Sorrel felt a little surprised by Cas's response. Did he really feel the same? Well, that's something cute! It excited him, to say the least. He didn't even know what to say to the other.
Sorrel felt a little surprised by Cas's response. Did he really feel the same? Well, that's something cute! It excited him, to say the least. He didn't even know what to say to the other.
Cas stayed silent, trembling slightly from nerves as he huddled closer. Nix lay on his back and yawned, purring quietly to relax Cas.
"Calm down, calm down." Sorrel whispered to Cas, quietly. He didn't want to startle the other.
"I-I'm fine…" He replied softly, keeping his eyes closed. He wouldn't be able to look at Sorrel and he knew it.
"You won't be able to sleep if your heart's going a million an hour," Sorrel tried to reason with the other.
"True, but It'll slow down eventually, right?" He asked, finally casting a tentative glance up at Sorrel.
"Sure, sure." Sorrel said. He cuddled Cas loosely, giving him wiggle room is he didn't like it. "You're always right…"
"If you say so…" Cas hesitated before laying his head on Sorrel's chest and closing his eyes again.
Sorrel eventually closed his eyes as well. He rested into the couch, after getting comfortable. He went to say something, before loosely falling to sleep.
It took Cas a while longer to fall asleep, but he eventually managed it with Nix's help.
( time skip to the next morning? )
(Sure)
Sorrel yawned softly. During the night, he'd eventually held onto Cas like a teddy bear. He opened his eyes, and groaned. "Morning, morning, morning." He mumbled.
Cas was still asleep and seemed to be pretty comfortable. Sorrel was a lot warmer and more comfortable than anything he'd slept on before. Nix had moved to curl up beside the two of the on the couch, soft purrs emanating from him.
Sorrel smiled as he noticed Cas still sleeping. He ran his fingers through his hair, and thought about the plans that he had set with them. He grinned widely, quite excited for what was to come.
Cas leaned into Sorrel's hand a bit and yawned, a soft smile growing onto his features as he slept.
"You'll never know how cute you are, little guy." Sorrel asked, kindly.
Cas stirred a few minutes later, shifting around a bit before he opened his eyes and looked up at Sorrel sleepily. "Mmm… mornin'…" He mumbled.
"Good morning, kitten. Sleep well?" Sorrel asked, as he wrapped his arms around the other. He softly fluffed his hair up.
He nodded, yawning again as he tried to pry himself away from the clutches of sleep. He was still very sleepy and sluggish for the moment.
Sorrel grinned as he carefully moved to allow himself room to get up, and not disturb the other. "I'll make some breakfast, feel free to sleep a little longer," He whispered, sweetly. He left the couch to go and make some food for the two of them.
"Mm…" Cas curled up again when Sorrel left, shivering a bit in the other's absence. Regardless, he managed to doze off again anyway.
Sorrel cracked a few eggs into a pan, the one that'd been unused for what seemed to be weeks. He skillfully cooked them, turning the things into actual fried eggs. All the while, he had some bread roasting itself in the toaster. He thought about what to feed the kittens.
The kittens were scampering about, typically around Sorrel's feet and in the way. Nix had hopped onto the back of the couch and was watching them with a bored expression.
Sorrel bent down and picked all of the kittens up, knowing the food was going to be alright alone, for a minute or two. He put Cloud on top of his head, and laughed. "Let's see, what do you guys want to eat?" He asked them, as if they were human. A mewl came from one of them. "Oh, I see. I'll get that made up!" Sorrel exclaimed. Somehow, the guy balanced all of the kittens as he filled a short bowl with milk.
