Laura was rather oblivious to what he was thinking, settling her thoughts on her current situation.
"It's really good…" She hummed quietly, glancing up at him. "Miss Hayashi is a good cook…" She continued to eat, giving Mr. Ash her smile.
"Yes, she is. She's the one who started the diner." Ash smiled in turn. "I'm going to have the dinner role tomorrow. What do you think I should make?" He thought it might be fun to cook with Laura, if she was up to it. Though, he'd have to make sure to get her back to her room before everyone else came.
Laura paused what she was doing, trying to think of something. But when she came up short, she looked up at him.
"I don't really know, sir. I'm sure it's gonna be really good, though." She hummed, her smile pulling back up. She finished off her plate, setting it aside with a soft hum.
Ash nodded some, not upset Laura hadn't found an answer.
"Thank you, I'm sure it'll be good too." He smiled in turn, setting his plate aside when he finished.
Laura smiled still, getting up from her seat. She climbed up on her bed, looking over to Mr. Ash.
"Can… can we still watch a movie?" She asked softly, pulling her legs up into a crossed position. She looked somewhat excited, face lit up just a little.
Ash stood, nodding.
"Yes, we can." He smiled softly at Laura. "I'll go get the television, alright? You can think of what movie you'd like to watch."
Laura nodded a little in return, giving him a soft smile.
"Alright, sir. I can do that." She chirped in response, scooting over on her bed to leave a spot for him to sit.
Ash smiled at Laura, turning. He left the room for a moment, going into his room to unhook the television. He wound all the cables and dropped them over his arm, humming softly to himself. He picked the television up then, moving to go back.
Laura kept curled up on the bed, pulling the blankets up. She kept them up over her shoulders, seeming pretty happy as she curled up on the bed. When he came back in the room, she waved a little to Mr. Ash.
Ash grinned at Laura when he came back in.
"Comfy?" He pulled a table over to be opposite of the bed, setting the television down on it and hooking wires where they were needed.
Laura's face grew a soft rosy color as she bobbed her head up and down.
"Yes, sir." She chirped, nuzzling down further into the sheets. She pulled them up to her chin as she smiled to him.
Ash made his way over, remote in hand, sitting down next to Laura in the spot she had made for him earlier. He smiled back, glad to see Laura had calmed down for now.
"So, what did you decide we should watch?"
"Um… could- could we watch Peter Pan?" Laura asked softly, keeping the blankets right up at her face. She tried to hide the flush creeping up on her cheeks, still somewhat flustered. But her little smile remained.
"I- I don't really know a lot of movies…"
Ash smiled just a touch.
"Peter Pan sounds wonderful." He settled into his seat, his arm going around Laura as he flipped through, finding the movie. He hit play, smiling.
Laura curled up next to him, relieved he was okay watching it. She sighed softly, looking over to the screen when the movie started playing. Humming quietly to herself, she yawned a little as they lay there.
Ash fell quiet, content to cuddle and make sure Laura was doing okay. He hummed softly again, smiling.
The longer they lay there together, the movie eventually came to an end. Laura was still awake, but definitely looked pretty tired. She yawned and stretched, pulling away from Mr. Ash.
"Mmm… thank you for the movie, sir."
"Mm.. you're welcome." Ash smiled softly, looking down at Laura.
"I think it's time for bed," he said after a moment. He gave Laura a gentle hug, getting up off the bed.
"Mm… alright, sir." Laura nodded, yawning again. She rubbed at her eyes, starting to slid off the bed.
"Should… should I get ready?" She asked quietly, looking up at him from her place on the floor.
"Yes," Ash said softly. "I'll leave while you get changed, okay? And then I can come back in to help you settle down if you want." He smiled again.
"Yes please, sir." Laura nodded looking up at him. She smiled softly in return as she walked over to the closet.
"I can wear anything in here that fits, right?"
"Anything at fits, yeup!" Ash set about taking the tv out, bringing it to his own room.
Laura quickly changed after he left, wearing soft gray and blue colored pajamas. They were pretty simple, but she seemed to like them. When she was changed, she pulled her door open and looked around for Mr. Ash.
Ash had his own door open. He had finished setting his television down, smiling to himself. He was humming softly to himself. He looked up.
"Ah, ready?" he asked.
Nodding a little, Laura smiled softly.
"Yes, sir." She chirped, reaching out to hold onto his hand. She yawned again before rubbing at her eyes once more.
