Samul moved to stand, offering his arms to pick Larkin up.
Samul moved to stand, offering his arms to pick Larkin up.
Larkin clung to Samul, wrapping his arms around the other's neck. He was quieter than usual, clearly tired and not feeling great.
Samul patted Larkin's back, carrying him out to the kitchen. He hummed some, pulling the food out of the fridge and putting it in the pan to heat up.
Larkin buried his face in Samul's shoulder again, holding as tightly to him as he could. He only looked up when the food was warmed up.
Samul poured the thick sausage and gravy into a bowl for Larkin on top of some toast he made, offering it to his love.
"Thanks, love…" Larkin said softly, accepting the food from Samul and starting to eat it. "You're the best, honestly."
Samul chuckled some, kissing Larkin's cheek.
"Only because you let me," he said, smiling.
Larkin stuck his tongue out a bit and returned the kiss. "Yeah, yeah. We should… like… watch a movie or something."
"A movie sounds wonderful," Samul agreed. He smiled some, nuzzling his head against Larkin's for a moment as he carried them out to the still spacious and empty living room.
Larkin glanced around at the empty room with a bewildered expression. "What in the world did I do last night??"
"There was lots of running," Samul admitted. "I didn't think it would be a good idea to go out like we normally do, so we just got your energy out in here."
"I guess that makes sense… did I push the furniture or did you, though?" He asked, clearly bewildered.
"I did," Samul confirmed. "I figured it would be best to get them out of the way."
Larkin nodded, sighing softly in relief. "That's good… I was worried that I'd destroyed everything."
Samul offered a smile, kissing Larkin's cheek.
"We're good, dear. Here, I'll get everything in place again."
"Okay… do you need me to get down to help you?" He asked softly.
"That would be nice, but I don't want you doing it unless you feel good enough to." Samul sat Larkin down, kissing his head.
"I should be alright…" Larkin carefully got down and started pushing the furniture back where it was supposed to be.
Samul did as well, humming some. With everything back in place, he offered his arms to Larkin again.
"So, what shall we watch?"
Larkin huddled up in Samul's arms, shrugging a bit. "Dunno… I'm fine with anything. Might fall asleep during it anyway."
"Okay then, dear." Samul led Larkin to the couch, sitting down with Larkin in his lap. "I love you."
"Love you too." Larkin yawned and rested his head on Samul's shoulder, seeming pretty content for the moment.
Samul ran his fingers through Larkin's hair, picking the remote up to turn on a show.
Larkin turned his attention to the screen, yawning every once in a while and keeping close to Samul. "We should visit your moms again soon…"
"I agree," Samul said. "Sometime when we're able to take several days off." He smiled some, kissing Larkin's head.
