Connor closed his eyes giving a soft hum. "No I did not call for you, but it's always nice to have you here anyway. Don't distract me too much this time. I would like you to have food to eat on time." Connor turned his head and kissed Jas's cheek. "Any side dishes you want? I'm in a cooking mood this morning. So speak now or forever hold your peace." Connor was going to make a fruit bowl either way more of just for him. He quickly cut the fruit like it was nothing.
Jas huffed a sigh and pressed a kiss to the tip of Connor's ear. "That's hardly fair my love, when you distract me all the time." He rubbed their cheeks together, at the same time emitting a deep purred. "Hmm? Well it seems you've got a fruit salad going. Maybe we cod make some bacon or ham, something salty that balance out all the sweet?" He suggested, letting go of Connor to look around in the fridge and to to let him cook in peace for a moment. "You know you're very attractive when you get all serious." Jas smirked a pressed a kiss to Connor's brow as he stood beside him, watching in awe as he easily cut the fruit.
Connors body froze for a second as his ear was kissed, a rush of chill crawling up his spine soon following. He started his pace again giving a soft glare to Jas before he giggled at his actions. "Since have I ever distracted you?" He shook his head in disbelief. He had a small smile pasted to his lips as he put the fruits into a bowl. "How about some ham I haven't really cooked ham in a while so it should be quite fun. You always say that I'm attractive when I'm serious and honestly, I don't get what you see in those eyes of yours. You, my sweet kitty, are attractive any time of day, even at your worse." He happily commented. "No more distractions mister especially on my sensitive parts." He demanded.
"oh more than you think, my heart. I'm sure there were many a times you could have caught me due to me just staring at your magnificence for a second too long." He smiled softly, nodding his head and grabbing the ham from the fridge along with a knife and small cutting board. He found an empty space at the counter and set everything down. "Well, to be fair, you're always attractive. But I like seeing you all serious." He set his knife down and wrapped his arms back around Connor, lips close to his ear as he embraced his love for a moment longer. "Thank you.my love, but you haven't seen me at my worst. That's only ever happened twice. I hope you never have to see that side of me." He murmured, pressing feather light kisses to Connor's exposed neck. "But why not? You're get so cute when I kiss you."
"You can't just…" he took a deep breath in and out. "I hope I get to see that side of you more often. The more of you I see the better for the both of us." He flinched when Jas started to kiss his neck very lightly. Even when it tickled it still felt good. "You can't whisper in my ear and then kiss my neck." He managed to say with a straight voice. "Jas…I need to cook you can't be teasing me like this." He let his eyes close as he took a deep gulp.
Jas rested his chin on Connor's shoulder, relieving him.of kisses and affection for now. "Thank you, for being understanding." He replied earnestly, leaning forwards and stealing one last kis from connor's lips. "Very well my love, I'll leave you be." He hugged Connor close for a moment, drinking in his warmth and enjoying his time with the one he loved. "Deep down, you know you love when I do this." He murmured with a grin, finally pulling away to go back to chopping the ham into cubes
"I do not…: he made huffed and continued his cooking. It didn't take long to make them considering they didn't need many things. He set them onto the table once he was done and sighed. I hope these taste good. I've never made or tasted these before and I would hate to ruin your breakfast." He sat down in the chair across from where Jas would usually sit. and looked at the spread of fruit and custard tarts. "Tommrow I have a long mission to go on so I'm afraid I won't be coming home, but even so we can still talk on the phone and stuff. If you would like. I probably won't be able to talk long but I still can…again…only if you want to…" he added. He cleared his throat, looking down to his lap
"I'm sure they're perfect, dear. They even look similar to the ones I had." He reassured, scooping the ham in a small pan to fry off and get crispy. He glanced up at the mention of Connor going on a long m8ssion, ears flattening against his h3ad in slight worry. "Is that normal? For them to send you.on such a long mission?" He asked, carefully eyeing the h.so that it didn't burn. "Of course I want to talk with you, even on the phone." He smiled softly and stirred around the ham. "Where will the mission be?" He asked, turning off the stovetop and pouring out the ham onto a plate with a papertowel to soak up the excess juices. He brought the plate over and settled in the chair, reaching over and gently taking Connor hand's in his. "If you're worried about m getting into some sort of trouble, o can assure you, nothing will happen while you're gone. I promise."
"Um…" he fidgeted. "Not usually. They never really move me somewhere far away for a long time. I should just be out till Thursday. Depending on how long it takes. It's in Florida. I would take you with me and have a vacation with you but it's for work and stuff. I have to go undercover, top-secret, nothing too bad I promise." He gave a quick smile before starting to eat. He nodded his head. "These are really good. I'm not worried about you causing harm. I trust you too much for that. It's shouldn't be a big mission, I may even come back early. Estimated time Thursday or Friday."
Has nodded slightly, skeptical about the whole mission but not wanting to worry Connor more. "Lucky, you get gmto go to Florida." He teased, gently squeezing his hand before letting go to eat breakfast. He gave a smirk, "oh? So all it took was locking me up, a few kisses here and there, and sleeping with me to suddenly make you trust me?" He purred, resting his cheek his hand. "If only I'd known that long ago." He mused with a whistful sigh, silently planning out the two day mission in his head. "Then I'll miss you until then, my love. I'm not sure I'm entirly readtly to let go without me for this long, though." He pouted softly and sighed "there's no way I could convince you stay here with me? Or at least take me along? Evening if you leave me in a hotel all day?"
"Okay, what I mean is you wouldn't do anything to make me angry therefore I trust you not to wreak havoc all over my city." He thought for a moment. "I can see you're very worried about me. If you come…will you promise me you'll be on your best behavior. I can't promise you can go, but you have to be good. Which means no killing, no making a name for yourself in Florida. I'm there for work not to babysit you. Jake will be there but he's pretty cool now so don't get angry at him either." He ate the rest of the food and licked his lips. "Are we clear?"
Jas rested his head in his hand "dearest, are you really asking me to be on my best behavior? What's the worst a kitty like me can do?" He smiled sweetly "I'm honestly offended love, first that you don't trust me not to get in trouble, and second for actually trusting Jake over me." He muttered with a shake of his head. While he had gone and talked to Jake before, he still wasn't entirely convinced that he wasn't still after Connor's love. He glanced up at Connor and breathed a reluctant sigh, "fine. It'll be like I'm not even there." He stood from the table to take his half empty plate to the sink, suddenly not hungry anymore.

He brought his plate to the sink as well. "Are you really asking me how I don't trust you to not cause trouble after all the decades of trouble you caused? And I do trust you more than Jake. I'm just saying behave. We'll be in separate rooms so you can stay with me while he's in the other room." Connor turned Jas's head towards him, cupping his cheeks with his hands. "I never said for you to be absent when I get back to the hotel I just don't want to see your face on the news." He planted a light kiss on Jas's forehead. "You'll also have to be in cat form the plane ride there. If you are coming."

Jas took a controlled breath is and out, knowing that Connor was right, and annoyed with himself that there wasn't a way to prove him wrong. Jas had done nothing to prove he wouldmt wreak havoc any chance he saw. He turned to face Connor, hands resting lightly on his back. "Alright." He breathed, lacing the hand at his cheek with his own and pressing a gentle kiss to Connor's palm. "I'll be a good kitty. No secretly going out and planning some crime. I promise." He murmured, eyes fluttering closed for a moment as Connor kissed his brow. "Just as long as I get to ride with you and not the pet designated area, I'm fine with that." He smiled softly and hugged Connor close.
"Thank you kitty." He kissed his cheek before walking to the other side of the counter. He hopped up on the counter and crossed his legs. "Don't worry you'll be seating with me. I mean when we have to go on the flight you'll have to hide in my bag but once we're on the plain you can come out and be your usually clingy self." He joked. "We'll be in first-class so there will be plenty of room." Connor fixed his hair putting it into a high ponytail. "Do you think I should cut it? It's pretty long? My hair I mean."
"I am not clingy," he whined as he started to scrub at the dishes. "I just don't like being around anyone else except you." He smiled innocently. "Ooh first class hub? Very fancy. Can't wait for those complementary peanuts and champeign." He joked, setting the plates to the side to dry while he started on the pans they used. "I like it long but you can do whatever you want. I think you look good either way."
"You make it hard to make decisions. I think it's time for a haircut. I guess I should go now before we meet your friend huh. I want to surprise you so I will go by myself. I will see you in a few okay. Do you want anything while I'm out I might stop at some places and stuff?" Connor hopped off the counter and wrapped his arms around Jas's waist from behind. I'm not tall but I can still do it too." He was determined to distract Jas from washing dishes like he did when he was cooking.
Jas thought for a moment before shaking his head "nope, I think we're all good." He said, glancing over his shoulder a moment later and smiling softly. He chuckled and relaxed into Connor's hold, lightly tracing patterns on the hands around his waist. "You're more than welcome to distract me anytime you want sweetheart." He turned around in Connor's hold and pressed a kiss to his nose. "Consider me irreversibly distracted now."
Connor moved closer to Jas's face and gave him a peck on the lips. "I'm glad I made you distracted. I'll see you soon, text me if we can meet up with your friends or not." He left through the balcony like he always did. While he was at the barber He got his hair cut really short. He got an undercut as well. He paid the man who had done it, however, the man simply refused. Apparently, it's because of all the crime he has kept away from his shop over the years. Connor knew nothing about this, so then left the shop. He picked up some things and got a few new weapons for his mission tomorrow.
Jas hummed happily at the kiss and nodded as Connor pulled away from their embrace. "I will, have fun darling. Don't come back bald!" He called with a laugh, finishing up the dishes and cleaning the house a bit. After everything was done, has flopped down onto the couch with his computer to start looking up any information about other criminals in florida, something that would spark interest withing the organization Connor worked for.
"So you're really serious about this?" Suni muttered from his spot on the balcony. Jas glanced up and tilted his head. "About what, vixen?" He asked, patting the couch beside him and focusing back on his computer. Suni shifted into a fox and slunk over, curling up beside Jas before shifting back. "This, you and Connor." He replied, waving a hand around the place.
"Of course I'm serious about us. I love Connor." Has replied, slightly confused by his friend's sudden doubt.
"Even after all this time? All the lives spent denying you? He imprisoned you Jas." Suni argued, a grown pulling at his sharp features.
Jas turned to his friend. "Where this coming from?" He asked slowly, trying to search Suni's unreadable expression. Sumo shrugged with a grunt, I'm just looking out for you, feline. I don't want to see you hurt."
Jas snorted a laugh, "are you jelous?"
Suni turned and smacked Jas' arm, "no! I'm just trying to look out for you. Connor does seem to make you really happy and I don't want that to end for either of you but I also want both you to be careful. Maybe slow it down a bit and talk about things before you go any further."
Jas took a deep breath and yanked Suni into a tight hug. "We will, okay. We'll talk. About everything. I promise, we won't rush into things." He said softly, taking a deep breath and letting go of the squirming fix. "Yeah, yeah, yeah…I know you will." Suni rested against Jas' shoulder and fell quiet as Jas went back to searching for information. "Do you and the rest still want to meet him?" Jas asked softly.
Suni nodded "yeah, just as long as we don't get reported in to his little super hero group."
Connor had a small bag of chocolates. He reached to the back of his head expecting hair to be there, but nothing. "Jeez, I keep forgetting it's short now. Years of growing it out are gone. he spoke to himself as he flew back up to the balcony. He looked in the bag and smiled. "I think He's going to like this. He hung up his coat on the rack and hummed peacefully walking to the kitchen. "Hey, Jas I was at CVS and…" He looked up and saw Suni talking to Jas. "Oh, Suni you're here again. You should give me some warning at least call before you come." He smiled and set the bag down on the counter. "I didn't hear what you were talking about before in case you were wondering." He took the chocolates out of the bag. "Did Jas already ask you about me coming to meet his friends or did you guys not get to that yet?"
Both Jas and Suni flicked their gazes up as the sound Connor entering the apartment. Jas shut his computer and Suni stood, shrugging his shoulders. "Didn't have you're number." Jas shifted into his cat form and jumped up onto the counter, eyes widening when he saw just how short Connor's hair was. Ignoring the bag, he padded over and balanced himself on Connor's shoulders, examining the new hairstyle and nudging his head against Connor's cheek, putting in appreciation.
"I didnt mind if you heard. There wasn't anything I said to Jas that I wouldn't say to you." Suni replied, shoving his hands into his pockets and glancing down at the box of chocolate. "Yeah, we did. We'll meet up later. I'll clean Jas once I find everyone." He stalked to the door and gave a little wave to Jas before shifting mid jump out the balcony entrance.
Connor giggled as Jas rubbed against his cheek. "I'll take it, that you like it." he looked over to Suni. "I mean you have Jas's number. Anyway, I guess I'll be seeing you later then." He watched Suni leave and he let out a sigh. Connor took Jas off his shoulder and held him out in front of Connor's face. "Suni makes me nervous." Connor pouted. "When they cut it all off I swear I felt naked. They showed me how much they cut off and it was 5 feet of hair and you believe that?" He sent him down on the counter and throw the plastic bag away. "I bought the chocolates for you. I was going to give you them but Suni was here and I got nervous, so I didn't."
Jas mewled in protest at being moved and lightly booped his nose to Connors. He gently patted Connor's head with his paw. Once he was settled on the counter, has shifted back to normal and watched Connor throw the bag away. "You look stunning my love. And here I thought you couldn't get more attractive." He chuckled lightly and gently cupped Connor's cheek, pressing a kiss to his nose. "I'm sorry about Suni. He's usually not so standoffish. He's just worried about us, considering our history." He sighed softly and pressed their heads together, gently running his free hand through Connor's now very short hair. "This is going to get some getting used to but I like it a lot." He murmured, holding Connor close as he turned his attention to the chocolate. "For me?" He took the box in his hand and opened it up to find an array of chocolates. He smiled softly and pressed a kiss to Connor's lips, "thank you my love."
Connor scrunched his nose when it was kissed. "It's okay It's not your fault. It really has nothing to do with you it's just. I don't know people don't normally intimidate me it's mostly just anxiety." He shrugged. "Does he know that we come back to life and everything or just about this life?" He took a deep breath in and out when Jas started to play with his hair. "Trust me it's going to take some getting used to as well. I'm glad you like it." He hummed against Jas's lips. "You're always welcome. I figured I should get you something because why not. Everybody likes chocolate so I bought you some." Connor wrapped his arms around Jas's neck.
