Samul nodded, taking his card back and putting it away.
"Thanks, Jeb," he said, smiling some. He knew they were getting a discount, with how expensive meat was getting. He took the large box of meat when it was offered, holding it in his arms and turning to Larkin.
"Anything else?"
Larkin shook his head a bit and stood on his toes to kiss Samul's cheek. "Nope! We can go home now. Thanks, Jeb!"
"You're welcome boys, have a good day!" Samul smiled, leaning into Larkin's cheek as he turned to lead the other out of the store.
Larkin hummed happily and got into the car with Samul. "Mm… thanks, Samul. I love you~"
"I love you too dear~" Samul laughed softly, kissing Larkin's cheek. He put the meat in the back seat, moving to get into his own and turn the truck on.
Larkin buckled himself into the car, humming happily. "I do wish meat wasn't so expensive, though…"
"It's okay, Larkin, really." Samul offered a small smile, kissing Larkin's cheek before turning his attention to the car to pull out.
"I know, I know… but I still feel bad about it." Larkin sighed softly. "It's a lot of money."
"It also lasts us for a while." Samul moved to run his fingers through Larkin's hair before letting it fall to hold his hand and give it a squeeze.
"I guess so…" Larkin smiled weakly and held tightly to Samul's hand. "Hopefully it'll be easier once I've got a proper job."
"Hopefully," Samul agreed. "We can survive now, though. We'll be okay."
Larkin nodded a bit. "Yeah… we'll be alright. I love you…"
"I love you too, Larkin. We're going to have a good life together." Samul hummed softly, lifting Larkin's hand and kissing his knuckles as they came to a red light.
Larkin flushed lightly and leaned over to kiss Samul's cheek. "Y-Yeah… we will."
Samul smiled softly and leaned into the kiss, humming. He held Larkin's hand still, moving to pull away from the light.
Larkin kept quiet until they got home, getting out of the car and coming around to help Samul bring the meat inside. "What are we gonna make for dinner?"
"Well, what sounds good?" Samul asked. He was glad for Larkin's help, bringing the meat inside to get it all put away.
"I dunno. I'm hungry, and I'm fine with whatever." Larkin shrugged a bit and helped Samul put things away.
"Mm, got it," Samul said, thinking. "I could always fry up some chicken."
"Sounds good to me." Larkin shrugged a bit. "You know I'll eat pretty much anything."
Samul chuckled some, nodding.
"I know, dear," he said smiling as he kissed Larkin's cheek.
Larkin nuzzled against Samul affectionately and returned the kiss. "I love you~"
"I love you too~" Samul smiled, hugging Larkin before pulling away to get a chicken breast out.
Larkin kept close to Samul, watching him curiously. "Is there anything I can do to help?"
"Well, would you like to help me cut some herbs?" Samul offered.
