((they're so cute! sadly, i'll be going to bed soon, so if i disappear, that's why
"I would love that." She said softly, squeezing his hand.
He let go of her hand and held his arms out in an awkward request for a hug.
((It's fine, everybody need some sleep
((lmao it's like midnight and the only reason i'm going to bed is because i have to
She wrapped her arms around him, slipping out of her shoes in a last minute decision, so that the hug wouldn't be too awkward.
He chuckled lightly. "You look different down here."
He smelled surprising pleasant, despite the fact that he had gotten off of work only 2 or 3 hours ago. He smiled sheepishly when the pulled away, putting his hands into his pockets and looking down at his feet.
((sorry! was catching up on sleep
"Do I really look different without the shoes?" She asked, amusement evident in her tone.
"Not really different, per say. It'll just a different angle than I'm used to."
((I just realized that with her heels, she's 6'5, which is taller than most full grown men
"Interesting. I do…have a question, pertaining to this situation. Does my height bother you at all?"
He tilted his head. "Not at all. Why would it?"
"It bothers a lot of men. Women not so much, but men don't tend to like being the shorter person."
He shrugged. "Ah, yes, tiny man syndrome. I don't really care about that type of stuff. Does it bother you?"
She pulled a face. "Have I not yet made it obvious that it does not?"
"Just a courtesy, I guess." He furrowed his eyebrows. "I don't remember being this awkward in a long time."
"My brother used to tell me not to trust any man who is smooth talking straight from the beginning, because anyone worth your time will feel the..butterflies, I believe you call them." Her jaw clenched at the mention of her brother, but it was gone so quick that it almost didn't seem to have actually happened.
He smiled slightly. "That makes me feel a little better. I thought I've been blowing this so far."
"You have been doing just fine."
His smiled widened and he rubbed his chin. "We should probably get going to my house. Neighbors have to be at their wits end."
She nodded, pulling out her keys. "Well then, shall we be off?"
He nodded, still smiling as he began to walk to her truck. "Don't forget your shoes."
He nodded, still smiling as he began to walk to her truck. "Don't forget your shoes."
Instead of putting them back on, she just picked them up and carried them with her. "Good catch."
"But of course." He waited by the door patiently.
She caught up easily, unlocking the truck and opening his door, before going around to climb back into the driver's seat.
"Aw, how sweet," he said, getting into the car and buckling in.
"Chivalry is important." She quipped jokingly, winking at him.
At that he laughed, his eyes squinting as he did.
His laugh is incredible. She shook her head, smiling.
He was still chuckling lightly as he looked out of the window, watching the sunset. "I hate the winter here. It's only 6 o'clock, but it's already getting dark."
"I kind of like it. It means the stars are out earlier." She glanced out the window to her side.
