(I'm sorry I've been really preoccupied lately. Did you want to do this thread, or start a new one, and do you want to do character sheets first?)
(I'm sorry I've been really preoccupied lately. Did you want to do this thread, or start a new one, and do you want to do character sheets first?)
(I was really hoping to go through with this one, and I'm good with blind.)
(Alright, cool)
(My only question was whether or not we had a plan for them to meet?
And is yours still playing vampire?
And also don't worry about not being able to get on, I totally feel that.)
(Ooh so we are doing the vampire thing. This should be super interesting. And idk, my character is supposed to be like a healer, and he also just likes hanging out and people watching. Also idk how quickly you want a relationship to happen, because he is capable of being super flirty with other guys, so they could meet in a public place and he asks for your guy’s number, or honestly any number of scenarios)
(Actually I believe we were possibly doing a vampire soul mate thing? But I don't know for sure about the soul mate part. Also I think we may have to go a bit more slowburn than that due to how flighty Rykah can be in certain situations. (He's the type to really clam up if someone random gets super flirty with him.) also with the healer part its also possible he finds my boi hurt? Or maybe something along those lines?)
(Yeah, that could work! And since we’re doing vampires it might be hard to work a soulmate plot into there, so we could just not do that if that’s cool with you.)
(Fair, I didn't think we were gonna do it anyway. Either way if were going with the healer finds injured guy trope, I can always have my boi break a wing and have him stuck with yours for a week.)
(Awww yes I’m down for that. What kind of setting? Like closer to modern day or???)
(Either setting works, and I was actually thinking maybe my boi got caught in a big storm and Idk maybe a tree fell on him?
(That could work. Wanna get started, or is there anything else we need to figure out?)
(If there's anything else we can do it on the fly. Do you wanna set the stage?)
(As in post a starter? Sure.)
(What else would I mean? XD)
(I figured, just wanted to make sure. I'll have it up in a few.)
Pollux strolled through paths in the woods, trying to clear his mind after today. There had been so much blood on one of the patients who had come in, and he could feel his stomach growling. He was absolutely starving. Usually it hadn't bothered him much, but this time, the conditions were just right that he almost couldn't control his urges to lap up every last drop and maybe even go so far as to sink his fangs into their neck to drain whatever might be left. Those urges disgusted him.
Pollux then had to excuse himself, citing that he suddenly felt sick, and he left work. He may as well have been sick. That was about as close as he got to it anymore.
As he continued walking, the wind started to pick up. At first, Pollux thought nothing of it, but out of nowhere, the bottom fell out. He ran to shelter himself under a small pavilion a few hundred feet down the path. Rolling his eyes, he plopped down at one of the picnic tables.
"Goddammit, of all times…" he muttered.
Not only was it a long way back, but he'd also brought his motorcycle, so there was no way he was getting out of this dry unless the rain cleared up. Except, instead of letting up, the rain came down in harsher torrents, and the rumble of thunder was audible in the distance.
Rykah whimpered a bit as the winds pulled at his feathers, his tail held against his chest as he stumbled through the trees searching for shelter, his wings constantly catching the wind and pulling his small frame off balance.
He cringed when he heard thunder in the distance, his hood flying back to reveal his flattened Wolf's ears ad he picked up the pace, his violet eyes searching the trees for anything that might protect him from the oncoming storm.
Pollux perched on the edge of the table, trying to ride out the storm, but he was growing impatient. Might as well trudge through the rain, right? It would be an annoyance, but no real harm to him. Yet he found himself staying, quite tense at the idea of doing so.
A bright bolt of lightning struck near the treetops, and wind gusted. Small branches were already falling from some of the trees. If it got any worse, it might actually be dangerous to drive anyhow. With that, he decided to stay in place, at least for now.
Rykah gave a small cry of fear when the first bolts of lightening struck, his wings flaring out of habit. But this was a mistake, proven as the wind picked up and a gust of wind and rain sent him flying. His wings flared more as his fingers dug into his tail, further destabilizing him as the wind had more to grab onto before slamming his back into a tree, leaving him dazed in a crumble of red and violet feathers and fur on the ground.
Whimpering quietly he tried to pick himself up again, the wet and muddy ground making this difficult. This was his downfall as another bolt of lightening struck, hitting a nearby tree, causing it to start giving in to gravity. By the time Rykah noticed, it was far too late to get out of the way.
Luckily he wasn't conscious long enough to feel his wing break, a story branch striking his head and knocking him unconscious as the brunt of the tree fell on top of him, bending his wing at an awkward angle, and pinning his tail down into the mud, the force of impact cracking a few ribs to boot.
Pollux cursed under his breath.
Screw it, I'm going home. I'll just take a warm shower when I get back.
He stood up and started over towards where Rykah would be laying, and he saw a spread of feathers and fur under a tangle of branches. His gaze honed in on whatever- or whoever had been caught, and he started over, more curious than concerned at first. Pollux then realized Rykah was lying there, unconscious and very hurt, probably.
"Hey!" he shouted as he moved even closer.
I should be able to lift that tree up easy enough. As long as I don't hurt him any more.
Pollux lowered his hands to move the trunk out of the way. He made sure the weight of the tree didn't shift onto the other's body any harder, and made sure to move the fallen tree well aside.
Before trying to move Rykah anywhere, he attempted to get him to wake up.
"Hey, hey… You're gonna be okay, I've got you."
Rykah flinched a little when the weight lifted off of him. His wings were splayed out on either side of him, both weighted down with water and mud. Luckily he did come to at the others callings, giving a low whimper of pain in response. All he could feel right now was the pain in his wing, landing up to his shoulder and back, drowning out the slightly duller ache in his chest.
"It's alright," Pollux soothed, "Can you talk to me? What's your name?"
He was aware getting soaked like they were wasn't great, but he needed to make sure he wasn't going to hurt Rykah too much by moving him. He was going to ask more, but he held off for a moment, so as not to overwhelm him more.
"Hurts…" whimpered Rykah, turning his head slightly to keep his face out of the mud, too focused on his wing to force out much else, "M-My wing…" He didn't care try to move it, being unable to see what was going on with it. But unfortunately moving him would require tucking his wings in or the damage would be worse.
"I know, I know," Pollux murmured, "I'll help you, but first I need to figure out if it's safe to move you or not. Have you hurt your neck or back?"
He moved around to find stuff to make a splint. All of the branches and things were soaked, but it was all he had at the moment, so he gathered the best he could find.
"I'll stabilize your wing the best I can, and I can care for you better once we're elsewhere."
Rykah cringed at another loud crash of thunder that rang through, "d-don' think so.." he got out, clearly scared of the loud noise, the crackling flash of lightening not helping either.
