"They do have a good feel to them. Especially if it's family owned, then you get the mamma waitress who calls you 'hun,' and gets you sweet tea before even asking."
"They do have a good feel to them. Especially if it's family owned, then you get the mamma waitress who calls you 'hun,' and gets you sweet tea before even asking."
"You would be in luck then, as it is family owned." She pulled out her keys to unlock a pickup truck, of all cars.
He laughed. "Wow. You're just full of surprises."
"Indeed." She pulled open the passenger door for him before reluctantly letting go of his hand to go to the other side.
He walked to the to the other side and opened the door, climbing in.
Manon set her bag carefully in the back before climbing into the drivers seat, starting up the truck.
"How do you drive in those heels?" He asked
I love how there can be, like, 10 people staring at the height difference between the two, and Eli just doesn't care))
He pulled the phone out of his pocket and frowned as he opened it. "So, how do I text on this thing?"
((aakkjhxs sorry! i was at dinner! my family went out to olive garden
"Practice." She said in response to his question about the heels, and glanced over. "As for the texting, I can teach you that once I am not driving."
"Oh, okay." He glanced over at her and smiled lightly, sliding it back up and sliding it back into his pants. "You think I'd need to shave?" He rubbed his lightly stubble.
"For the job, possibly. I do kind of…like the stubble."
(Psssh, your fine. I'm still thinking about the idea of her having to take off her shoes to kiss him, and it's hilarious. That has to happen))
"Honestly, I thought it made me look like a bum."
((absolutely
She shook her head, hair falling into her face. "No. Not quite professional, but.." She trailed off as she attempted to blow her hair back out of her face, face scrunched up funnily.
He laughed a little, then asked, "Do you need any help?"
"Could you? I just need it tucked back." She continued to try and get it back, not having much luck.
"Yeah, I've got it." He reached over with his right hand, his fingers brushing lightly against the side of her head as he tucked it back.
Her cheeks heated up once again, and her skin tingled where his fingers had brushed. "Er-thank you."
"No problem." He flashed her a smile. He did notice the blush on her face, but decided to not make a comment.
"You have told me about your sisters, but not as much about yourself. I would like to know more." She said, trying to distract herself.
"Well, there's not much. I'm typically at work all day, but if I get home early I try to take the girls somewhere, even if it's just the park down the street. Don't have many friends, for the same reason why I don't go out. I mean, I just work, go home, go to sleep."
"Hopefully, that will get to change." She glanced over at him once again, smiling softly.
He nodded. "I'll be awesome to stay home with them on the weekends." He glanced over at her. "Maybe even have company over."
She blinked, and huffed a laugh. "If that is an invitation, I gladly accept."
