She raised her eyebrows a little. "So…what?"
She raised her eyebrows a little. "So…what?"
Jade chuckled a little with a shrug. “I can't think of anything.” she admitted.
She laughed. "I get it."
“Oh! Have you made any progress with that gang situation you told me about?” she asked, remembering their last conversation when the gangs were teaming up during the prison break.
"Oh yeah! Yes, I have. It's gone pretty well."
"That's good to hear." she smiled at her colleague.
She nodded. "What about you? Any developments?"
"No, nothing really." she admitted with a shrug. Jade briefly considered mentioning the cold case she and Killian were working on… but decided against it. She had been told all that information in confidence and she had no intention of breaking it.
Raven nodded. "I get it."
Jade looked back up at Raven and gave a brief small smile. "I'm not going to lie but it gets kind of annoying when stuff doesn't happen. Which is why I try to stay busy with these little projects."
"Yeah, I get that. What other projects are you working on?"
"Mostly just this one at the moment. I'm struggling with the propulsion system and how to maneuver it." she told her. "I obviously don't want to use combustion since it's too volatile but hydraulics don't seem like they'd work either and sonic is… almost more of a weapon than a realistic option." she explained.
She nodded a little. "I…don't understand much of that, but…good luck?"
Jade blinked for a moment and laughed when she realized how she phrased her dilemma. “Sorry. I… I just got caught up with the technical part.” she smiled. “Sorry.”
She laughed again. "Yeah, no problem. I'm an architect, in uh, normal life, so I don't quite speak the same sort of technical jargon."
“Ah!” she smiled, nodding a little. “Well, that's an admirable profession. I bet you have your jargon as well then.” she said interested, though she understood that she probably wouldn't understand much of it either.
"Yes, i do, and i won't bore you with it. Don't worry."
“It’s alright. I don't think it bore me, but it would take me a while to understand it.” she assured her.
She nodded a little. "Still." she smiled a little.
“Fair enough.” she chuckled.
She smiled over at Jade, running a hand through her hair.
Jade smiled back. “Have you designed anything recently?”
She nodded. "Mhm. I'm working on a building for some clients. They wanted me to come up with a plan for them, after they told me what they wanted, of course."
“Of course.” Jade chuckled in agreement. “Getting the client's approval is probably the most important part of any job. What kind of building is it?”
"A house. Not my favorite thing to build, but it can be fun, especially with certain clients."
