Shade shrugs. "What I was never mattered very much to me. I've always been fine fine fine being me."

She can feel Farah's heartbeat again, closer in pace and rhythm to her own now.

Shade laughs. "Yeah…"

Was this a side effect of the aura transfer, or something more? Shade wonders, feeling each heartbeat multiplied 2, 3 times over as she stayed pressed against Farah.

Shade nods, rubbing her upper arm with her hand. "Yeah… it felt good."

Shade watches Farah, then flushes. She turns away when the faerie speaks.

"Yeah. Not tonight, though. As I've been saying, we need rest." she murmurs, setting up a temporary camp.

Shade shakes her head, and grabs the faeries hands gently. "We all need sleep. You especially, Farah, after what you agreed to earlier. Trust me on this. Please."

Farah's eyes glowed for a moment, searching for a specific aura. There. She located who she was looking for and smiled. Using her magic, she held her palm out and conjured a water bubble in the center of it. Seconds later, a strong blue aura surrounded her and popped the bubble. Farah laughed. "Hello, Alara."

The spirit's aura disappeared behind a rock structure, flashed, and emerged as a lithe, graceful warrior with a sword across her back. She nodded a greeting. "Farah." Her almond-shaped eyes turned to Shade, then Saul. "Who are they?"

"Friends," Farah replied. "This is Shade, and this is Saul. We need rest for the night. Could you keep watch and protect us, sacred spirit? And keep up dry if it rains?" Alara arched her eyebrows, and Farah grinned. "Please?"

Alara rolled her eyes. "Fine."

Shade gasps and grins. "Her? How many legends do you know, Farah?"

She laughs then sets up two tents: one for Saul, the other for Farah and her.

Shade's laughter turns into a choking sound as she turns to Farah. "You're not joking, are you?"

(I'm down for ~s p i c y~)

Farah smirked and arched an eyebrow. "Of course not. Anyone else you'd like me to bother for you?"

Behind Farah, Alara sighed heavily. "Really?"

Shade sighs. "Of course… and please, don't go to any more trouble for me. It'll make me feel worse about earlier."

She climbs into the tent, sighing as she does so, glad to be off of her feet.

Farah shook her head. "I was kidding. Most of them like to be summoned."

"And you couldn't have called any of the ones who wanted to be here?" Alara called to Farah's retreating back.

Farah giggled. "Nope!" With that, she slipped into the tent, coming face-to-face with Shade. "Oh! Sorry!" she cried, backing away, which wasn't an easy task seeing as it was a very small tent.

Shade jumps, then laughs. "Don't apologize apologize apologize for that! It's fine."

She makes room for Farah, scootching over.

Shade notices alright, and chuckles lightly.

"Hey… is everything alright?" she calls.

Shade goes back to Farah, placing a hand once more against the faerie's chest. She feels the heartbeat resonate in her once more, and she shivers.

"No, you're not. What's wrong?" she asks.

Shade notices the change in breathing, and the change in the rhythm of Farah's heart, and laughs. She takes one of Farah's hands, and gently places it against her heart.

My blood is your blood… she thinks.
