Sorrel held onto Cas as he made his way out of the home, completely prepared for the day. He kept his speed slower, also, knowing Cas couldn't rest if he rushed everything.
Sorrel held onto Cas as he made his way out of the home, completely prepared for the day. He kept his speed slower, also, knowing Cas couldn't rest if he rushed everything.
"So, how long does it take to get there?" Cas asked, looking up at Sorrel while they walked. "The… uh… you said aquarium, right?"
"Yep. We're swinging a fun trolley ride to it." Sorrel said, yet another surprise he'd planned out. He pointed towards the bench that was only a few steps away. "Right there. We'll be waiting here." He said.
"Sounds good to me." Cas sat beside Sorrel and rested his head on the other's shoulder. He set Nix down on his lap while they waited.
Sorrel gently stroked Nix, and held Cas close to him. He enjoyed how the other existed, his whole existence became more beautiful by the day. "Have you ever been out to see a whole bunch of animals?" Sorrel asked, broadly.
Cas shook his head. "You have to pay to get in, and I've never had much money. Nor would my father have taken me anywhere when I was a kid."
"Well, I hope you like this place." Sorrel said. He wanted to curse the kid's father, he seemed like such a cruel man.
"I'm sure I will." Cas smiled softly and closed his eyes. "When will the trolley get here?" He asked.
"Few minutes, I'm sure." Sorrel replied. Short and sweet, it was easier than most of his words. "I'm sorry if that seems to be long."
"I'm sure it'll be fine." Cas stroked Nix a bit. "Is there anything you wanna talk about while we wait?" He asked.
"Sure. Did you ever like someone? I guess I've been wondering that. I honestly think I know the answer though, by now." Sorrel asked the other.
"Um… yeah, actually. I've had my heart broken a few times. I tend to get really emotionally attached to people and then they take advantage of me."
"Really? I'd have never guessed… that. I guess I know what I shouldn't do, then." Sorrel replied. He smiled, with a good intention at heart. "I'll be kind to you, and careful."
"Thanks, Sor…" Cas smiled softly and huddled a bit closer to him. He definitely tended to fall in love quickly and be far too trusting. He also tended to be clingy and very attached to his partner. Unfortunately, that usually led to him getting hurt.
"It's nothing." Sorrel said, as he eyed the trolley approaching them. "Trolley's here." Sorrel informed the other, as he stood up. He offered Cas a hand.
Cas accepted it and followed Sorrel onto the trolley with Nix in his free arm. He was still smiling and seemed to be in good spirits.
"This is my favorite way to go around," Sorrel said, as the trolley began to go. Wind filtered through all of the open windows.
Cas watched out the window, intrigued. "How long does it take to get there?" He asked. He still hadn't let go of Sorrel.
"Maybe ten minutes if the wind wants to speed us up." Sorrel said. He grabbed onto the door frame of the trolley, and hung himself out of it. They allowed that, and he loved doing it.
"Sorrel!" Cas grabbed him and pulled him back in. "You're gonna fall out! What are you doing??" He seemed concerned now, and he didn't want to let go of Sorrel.
"It's called wind-gliding!" Sorrel exclaimed with a laugh. "It's where you keep hold of the trolley and hang out, a little too literally." Sorrel said, with a lazy laugh. "I love doing it, you ought to try it." He said, as he edged closer to the other.
Cas shook his head fervently and hugged Sorrel's arm so he couldn't fall out. "That sounds pretty dangerous…"
"I live for thrills. Sometimes it ends in roughness but it's a great way to exist." Sorrel admitted. He stepped in a little bit more, so that Cas would be alright. "But okay, I won't. Just for you."
"Thanks, Sor…" Cas clung a little tighter to Sorrel's arm. "I just don't want you to get hurt…"
"I won't get hurt, not ever." Sorrel said. Immortality and immunity seemed to be false, but he was going to try if it were for Cas's sake.
