Ash tilted his head towards Laura's, continuing to gently rub her in comfort.
"I'm sure." He closed his own eyes a moment.

Laura kept quiet as she leaned against him, trying to clear her head. If she didn't think about it, she wouldn't worry about it. Quietly she played with the folds in his shirt to distract herself, and after a while she had done so. She barely even remembered what had happened to cause her to freak out.
"I- um. I think I'm okay, sir. Really, this time."

Ash looked down at Laura.
"Alright…" He believed her this time. "Are you ready for dinner?" Ash ran his fingers through Laura's hair, glad she had calmed down.

“Yes, sir.” Laura nodded, letting out a soft sigh. She sat up in his lap, looking up to him with a half smile.
“I- um, if you’re ready, sir.” She added, keeping her gaze up on his face.

"I'm ready." Ash offered a small smile, standing. He ran his fingers through Laura's hair.

Laura nodded, wrapping her arms around his neck. She held onto him, letting out a soft sigh.
"I'm sor-" Stopping herself, she loosened her hold before pulling back. "Thank you, sir. For… for everything."

Ash gave a small smile. He could take this as improvement.
"You're welcome, Laura. For everything." Ash hugged Laura, pulling back after a moment.
"Do you still want to stay here while I get the food?"

Laura sighed softly, resting her head against him. That was honestly a lot harder to say than just apologizing over and over.
"Um, kind of…" She mumbled in response.
"I-I think I can go with you, if you need me to."

"It's okay, Laura." Ash gently sat Laura down on the bed, giving her a gentle hug before pulling away.
"I'll be right back, I promise."

Laura gave him a small smile, nodding just a little to the reassurance.
"Alright, thank you, sir." She hummed, curling up on the bed. She kept up a small smile, hugging her knees.

Ash offered one more smile in return, lightly placing his hand on her head a moment before turning. He left the room, with the full intent of coming back in only a few minutes.

Laura kept quiet when he left, her smile dropping. What was wrong with her? She went from happy and excited to a mess in five minutes. She felt awful for freaking out on him, and couldn't get rid of it. Even if he said it was fine.
She felt heavy, even if she felt better about the before situation. Something was still there, and she doubted it would go away any time soon. Quietly she got up from the bed, wandering around the room. She had her arms wrapped around herself, heading up to the closet.

The closet was bare of most things, the other games and puzzles in the same place she and Ash had left them. The wear carried different sizes of clothes, from adult to child. The room h had been prepared for anyone to be able to move in, it seemed. The entire room was like this- waiting for someone to come in and user it, no matter who it was. It just so happened to be Laura.

Only now was she focused on how empty the room really seemed. It was definitely odd. But it was nice, none the less. She could be out on the streets by herself- or stuck with some random people that she didn't know. Not that she knew Mr. Ash very well. Sighing softly, she shut the closet door before wandering around the room some more. She was doing what she could to distract herself, finding herself approaching the bedroom door, hand resting on the handle. Her feet were leading her, not really thinking about where she was going or what she was doing.

Ash still have come back yet. The hall outside Laura's room was empty, thankfully, if she ended up opening it. A silence had fallen over the building- there had always been a background of laughter, of other people going about their lives, but now… Nothing.

With a deep breath, Laura pulled the door open. She wandered out mindlessly, slowly making her way down the hall. Her curiosity was getting the better of her as she slowly made her way down the hall, reading over the names. She’d probably freak out if someone walked out, but she was pretty calm right now.

This last door was partially opened. Inside, the man from before in the hall was sitting on a chair, knees pulled up to his chest. His scars were still visible, seeming to cover every inch of his skin. He was tracing some with one finger, looking was unfocused eyes at the wall. He didn't look okay, not right in the head.

Laura hesitated as she approached the door, gently pushing it open. Maybe she shouldn't be even out here, but for whatever reason she felt pulled to this door. Her feet were still guiding her, her head loosing all control over her body. Gently she knocked on the door, a soft look on her face. "Sir? Are you alright?" She asked softly, standing in the doorway.

The man looked up when he heard the knock at the door. His seemed to have snapped back to reality, using one hand to rub at his eyes.
"I- I'm fine," he said in response. His voice was scratchy, like someone who was much, much older, and had had one too many cigarettes. He himself looked young, of course, barely an adult. His eyes, his voice, his scars all seemed to say otherwise, though.

Laura gave him a soft look. This was way out of her comfort zone, going to show how out of it she was. The blank look on her face had shifted though, trying to show sincerity.
“I… you don’t look okay.” She whispered, staying in the door way of his room. Laura kept a light hold on herself, occasionally glancing up at the other.
“I- I’m sorry, sir. I shouldn’t intrude… I can go.” She whispered as her brain started to click back to normal.

"I…" Fun looked at Laura a moment. That was the name on the door tag, at least. A strange name, especially with no surname.
"It doesn't look like you are either," the man said softly. "You don't have to go if you don't want to, but I won't make you stay here." Fun let out a breath, closing his eyes.

Laura hesitated before slowly stepping back into the room. She quietly approached him, but made sure to keep some distance between the both of them. She kept the door in her eye-line, looking up to the other.
"Um… I… are you sure? I don't want to intrude on you… I-I just… I heard crying." She whispered, glancing up at him nervously.

"I'm sure." Fun shifted a bit in his chair, looking down at Laura a moment with his arms still around his legs.
"Thank you, for the concern." The man offered a weak smile, resting his chin on his knees. "You're the girl who's stay with Ash, right?" he asked, wanting clarification. His hair was messy, falling in his eyes.

Laura hesitated before nodding just a little, fiddling with the hem of her shirt.
"Yes, sir. I- um… I'm Laura," She replied in a practically inaudible tone. She occasionally glanced up at the other, not wanting to seem rude. But at the same time, she was slowly regretting wandering around the house. So she never kept eye contact for long.
