Ash had started down the hall, humming softly with his hand on Laura's back.
"That's good," he said softly, offering a smile. His ear twitched some when Laura touched it, but Ash didn't say anything, just chuckling some and smiling.
When his ear started to twitch, she jumped a little and pulled her hands back. She honestly hadn't expected him to have actually felt it.
"Oh- um… sorry, sir." Laura mumbled softly, burying her face in his shoulder when she had pulled away. Quietly she played with his shirt instead.
"Aw, it's alright Laura," Ash said, still chuckling some. "You don't have to be sorry. It's alright for you to touch them." Ash patted Laura's back, smiling some as he carried her into the kitchen.
"You're sure?" Laura asked softly, keeping her arms wrapped around his neck. She yawned once again as she pulled back enough to look at him, although she never let go of him as they walked.
"I- I don't wanna bother you, sir. I- I didn't… I didn't really think they were real." She admitted, face flushing.
Ash kept a secure hold on Laura as she pulled back to look at him, careful to keep her balanced. He couldn't help a chuckle, voice deep as always.
"I don't blame you. Most people don't- who's ever heard of someone actually having wolf ears? It really is okay, Laura, it's not a bother." Ash patted the girl's back lightly, stepping into the kitchen. They were first today, which meant they had it all to themselves.
"Alright, sir…" Laura bobbed her head up and down a little. "What are we making for breakfast?" She asked softly, glancing around the empty kitchen. Slowly she relaxed, resting her head back on his shoulder.
"Mm… and can I have something to drink? I'm kinda thirsty…"
"Well, I was thinking eggs like I mentioned before." Ash moved through the kitchen, glad to feel Laura relaxing.
"And sure! What would you like to have?"
"Oh- right." Laura flushed a little, fidgeting with her hair. She twisted it around her finger, glancing up at him when addressed again.
"Um, anything is fine, sir. I don't really care."
"Mm… well, how does some chocolate milk sound?" Ash smiled, setting Laura down gently so he could open the refrigerator to get the eggs out.
Laura's face lit up when he offered chocolate milk, bobbing her head up and down. She was grinning from ear to ear.
"It sounds good!" She chirped, sitting up tall in her seat.
Ash nodded in turn, smiling. He pulled the chocolate milk out, pouring Laura a glass.
"Here," he said, humming softly to himself. He put the milk up afterwards, pulling the eggs out to start cooking.
Laura gratefully took the glass, sipping from it carefully. She didn't want to drink it all at once.
"Thank you, sir…" She hummed, hair falling back in her face. "Mm… it's yummy."
"You're welcome, Laura!" Ash smiled as he looked at Laura, turning back to the eggs. "I'm glad you like it!" The man's tail wagged just a bit, his smile still on his lips. He wanted to make sure Laura's day was going to start out right.
When his tail started flicking back and forth, Laura watched it with a little smile. She found it slightly amusing, for whatever reason. Her rosy cheeks seemed to glow as she smiled, setting the half finished cup on the counter besides her. She wanted to save it for breakfast.
"Where am I suppose to be while you work, sir? Should I stay in my room?"
(Hey, uh… I think I'm going to have to drop this. I have too many rps at the moment, and I have to cut everything down to the ones I'm fully devoted to. I'm really sorry ;-;)
(Hey, it's all good, I totally understand. Not that you have to, but if ever in the future you'd want to continue, I'd probably be down aha)
(oh yeah, I'll definitely hit you up if I can! I really did enjoy this one, I just… Don't have the energy)
(That's totally understandable! I totally get it. Clearly you're way more important than this— so make sure to take care of yourself, alright?)
