolling through his phone
